Sandy Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Well, I guess I have myself to blame for Namyrra not showing up, using a head from sets you're unlikely to have and all. (I almost expect you to have the set Namyrra's torso is from though, and I know you have the skirt ) Yes, I have all of her pieces - except the head. Sorry... Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I must say again it's such an awesome idea making the heros and putting them in the hall, I love all the variety in the characters and I admire people's imagination. Thanks so much for making Haldor , his little ABS heart is fluttering to see Jess again, despite the fact she has teleported magically back to the arena before he can see her. Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Hey Zepher when will are quest be finished, will it end in time for me to sign up for thew new quest? Hopefully if I do get into it I won't die in the first battle . Quote
Zepher Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I posted a day or two ago that we have about a week and half left! Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Oh, I totally didn't get that, sorry:blush:. Quote
The Legonater Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I'm actually a little surprised that Dyric isn't in there, seeing as he uses fairly common parts. I'm not angry, just a tad dissapointed. Nonetheless, you've done a smashing job Sandy, and look forward to seeing what else you plan to do with the heroes. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Update on Finnegan's Bestiary: As you may have noticed, I am posting each type as laid out in the rules. I have decided that each beast featured will have an entry, minus repeat creatures. I will list specials (If QMs notice ommited detail after I post the updates, let me know) from their higher levels but I have no intention of the dex being a standard, just as a record. The first post will contain links to each post as a contents page. Named Characters will be detailed by myMme Rouge Doux's later work. The bulk of foes being monsters, I need to keep on top of them or be overwhelmed. After the current quest information is in, I will have a lot easier a task. This new phase is such a big change from my first version that it is a lot of work I hope you all find it at least entertaining once it is written. Final Note: Finnegan can always be found somewhere in the Library, shouting his name might rouse him from wherever he ensconces himself. He will happily address concerns about missing details and questions on monsters etcetera. Quote
Tanma Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 A question have I, says Yoda. Can a player buy more custom shaped tools? They would still have the same effect, but they might have a different design. Example; buying a Mocktril Throwing Knife with the features of a Mockthril Shuriken. It would still need to be retrieved and it could not be used as a melee weapon, the only difference is that it would be shaped like a knife. Or maybe even something as extreme as a living tool. For instance; a Crab in place of a Shovel. It won't be able to aid the teams in battle or anything, but it could dig much like a Shovel. Likewise it would cost as much as a Shovel, since it has the same characteristics. Is this plausible? Quote

