CMP Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Mizuki goes to Fabian and says "Would you like to buy this witch's talisman for 300 gold?" I'm pretty sure Sandy mentioned you weren't able to do that. Hopefully the selling of unique weapons will encourage QMs to reuse previous unique weapons. It will be a huge hassle if everyone keeps making up new items. I would much prefer that two people ran around with the same unique weapon, as opposed to having to remember double the unique weapons. Right, but I don't think the same item should become too widely available or reused too often. Incarnations of the item in other forms (for example, a Glass Greatsword or a Wand of Decay) could be really interesting, though. Quote
Tachyon Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I'm pretty sure Sandy mentioned you weren't able to do that. But I thought the witch's talisman was an artefect so shouldn't I be able to ask for 300 gold ? I thought that was how you haggle with Fabian......... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 But I thought the witch's talisman was an artefect so shouldn't I be able to ask for 300 gold ? I thought that was how you haggle with Fabian......... Not if he's already selling the artifact. Then you have to sell it back for half price: in this case, 200 Gold. Didn't you just buy that from Fabian? Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I think Xander is the first one to sell a unique weapon to Anwyl. Now the Double-Side Ax is lost forever! Nah, I also sold my unique frying pan. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Hands-down, best Quest banner yet. You should see how awesome his secret drawings are, no wait, I shouldn't have said that. Quote
swils Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Argh, of course I finally get female and Lycanthropic figures of Thormanil made and then can't find my camera! Too many boxes to unpack, wonder where I hid it.. In other news, I remembered that my friend actually owns the big castle set, so I can probably even borrow his golden armor to take an equipment-accurate picture of Thormanil, too! Just need him to get back to campus, heh. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Sorrow (the undead) and Lycan (the werewolf) on yet another quest? Conspiracy! Well at least it's Sorrow and not the vampire...oh, wait Sorrow is an undead vampire. He has to be. I think a 50 gold convenience fee would be reasonable, considering the extra cost to merge it, so 125? I'll consider counter-offers from QM's who don't want to have to make up extra ways of getting around SP though There's no way Docken can win, all the QMs will pool there money together in order to beat whatever he can possibly offer, especially since he's going against JimButcher, but then again Boomingham may help to balance it out because of all his debts. But they have convienent holes in the back of their legs for it to go into. Four of them too! I'll take the Telescope and Dancing Shoes, for now." Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Hey, Guts is now able to dance, who knows when that might get in handy, ey? Quote
Palathadric Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Hey, Guts is now able to dance, who knows when that might get in handy, ey? Who knows what Guffington will make happen in his dream. He's totally setting you up and you're walking right into the trap! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Who knows what Guffington will make happen in his dream. He's totally setting you up and you're walking right into the trap! Thats the best way to deal with traps though isn't it: Let them think you've walked right into them. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Swils did you say Lycanthropic Thormanil? Surely the werewol bond could reduce my debt? Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Swils, did you say Lycanthropic Thormanil? Surely the werewolf bond could reduce my debt? I think that he means the Trickster's Mask of the Werewolf, when worn by Thormanil. Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Yeah that banner is pretty sweet. Nice work Khrone. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I think that he means the Trickster's Mask of the Werewolf, when worn by Thormanil. Unless Sandy has a plan for the werewolf race, can I do the embassy description? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) Unless Sandy has a plan for the werewolf race, can I do the embassy description? ... maybe you should read through Quest 33. And "werewolves" aren't a race, lycanthropy is a disease, or power. Edited August 20, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote
posades Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 That's understandable but you could have put up a notice, trying to sell it...? It's not a big deal, though, the item was yours to do whatever with. Flare, I think the weakened effect lasts for three rounds, not turns. I did, no one PM'ed me about it though. And Endgame/CMP forced my hand... Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Hands-down, best Quest banner yet. :wub_drool: I agree! Quote
Palathadric Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Is it just me or is Alexandre's head crooked. It doesn't seem to sit properly on his neck. Also, put the cape back on him. He looks naked without it! Quote

He looks naked without it! He has his cape. Yes, my head wasn't pressed down enough. I won't fix it until later. I'm too lazy. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 He has his cape. He has his cape? You could have fooled me. Oh, wait, you did. Maybe you should take the picture at a bit more of an angle. He likes kind of scrawny as is, but that could just be the head thing. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 ... maybe you should read through Quest 33. And "werewolves" aren't a race, lycanthropy is a disease, or power. Still, Sandy will be writing the descriptions for the core races, including Were-creatures. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 ... maybe you should read through Quest 33. And "werewolves" aren't a race, lycanthropy is a disease, or power. Technically, both of my quests have featured were-wolves as well as were-hounds, though I'm considering them being a sub-speices from which the lycanthropy disease began. They will probably refer to themselves as pure-bloods as compared to the current Wolf-gang members which apparently can shift from one form to the other. Quote

I figured those were just like Scaro from Quest 14, not able to change into human, so not really "were" anything . Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I figured those were just like Scaro from Quest 14, not able to change into human, so not really "were" anything . Exactly, up until that point no one had done a full "were-" i.e. changing anything so I utilized the prefix "were" to refer to any beast/humanoid individual. Also I believe there was a were-panther mentioned in that same quest as Scaro, is he a "were-" as in a changing individual or just an anthropamorphic panther? Quote
