Bricksandparts Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Ok, you know how we will be able to be 2 classes once we get to level 15, I was wondering, once we get there, will we be able to upgrade to 3 classes, then 4 and so on? if so then I would be a barbarian (now) add mage so I have ether and magic ability, then knight for shield. UsernameMDM Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Is there any advantage to playing a base class at lvl 15+? Quote
legobodgers Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I am loving Galadrya and Celebryon, nice reference to the Lord of the Rings. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 First quest complete! Wrote a bit of a blurb in the Heroica Hall thread that goes with my idea for my character's look to progress. Being a 1st level adventurer, he didn't start out with much, but now has a little more, especially thanks to the generosity of the QM at the end! I think getting the mail armor is a good way to explain the increase in health as well as a way to update his look. Now I just need to take a pic of the new and slightly improved Hoke Ablesword. Rumble Strike Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 My thanks to cralegoboy for being a super Quest Master under difficult circumstances. The premise of the quest was simple but knew exactly what it wanted to be, and the Lego-built sets and enemy pics were lovely. Thanks also to my fellow adventurers, we did great! I have to say that it really helped me questing alongside the creator of the RPG, so special thanks to Sandy. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Thanks cralegoboy for a good quest with a nice fancy sword out of the deal Oh and Rumble Strike, if Tarn wants to woo Tesni, she will be going clothes shopping soon and returning with a new outfit Quote
Sandy Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 Thank you, cralegoboy, for a job well done! I know you went through a lot during this hosting duty, but you pulled it through! Now I'm off to find a new quest with my awesome fiery staff (which matches perfectly with Ellaria's outfit, btw). Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 So, similar to using an item in battle, could someone choose simply to not attack at all during a fight? Quote
Sandy Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 So, similar to using an item in battle, could someone choose simply to not attack at all during a fight? Of course you can skip your turn, if you so wish. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Oh and Rumble Strike, if Tarn wants to woo Tesni, she will be going clothes shopping soon and returning with a new outfit Tarn gets his wallet out and follows Tesni around the shops, when asked, saying that everything looks great on her and that her bum definitely does not look big in that dress! Tanma Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Is there a difference between Alchemy and magic here? Historically Alchemy is more of a pseudoscience, rather than magically. Does that describe the two arts accurately? Quote
Sandy Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 Is there a difference between Alchemy and magic here? Historically Alchemy is more of a pseudoscience, rather than magically. Does that describe the two arts accurately? Yes, they're two different things, although both are supernatural phenomena. Hence there's a rivalry between the alchemists and the mages. Alchemy is more scientific, dealing with metals, potions, brews, explosives, herbs etc. But I trust WBD's quest will introduce everyone to the world of alchemy better. Quote

Good to know, De'kra will probably side with the Guild then. Not that the city necessarily is headed towards war between fractions of course. By the way, were there different houses in the past? We know different houses cameo power at different times, and the city is ever changing, so is it possible that some houses died out over the ages? Quote
K-Nut Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Yes, thanks for being an awesome host cralegoboy! I managed to get some good loot out of it, and hopefully more if Hoke accepts my offer for his gem. Althior can do a lot of shopping now. Once my order arrives for BL. Quote

Yes, I've been thinking that there have been many powerful families that have fallen during the years. The Hinckwells have been around at least as long as Heroica, but The Shadeaux and The Ji Pei have gotten a foothold in Eubric just recently. The art of alchemy isn't very old, either, in comparison to magic. Quote
Sisco Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Thanks for your participation, guys! The quest wouldn't have been nearly as successful without you guys. My thanks to cralegoboy for being a super Quest Master under difficult circumstances. The premise of the quest was simple but knew exactly what it wanted to be, and the Lego-built sets and enemy pics were lovely. Thanks, Rumble. I worked hard building the sets, but my pictures were definitely not up to Reviewer's Academy Teacher standards. Blasted new studio! Thanks cralegoboy for a good quest with a nice fancy sword out of the deal I hope you enjoy it, I thought that a sword of darkness would go pretty well with Tesni. And a special thanks for helping me along with my first hosting (of anything!), while still managing to stay in character. Yes, thanks for being an awesome host cralegoboy! I managed to get some good loot out of it, and hopefully more if Hoke accepts my offer for his gem. Althior can do a lot of shopping now. Thanks, K-nut. I enjoyed hitting you over the head for using a shovel. Quote

The art of alchemy isn't very old, either, in comparison to magic. Just curious, but do certain neutral houses have closer ties than others? For instance, since Ji Pei and Shadeaux are not rivals, might they be work together to surpass their respective competitors? In short, are there alliances in the houses? Quote
Zepher Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 FIRST TO THE FOLKS IN MY QUEST - My computer is down or the moment, and so I do not have access to any of the information or pictures that I need. I will leave it up to you folks - do you want to play pictureless for a while, or do you want to wait for a few days and then hop back on to playing with pictures? Secondly - A suggeston/hope: Quests that alter the game significantly. Like master quests. I don't know exactly how they'd work or be run, but I think that, and this is of course assuming this game survives for a long time, there should be quests that really really change the face of Heroica and the surronding areas. I think that will keep the game fresh. I dunno, it would be a while before these happened and I think they'd need to be a bigger deal then a normal quest, but just looking towards the future those are something I'm hoping for! Quote

Well, I don't mind playing without pictures for a while. Worst case scenario is we keep playing, and you can't add the pictures in when the Quest is done. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Zepher, I think we'd all rather play the game now without pictures than wait for them. I hope your computer issues are fixed soon. Quote
Zepher Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 That's what I figured, but I know I'd be bothered. I just feel like I'm falling down on the picture end of things! So full steam ahead, and I'm sure it will be repaired in a day or two! Quote