Well, if you ever host a quest, you can put as many digging crabs for sale as you like, but the things sold in the Marketplace are standard stuff. Sorry. As far as weapons go, you can freely rename them after you purchase them, as long as their type and power does not change. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Very cool Sandy! I like that the hall looks so much fuller now. Quote
Darkdragon Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 With so many people having signed up, I'm in the process of taking new pictures of the Heroica Hall with as many of the player characters I was able to make. Here's some pictures, with more to come: [Edit:link to actual post with photos]PICS I have to beg forgiveness to those of you who cannot find yourself from the pics, but for one reason or another I just couldn't make your character. As you can see, some of the characters might look a bit different due to me not having specific parts or because of small avatars from which I could not see the original parts used. Hope you like these, anyway! Sandy this is so great! Thanks for including my character too. Quote
Sandy Posted October 9, 2011 Author Posted October 9, 2011 The pictures in the first post of Heroica Hall have been updated. Now the place looks much livelier. I'll post them here for quick viewing pleasure. Named Characters will be detailed by myMme Rouge Doux's later work. The bulk of foes being monsters, I need to keep on top of them or be overwhelmed. I'm definitely looking forward to this! Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 It looks really nice and lively now Sandy, I see Haldor is having a meal with Jess and Mister Docken. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Great new pics Sandy! Who is the woman standing with Skrall and skeleton guy near the quest board? Quote
Sandy Posted October 9, 2011 Author Posted October 9, 2011 Who is the woman standing with Skrall and skeleton guy near the quest board? Your answer: Kara stopped outside the doors to Heroica, looking up at the impressive building with a slight doubt on her mind. The last year she had wandered, not doing much of anything outside of traveling, and had finally wound up here at Eubric, home of the renowned Heroica. This was the best shot at doing something good with her life that she had run into in awhile, the chance to join a group of heroes going out specifically to right wrongs, what else could one ask for? Taking a deep breath, Kara pushed open the doors to the entrance, taking a step into the cooler entrance hall from the hot warm air outside. Surprisingly, it was quiet inside, two large stairways ahead, with a board on the ground level and a bar above. For such a well known organization boasting many heroes, it sure was empty. Of course Kara figured this meant everyone was out elsewhere doing something of noble intentions, and that she was late to getting to the party. She'd just have to make up for lost time on her first few quests, that was all. She headed towards the Questboard, but outside of a few lists of recruited heroes for recent quests, there was nothing current to be signed into. Sighing with a shrug of her shoulders, Kara straightened out her ponytail quickly before turning back towards the stairs that surrounded the edges of the lobby. Might as well get a drink, some food and meet any other heroes left behind until something came up that she could join. A short trek up the stairs revealed a mostly empty bar, only two Rangers at the bar, a few others at various tables and Scheherazade once again cleaning the floor. Sitting down at one of the empty tables, Kara quickly removed her cloak and sword from her back, setting them down on the bench next to her. Placing her shield atop of the rest of her items, she smiled with a slight stretch, glad to be rid of the weight once again. "Can I get you anything, darling?" The Orc barmaid asked as she passed by. "Um, just a water." Kara answered, glancing up from staring at her katana. "A large, large glass if you have one." Scheherazade nodded and headed back to the bar, tending to the two Rangers before returning quickly to Kara's table, a large glass in one hand and a pitcher of water in the other. Kara's smile back properly said more thanks than the small "thanks" she muttered as she poured a full glass as the barmaid returned to the bar, downing it quickly before filling another. This second one she spilled more civilized, but obviously she should have brought more water with her on the last leg of her journey. Glancing around the bar and seeing nothing of particular interest, Kara turned back to her glass and stuff. A new cloak would be needed soon, her current one was worn. Some new armor wouldn't hurt either, the ancient chainmail she wore was old and torn; and at one point in her journey she'd had to trade her breastplate for passage on a ship. Still, that could be fixed later with a trip to the market, though she didn't have much gold left to spend… - - - - - Lady Kara Linette, Level 1 Knight 26 Year Old Female Human Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Great photos, it really brings the set to life. Where did you get the shield with the two headed phoenix, or the one with the deer? I don't recall seeing them in any sets. Quote

I don't recall seeing them in any sets. The double-headed eagle is the crest of Durmstrang, a rival wizarding school to Hogwarts in the Harry Potter theme. I bought the shield separately from Bricklink, but it originally came with this set: The deer is the crest of the Forestmen from classic Castle, of course. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 You know, when I see these figures all together, I can think of only two words: Heroic Mafia. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I can't say I'm surprised not to see Ad-Hoh amongst the heroes. I didn't think you'd own Rotta. Nonetheless, I really love the new Heroica Hall layout! The place looks a lot more active now. Great job, Sandy! Quote
K-Nut Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I see that now I'm just hitting on talking to Nyx. I like how Artamor and Owen are talking, probably bragging about which animal is better. I also like how you replaced the images in the Heroica Hall topic. It's pretty nice, since I'm pretty obvious. Quote

I actually do own Rotta the Huttlet (and what a cute little fellow he is!), but I don't have the torso you used. And I ran out of brown capes... Quote

swils Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 When an ally is KO'ed, can any sort of healing be used to bring them back, or must it be Cleric healing/Phoenix essence, or could I dump my potion all over De'Kra's face and have him snap back to attention? Quote

Only Phoenix Essence. Cleric healing won't work, either. Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 De'kra won't be snapping back to attention even after the battle ends. He will return to the land of mortals, but he might be a little...smaller than he is now. And I don't mean in stature. Quote
