Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I think a 50 gold convenience fee would be reasonable, considering the extra cost to merge it, so 125? If I order more than one, can I get a discount?Flipz, do you want a Scroll of Armor Sundering? Or one of those other scrolls? So If Docken bought the scroll next time he saw you, he would also owe 125 gold. But I already have 450 Gold... Quote

swils Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Heh, I can only afford to purchase so many at the current time. Quote

swils Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Can any of you other heroes on Q35 offer me a better deal? I dare any of you to undercut me. Just see if Thormanil feels like healing you anymore Quote
Flipz Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I was looking through the Marketplace comparing prices for various stats, and I noticed, who would ever buy the Viking Helmet when the Peasant's Hood provides the exact same effect in the exact same artifact category for 10 Gold less? (and I realize that that was an artifact that got bought from a hero - why'd Fabian make such a decision?) I thought that helmet granted +1 max HEALTH, not SP:1... If I order more than one, can I get a discount? Flipz, do you want a Scroll of Armor Sundering? Or one of those other scrolls? But I already have 450 Gold... Poisoning and Shielding are the two that come to mind, though the one I REALLY wanted was the Scroll of Ice Armor (remember when Arthur did that in Quest 17 to protect himself from the manure in the stables? ). I'd be willing to work out a deal for any of these, the Scroll of Poisoning in particular. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I thought that helmet granted +1 max HEALTH, not SP:1... That's what the Peasant's Hood does. The Leather Cap is SP +1. Quote
Endgame Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 That's what the Peasant's Hood does. The Leather Cap is SP +1. Viking helmet is indeed +1 HP. I know, I hosted for the guy who wore it! Quote

Darkdragon Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Huzzah! The magic carpet ride will be fun, trust me. Sounds like a really fun quest. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Sounds like a really fun quest. No, when the QM says that something "will be fun, trust me", there should be warning bells going off in every section of your brain. Quote
Endgame Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 No, when the QM says that something "will be fun, trust me", there should be warning bells going off in every section of your brain. The magic carpet is really just a way for me to justify a typical "cat-and-mouse" question session. I would have a firebreathing vulture attacking you, but I decided against it. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 ...As he pulls out a syringe the size of an elephant. Our characters have to deal with that all that time; a LEGO syringe is the size of an arm. Quote
Chromeknight Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Our characters have to deal with that all that time; a LEGO syringe is the size of an arm. But they have convienent holes in the back of their legs for it to go into. Quote
JimBee Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 But that's not the way you worded it. Hybros, you friggin' kill everything as it is. A hastened assassin is a deadly assassin. Too bad. You're lucky you took away my nostrums. I think Xander is the first one to sell a unique weapon to Anwyl. Now the Double-Side Ax is lost forever! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I think Xander is the first one to sell a unique weapon to Anwyl. Now the Double-Side Ax is lost forever! I'm surprised that no one wanted it. There's really nothing bad about its effects; it'd just take some Gold to bring it up to a WP worth using for a primary weapon. Quote

Well, the barbarian advanced class rolls of 4. are usually a lot more effective than a Miss, or even Aim. The Precision Bow, on the other hand, turns those into hits, which are almost always better. Also, Xander went Hunter, he's going to have Aim anyway. Why not use it with a ranged weapon? Quote

posades Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Yeah, I worked out the numbers and either the axe or the club had to go in order for everything to work out; I would have liked to sell it to someone but there didn't seem to be any interest. It didn't make sense for me to keep it since as a hunter I can't miss. Quote

It's not a big deal, though, the item was yours to do whatever with. Flare, I think the weakened effect lasts for three rounds, not turns. Quote

It's not a big deal, though, the item was yours to do whatever with. Hopefully the selling of unique weapons will encourage QMs to reuse previous unique weapons. It will be a huge hassle if everyone keeps making up new items. I would much prefer that two people ran around with the same unique weapon, as opposed to having to remember double the unique weapons.
