I really don't see a need to up the gold for upgrading shields, I think the curve that is already there added to the fact that Quest rewards have not increased terribly with level make it so that there is enough challenge to it.

Agreed. Knights have other things to buy than just shield upgrades. I think we should keep the cost of upgrading the same. :sadnew:

Or you make enemies that with a special that coaxes all heroes into the front row. :sceptic:

Although, I was against it at first, I think it makes sense to say, "Yay!"

If nothing else than to make it simple for, as Peppermint said, "lazy" QMs. :tongue:

I think it's fine to have it that way. If you want to make a serious dent in Docken's health you can add the occasional enemies with the SP bashing devices.

Or how about having an enemy that sees shields as skeleton dummies and shaves off a certain amount of SP for every damage delivered.

I guess it requires going on Doc's extensive quests to get such a reward. At the rate I'm going I won't be at Level 15 after 3 quests. :sadnew: But I guess I can blame my getting KO'ed so much in Quest #24 for that.

Time to do some Capt.JohnPaul bashing. :grin:

You might've missed it in the mass of posts from the heroes returning from Dastan, Quarryman, but Atramor offered a Scroll of Sealing and 50 gold for the Topaz. :classic:

Elemental damage has already been nerfed. It was 4x damage to susceptible enemies in Q0.

If this gets voted down, will there be more drastic measures to nerf SP? As I said earlier, I'd much rather have this implemented than something like non-upgradeable shields. But I don't think SP is broken in the first place. Docken is just a beast of a tank.

I never said yes on a shield cap, I just like the "always 1 damage" rule. :blush:
