Khorne Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I have a question for Sandy. When wearing those Sticky Gloves, do I get +50% income from all Steal-based attacks, or does the effect only apply to my Shield, i.e. Ravage? Quote
Pandora Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Perhaps I have a different setting somewhere, all I get is the first page of the topic... On the search results page, each 'snippet' has a curly arrow in the top left corner, just like in the top left corner of your quote above. If you click on that arrow it will take you directly to that particular post. Quote

When wearing those Sticky Gloves, do I get +50% income from all Steal-based attacks, or does the effect only apply to my Shield, i.e. Ravage? Of course it applies to all stealing skills. In your case, you'll get 50% more gold from both "Ravage" and "Steal". I'm not aware that there would be any other means of stealing... Quote

Flipz Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 OK, looks like it might be a little longer than I thought before I can get internet again, so again, my earlier "plans" stand, with the added note that once the battle is over, Arthur will exchange his Scroll of Confusion with De'kra's Scroll. I'll find and quote that post for easy reference. OK, I hate to do this, but my Internet access will be really spotty starting Monday and continuing for about a week, so I need to make some preparations in advance just in case I'm not able to get online. First, should the need arise, Zepher may determine Arthur's role-playing actions, particularly if Wren is involved. As far as battle actions go, Arthur will follow the other Heroes' advice in this order: Atramor, then Cronk, then Skrall. Second: If the Dastan Quest ends, please consider Arthur to be signed up for Quest 38. Third: If the Dastan Quest ends, Arthur will immediately settle as many of his debts as possible. This means: The_Customizer, Erdathcath may take 75 Gold from Arthur, if you are still willing to sell him your Scroll of Weakening. Bricksandparts, Alf is authorized to claim 124 gold, as previously agreed, for the purchase of the Healing Staff and for the purchase of the Scroll of Luck. Fourth: If Arthur wins a Scroll from the lottery that he already has (this includes the Scroll of Weakening if Erdathcath says she's still willing to sell it), he will attempt to negotiate a trade for a Scroll of Frailty. If he wins anything else, he will hold on to it. Fifth: If Arthur has any leftover money, he will attempt to purchase a Robe of Archmagi, or, if he does not have enough money for this, a pair of Spellbound Gloves. He will make no other purchases. Lastly: To the Party Leaders of the Dastan Quests (Skrall, Thothwick, Sarick): Arthur will seek the Topaz from Lord Blackenord, as well as as much Gold as he can convince you to let him have. He will not seek the Zoot's Plaything, though he will ask to touch it for just a moment, to give it to whoever ultimately recieves it. I hate to have to put this in such a cold, mechanical manner, but I want to be prepared in case Idaho has no wi-fi. Quote
Sandy Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 Its just that in the description, it says that it adds 50% for all mugs... so apparently mugs = stealing Umm, the description of the item in the Marketplace is different... "Sticky Gloves – Increases the amount of gold stolen by 50% (rounded up), suitable for rogues." Quote
Flare Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Umm, the description of the item in the Marketplace is different... "Sticky Gloves – Increases the amount of gold stolen by 50% (rounded up), suitable for rogues." Thats not what it says in the description that Khorne gave me... Sorry, my mistake! Quote
Zepher Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Well, that only took two hours. Quest 39ers, love you for being patient. Though Scuba has it worse, since JimBee and Bd know why I'm nearly never posting in that thread. All in all, I think the quest will probably still conclude in under a month. I'll update later today, I'm sorry, but I'm a little bit... brain dead right now. Sorry! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I love the thought you have put in to the items, Dastan QMs, but does anyone else think that the Sword of Ancestral Hatred is overpowered? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I love the thought you have put in to the items, Dastan QMs, but does anyone else think that the Sword of Ancestral Hatred is overpowered? No. It's each kill, not each hit. You have to be the one to make the finishing blow. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 OK, so that's why it not available to Barbarians then Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 OK, so that's why it not available to Barbarians then It's available to rogues right? So what if one becomes an assassin, with the instant kill feature? Quote
CMP Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 So what if one becomes an assassin, with the instant kill feature? Sword of Ancestral Hatred + Cloak of the Red Assassin = WP: 99 Quote
Endgame Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 And thus ends the Dastan trilogy... I think? Poor Skrall is probbaly making a spreadsheet to divvy the loot correctly. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Also would be very handy for a Raider! In fact, I'd Make Tarn be one if he was given it Ah, looks like Xander is going to be a Raider. Great choice! Edited August 15, 2012 by Rumble Strike Quote
Tanma Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I have to say it is interesting how many people spell De'kra's name wrong. It's spelt with a lower case k, not upper case. Not a big deal though. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Wow. You guys were so close! Fantome lost over half his health, you got rid of one of his guards. Great job. Too bad your luck turned sour in the end. Quote

Too bad your luck turned sour in the end. We came a lot closer then I thought we would. I'm still unsure whether the battle was completely balanced, but hey, atleast we didn't go down in history as the first party to fail due to TKO. it was a great quest while it lasted. Quote

Well at least it is not cliche, heroes save the princess, blah blah blah. Heroes surrender to badguy, villian chops princess's head off. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Do we get a reward if we chop her head off ourselves? Quote

Endgame Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Can I throw my ice bomb into the pile of ether cores, detonating a frost nuke? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Can I throw my ice bomb into the pile of ether cores, detonating a frost nuke? That brings a whole new meaning to "nuclear winter." You instantly KO the party, unless Benji rolled aura, but then you kill the princess, failing the quest anyways, and blowing up an entire town.... no. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 ROFL. That's my new screen saver. I so wanna give you extra points or gold or something for that. Quote
