Waterbrick Down Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Maybe we should get all the elven gals together on a quest sometime. Alexis, Erdy, Nerwen, Jess... maybe throw in Namyrra as an honorary elf. Edit: Random question of the day. Where are the dwarves? There have only been a handful of players who've played dwarves, and none active currently. Why no love for our bearded, stumpy-legged brethren? I noticed this as well and have been tossing around quest ideas about a Dwarven colony living under Mount Ulysses. Hopefully I'll have something a little more concrete in the weeks ahead. Quote
Sandy Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 I've been reading through some of the earlier quests again, and it seems there are still some unanswered questions regarding Sandy's main plot. So I am wondering: 1. What was the deal with those bottles containing spirits found in the warehouse of Quest 2? Did the Ziegfrieds ever do anything with them? 2. What ever happened to Zelda? Did she recover from whatever Abraxas did, and are the Ziegfrieds still fighting the demon? 1. In the bottles were captured souls that Zed Ziegfried was feeding Abraxas. The souls were released by the Ziegfrieds. 2. Zelda fully recovered at the end of Quest#14, and the Ziegfried plotline is all about fighting the demon. I just have to run many plotlines at the same time, so it'll have to wait for its turn. But boy, will the story finale be a fun one! Also, I was wondering about some locations marked on the maps in the Library topic. Does anyone remember if any quests took place in the High Kingdoms? If my memory serves me right then I remember Sandy posting in the Library topic about how that region was all destroyed and reclaimed by various hostile factions, but I also remember a quest taking place in Fortaan. The entire High Kingdoms were not destroyed, just the Kingdom of Ennon. The other kingdoms are prospering, although there's some skirmishes between them. There's also the Low Kingdoms to the south of them, but they are poorer, having suffered from the Orcish Invasion more during the past. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I wasn't expecting that response... uuuuuuuuuhhhhhh.... would you believe five and a half ticked-off cub scouts wielding pocketknives?" Love the reference, Flare! Quote
Palathadric Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I've always thought that Pretzel was simply as good at counting as he was at preaching, that he just got the numbers wrong or was exaggerating his age. As for the 'dark side' pretzel only has 8 more battles himself. What will he do then? Pretzel the witch? The nature worshiping Druid? The Ennoc worshiping Paladin? The blood-magic shaman? I guess that just leaves sage... You know Pretzel too well. I was considering sage seriously, but come on: Pretzel? Sagacious? I think not! Welcome, Pharos! Also, Endgame, I hope this isn't a progg quest in disguise. If it is and you're hosting it while I am away, I will double-kill Sorrow whenever I meet him next! Quote

I wanted to host a smaller quest with advanced classes and fill the story gap before I step up to the plate for 36's sequel. I'll take steps to ensure you and (possibly) the rest of the 36er's can return to tie up any of the loose ends you left. And trust me: you left a ton. Edited August 14, 2012 by Endgame Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Benji- Potion Benji vs. Croise B- Miss Sorrow vs. Fantome Croise- Critical Hit Because this looks like an important battle, just wanted to make sure that you know that Wardens' "Misses" count as "Aims". Waterbrick Down Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Wait what? Hold on. A Warden's "Miss" roles become "Aims" due to their half Ranger skill set. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) A Warden's "Miss" roles become "Aims" due to their half Ranger skill set. Oops. Fixed. Sorry everyone. And that's why I wanted Sorrow and Lycan on my quest, not confusing. Edited August 14, 2012 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Oops. Fixed. Sorry everyone. And that's why I wanted Sorrow and Lycan on my quest, not confusing. Also Benji's aim should have done 2x damage due to his crossbow being darkness elemental. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Also Benji's aim should have done 2x damage due to his crossbow being darkness elemental. Why did I make the Fantome the only Holy/Demon enemy? Fixing again. Quote
Flare Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Also Benji's aim should have done 2x damage due to his crossbow being darkness elemental. Thank you for helping me to not be cheated by my quest master! I'm keeping an eye on you, Capn... Edited August 14, 2012 by Flare Quote

Tanma Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Wow, I just realized that the final battle of Dastan has already lasted 40 pages! What a great way to end an eight quest long saga! (or at least the first leg of the saga.) Quote
CMP Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) What a great way to end an eight quest long saga! (or at least the first leg of the saga.) Whaaa? 8 quests? First leg? In any case, Quest 30's now the longest quest recorded so far. Edited August 14, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
JimBee Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Several of the heroes have mentioned involvement with the high kingdoms. Dyric Rone, Arasmyth RuGard, Nerwen and Sorrow have all incorporated it into their back stories. I know Dyric Rone has mentioned Duplovia, but I can't seem to remember the rest of you. Wish you guys would put a bio in your profile, now I have to skim through your quests again. I think it would be a cool idea to have every Hero "hometown/place/cave/tree/hole in the ground" on a map with little icons, what do you think? Might be cool, but a lot of locations aren't on the map. For example, Baltorak (the orc wastelands) or Scandinavia wherever Eric and Haldor come from. My, my, JimB, full of questions lately, aren't we? All the time. Thanks for the answers, Flitwick and Sandy! Whaaa? 8 quests? First leg? I think he's referring to Quests 4, 7, 17, 18, and 19 as being part of the Dastan quests. And they are, but not speaking for the other QMs here, Quest 29 is not a direct sequel to 18. Quote
Sisco Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Man, I love being an assassin. Insta-killing stuff and reaping gold and whatnot. Quote

And they are, but not speaking for the other QMs here, Quest 29 is not a direct sequel to 18. Oh. Right, I thought the Quests you listed were all just separate Quests that served as some background for Dastan. Didn't think they were part of the trilogy itself. Quote
Tanma Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Whaaa? 8 quests? First leg? In any case, Quest 30's now the longest quest recorded so far. Well Quest 4 introduced the Lion Knights and Brobric Elves, the war between was fought in Quest 17. Since the Lion Knights factor greatly in this quest, I count those quests as prequels to the trilogy. And Quest 7 introduced Wren, while Quest 19 went deeper into her motives. Since she is involved, I connect them to this adventure as well. Finally Quest 18 is linked by a journel we in Quest 29 found. So unless there are other quests I missed, that is a total of eight quests, five used to set up the trilogy. The first leg part refers to hinted future Wren quests, as I am unsure what they contain. Endgame Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Not sure how you've done it, but you're at the brink of victory in Dastan! All the choas beasts are weak, Lucan is weak, and Sir Loren and XX have lost a third of their health Quote
