Scorpiox Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) -snip- The new and improved Boomingham! He has also bleached his counterstrike gloves, as you can see. We heard you the first time. I'm just adding the stuff I pick up! Not my fault someone gave me that piece of clothing. and Boomingham's a bit of a... Dark Paladin? It's always nice to have dynamic characters, who actually wear their artefacts, instead of just hiding them away in their backpack. I just hope you get hold of the Trendy Handbag. Where the hell's your cloak? I'm glad the torso Atramor used for Witch already had a necklace, would've been tough to Photoshop the real one on. I'll have to use lime green gloves for his expert class picture and just mess with the colors, I don't have any blue ones. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Does the Hunter's Favored Enemy persist through Quests or not? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 That would be hilarious, seeing as they look both nearly exactly the same. Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I'm just adding the stuff I pick up! Not my fault someone gave me that piece of clothing. I know you used the face first, so that part was my fault. It's always nice to have dynamic characters, who actually wear their artefacts, instead of just hiding them away in their backpack. I just hope you get hold of the Trendy Handbag. I only do that within reason, and if the artifact makes sense with my minifig. (leading to my reforging the Scarab Shield into the Forestman's shield while I Mythrilized it) Docken, being a Forestman, would look strange with the Dread Hat on his head. Quote
Flipz Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Does the Hunter's Favored Enemy persist through Quests or not? I recall Sandy very specifically saying yes, it does. Quote

CMP Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 OoC: Alright, who made a horse an artefact?! That defies all logic and reason. You can blame me for listing it as an artifact, but what else is it supposed to be? I'm pretty sure there's a human broomstick being used as a weapon, a horse as an artifact isn't that bad. Quote

Maybe it's an inflatable horse, or it is actually an Amulet of Summon Greater Horse, or the Horse is Shrinkable? Quote
Sandy Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 I'm pretty sure there's a human broomstick being used as a weapon, a horse as an artifact isn't that bad. Ahem, a skeleton broomstick. Why can't horse be just a horse? How can one even equip it?! Or carry it around in dungeons and such places? I can understand the Cat and Dog Statuettes - the Dark Elf Drizzt Do'Urden kept his pet panther conveniently in a statue, as well - but living animals as an artefact is stretching it too far. Fabian will adamantly refuse to buy it, anyway. Quote
JimBee Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Nice, Zepher, I was wondering when you'd get a new picture. I had actually been playing around with some parts to make Boomingham as well. I used two scabbard pieces on the same side, with a light pearl grey and a dark pearl grey longsword from the LotR sets. Like you described a few times, he wears them both on the same side, one above another. It's always nice to have dynamic characters, who actually wear their artefacts, instead of just hiding them away in their backpack. I just hope you get hold of the Trendy Handbag. I'm guilty of this. I never played it in-character, but Hybros just carries his helmet (when equipped). Realistically it would be too big for his head and it wouldn't really wear one to begin with. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 How can one even equip it?! You don't want to know... Quote
Tanma Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I never bothered to mention it IC, but that was my origin for why De'kra now has a hood and cape. It's the Cloak of the Blue Assassin, only dyed. (I don't have blue cloaks) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Why can't horse be just a horse? How can one even equip it?! Or carry it around in dungeons and such places? It's equipped when you mount it, and unequipped when you get off of it so you can walk through doors. It doesn't have to be an artifact, but it's not a weapon or a shield, so... Quote

Or does Scuba's idea of a Summoning Amulet work? Similar enough to a statue, and it makes most sense as an artifact, even if it's not as a completely normal living creature. Quote

Scorpiox Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 It's equipped when you mount it, and unequipped when you get off of it so you can walk through doors. But obviously, K-Nut is far too cool to bother with trivial things such as dismounting to go through doors. Quote

If a player with a horse goes on a Quest with me, I'm letting you know now, the Horse dies. You don't want to know how many ways I have thought up to make that happen... Quote
CMP Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I was joking... But it makes sense, and the only thing that would change is the look of it. It would still be an accessory artifact with the same stats. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 But obviously, K-Nut is far too cool to bother with trivial things such as dismounting to go through doors. You know me too well. Lycan tosses his 10 gold and throwing dagger to Loreal, and in return grabs the Animal Cowl. Umm, did Adam ever actually agree to that? Quote

It works the same as an artifact in all normal circumstances, so why not? Besides the fact that carrying a horse around with you is unrealistic... Sandy, are you rolling for Jess' assassination for every enemy she hits (with the whip), or only the one she targets? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I wouldn't mind the amulet thing, but I would make it an accessory artifact that grants the Horse's movement and attack bonuses by itself, not an amulet that summons a Horse. Quote
