Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Just realized, it would take a level 27 enemy to just do 1 damage to me in a free hit. And that's only if I'm front row. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Don't make me drop more gold on you... Free gold! Bring it, I never targeted the gold, so it's a free hit. That cuts the damage in half right there. Then it has to get past SP: 13, and I'm back row, cutting it in half again. No one can hurt me! Quote

Most QMs now apply the rule of at least 1 Damage dealt, no matter how high SP is. It's the only reason I've taken any Damage at all on the quest I'm on. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 (edited) Level 30 gold + SP piercing passive special = dead Alexandre. Don't forget I'm a paladin. I'll be at 35 health, and I can heal my self, with 5 potions and a tonic when I run out of ether. Then my smoke bomb.... BD: That's messed up. So I just spent 350 + gold on that? Brickdoctor Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 BD: That's messed up. So I just spent 350 + gold on that? Yeah, as it turns out, there is such a thing as SP overkill. It's only 1 Damage, though. In my case, being a Back Row class to begin with, I can usually take around forty hits. Quote
Sandy Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Most QMs now apply the rule of at least 1 Damage dealt, no matter how high SP is. It's the only reason I've taken any Damage at all on the quest I'm on. Who made up that rule? I sure didn't... It makes no sense that a Level 1 enemy can damage a hero with 10 SP. In my opinion it's up to the QMs to challenge players, and vice versa. I know that if Docken even returns to my quest, I'll put him through hell. Quote

If someone on my quest funded 500+ gold into their SP, they deserve that protection. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Who made up that rule? I sure didn't... It makes no sense that a Level 1 enemy can damage a hero with 10 SP. I think WBD did, and now Zeph is using it. Considering that those are my last two QMs, I have a suspicion that there's a conspiracy that invented that rule just for me. In my opinion it's up to the QMs to challenge players, and vice versa. I know that if Docken even returns to my quest, I'll put him through hell. I have a bad feeling about this. Quote

Actually it's the other way around, Zepher implemented it in Quest 19 to keep Tensi in check and I continued the tradition when it came to you and I fully agree with Sandy in that my next quest with advanced classes is going to be a nightmare as far as battles are concerned now that I know what is possible considering the epic climax of the Dastan Trilogy.
