CMP Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 With the current amount of Gold, Guts could upgrade his dagger eleven points to WP: 25 and still have over a hundred Gold left to buy more Nostrums. Imagine if he had Sticky Gloves. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Imagine if he had Sticky Gloves. I prefer not to think of that. Quote
JimBee Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 He would've gained over 1200 gold that round with Sticky Gloves. Quote

Zepher Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I clearly think it's a little OP, but every time I suggest a change to the game, I start a verbal brawl, so Guts will now simply be the far and away strongest hero. Quote
CMP Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Very rarely are there that many enemies, I don't think it'll happen too often. Until the Second Battle of Dastan, maybe. Quote

I disagree about the part about verbal brawls. We discuss things for the benefit of the game. Now, I don't think it's too OP because it really depends on how many enemies are in the battle. Eric gained about a quarter of what Guts did in four times the amount of time, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Scuba just happened to pick the right time to use the consumable strategy... Zepher Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I think our discussions aren't important! We've made tons of important and great improvements because those discussions. I just figured I'd let the results do the talking instead of bringing it up, this time around. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 *makes a note to ban Raiders from said Quest-in-planning* Are you really working on a quest in Dastan? Quote
Flipz Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Are you really working on a quest in Dastan? No, I meant that mechanically, I have a battle that's, in essence, a mini-Dastan battle (one I've had up my sleeve since before the Dastan Trilogy was even announced, mind). If I were writing a Quest set in Dastan, I'd have PM'd you, Zeph, and JimB, and would have asked if any of you would have been willing to joint-QM a (single) Quest to teach me the ropes of QM-ing. ... Hmm...even without the Quest being set in Dastan, that's actually not a bad QM-ing idea... *opens Personal Messenger, begins group PM* Quote

Sandy Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 There are four kinds of loves, he said, just like there are four elements. There are actually nine elements in this game, so start making up a love that's like ice, a love that's like wood etc. On a side note, what's up with you putting color, font and size tags on every single sentence? Guts v. People P - Critical Hit Shield (K-V&X: 66) (W: 47) (X: 13) (852 gold) That does it! I'm nerfing the Raider's shield-skill "Ravage" so that the Raider only gains gold equal to the level of the enemies. Otherwise it will work like it used to. I've got to stop this before the whole economy of Eubric collapses... And no, this is not negotiable. Quote

Well, always time to fall back to Rogue... Quote
Sandy Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 That's too bad. You can't seriously think that gaining almost 1000 gold in one hit is fair in any shape or form? Raider still has more damage dealing potential than Rogue, and it has 2/6 chances of gaining gold versus the Rogue's 1/6. Cryov Flamdmir (Cryos) 26 year old Male Human Wizard Level 1 Power: 4 (Level 1 + WP:3) Health: 5/5 (Basic Health: 5) Ether: 5/5 (Basic Ether: 5) Gold: 10 Equipment: Ice half staff (WP:3) Inventory: Opal Gem Welcome to the game, Cryos! Don't forget to introduce your character at the Heroica Hall -topic. You are also missing a Potion from your inventory. Everyone starts with one. :wink. I can help you with the character avatar, by the way. I can build your character with real LEGO and snap a photo of it for you. Quote
swils Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Urgh, knew I shoulda stuck with Raider in the first place. WTB QM who will pit us against a Lv990 BigBadBoss! Quote

For those that are interested, some of what I said is drawn from a book The four loves by C.S.Lewis (yes, of Narnia fame). So I did very little making up. I'm not sure I want to expand on a wooden love... As for the tags, is it every post or just that one? If its just that one, it's because I began writing it on my iphone (safari, RTE disabled) and finished it on my PC (Chrome, RTE on). If its every post then... dunno. Quote
