JimBee Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Thanks RS, but Sandy took the picture for me! I also found Thothwick's class choice interesting. I am curious to see if he will break the stereotype (as he already is with his chivalrous personality), or if he will become corrupt. Quote
Quarryman Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 There won't even be any Direwolf Pups this time around. You really got to work to earn that GP! Yes, I really should have sealed that Direwolf so we could have avoided this mess. (and realized earlier that we could use Benji's counterstrike gloves to take out enemies. Oh well.) Quote

(and realized earlier that we could use Benji's counterstrike gloves to take out enemies. Oh well.) This is why CMP and I would be so dangerous in the Unlimited Quest; we'd nitpick the things to death via obscure combinations of various weapons and abilities. Hmm...Pie, maybe we should petition for a four-person party, then we could take Docken as well as Cronk, for added evil Munchkin-ing. Also, JimB, I recently read the Zelda Wiki article on the Legend of Zelda Rito. If the Heroica Rito have a similar coming-of-age ritual (earning their wings by taking a sacred object to a dragon), I see no reason why the Rito could not offer their own Expert Class, though it would make sense that the Hero in question would have to gain Good reputation with both the Rito (for the sacred feather) and the Dragons (for the ritual) in order to be granted wings and the power of flight. Just a suggestion, I know I'd love to see Nerwen continue her relationship with Denarii and the Rito. Quote

Hmm...Cronk (healer, tank), Hybros (instant-killer), Arthur (scroll support), Atramor (poisoner), Tesni (offense), and Docken (ranged tank)... (and the Unlimited Quest allows parties of up to six heroes, I believe) Quote

(and the Unlimited Quest allows parties of up to six heroes, I believe) And let's not forget, Arthur will soon have a Scroll of Poisoning and already has a Healing Staff, so Atramor and I can trade off on healing and poisoning as needed... It's also interesting that three of the above are on Quest 38...we'll see how well they work together battle-wise once Zeph gets settled into college (should take two to three weeks). Quote

But Atramor can deal Badly Poisoned; you can't without Deadly Venom. Also, we'll probably need his badass lock-picking skills. Quote
CMP Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) Cronk (healer, tank), Hybros (instant-killer), Arthur (scroll support), Atramor (poisoner), Tesni (offense), and Docken (ranged tank)... (and the Unlimited Quest allows parties of up to six heroes, I believe) That would be a fantastic grouping. Perhaps Hybros would be kind enough to lend the Banana Bladerang for the Sword of Ancestral Hatred. (Instant poisoning to everyone in battle + massive WP upgrades through assassination.) Just a suggestion, I know I'd love to see Nerwen continue her relationship with Denarii and the Rito. We're working on it. The Rito are only loosely based on the ones from LoZ, but thanks for the suggestion. Would make a lot of sense with there being dragons in Dastan... Hmm... Cronk (healer, tank), Hybros (instant-killer), Arthur (scroll support), Atramor (poisoner), Tesni (offense), and Docken (ranged tank)... (and the Unlimited Quest allows parties of up to six heroes, I believe) I would be interested in such a party. Although Tesni is just an all around tank. She has some of the best SP artifacts and is generally one of the most powerful characters. Cronk can heal, too. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 That would be a fantastic grouping. Perhaps Hybros would be kind enough to lend the Banana Bladerang for the Sword of Ancestral Hatred. (Instant poisoning to everyone in battle + massive WP upgrades.) That was one of the reasons that the sword started with such a low WP. The fear was that it'd fall into the hands of someone like Hybros, and then it would be a simple case of "Assassination+AoE Shield+Nostrums+Sword of Ancestral Hatred = MegaBlokin'-high WP" Quote

Zepher Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I'm sorry all my dear questies, but things are still a little crazy!! HOWEVER, I will update within the next six hours. Quote

Just a suggestion, I know I'd love to see Nerwen continue her relationship with Denarii and the Rito. That could work, although the Rito in LoZ: WW are a singular species, and from what we gathered in Dastan the Rito and dragons might not be the best of allies. Oh I just love them so much, except Ruto. Yes I know she was a Zora, but as the Zora evolved into the Rito she counts. Still Medli alone makes up for her, why can't more people carry their own weight? Link can't save everyone you know, unless he is played by a completionist. Sorry, went off topic a little bit. Quote
Flipz Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 But Atramor can deal Badly Poisoned; you can't without Deadly Venom. Also, we'll probably need his badass lock-picking skills. Scroll of Poisoning is Deadly Poisoned (which is why I think its Ether cost should be higher, but that's besides the point). Atramor has Hex and Special Mirror, though, so we definitely need him either way. Quote
Tanma Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 ...Anyone else getting worried that 14 heroes are allowed to go on the same quest? What are we facing... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Scroll of Poisoning is Deadly Poisoned (which is why I think its Ether cost should be higher, but that's besides the point). Oh, I didn't know that. ...Anyone else getting worried that 14 heroes are allowed to go on the same quest? What are we facing... With that number of actions, you don't need to face anything special; the battles are going to take a long time as-is. Quote
Sandy Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 ...Anyone else getting worried that 14 heroes are allowed to go on the same quest? What are we facing... I have high doubts that all those fourteen will be active... There will be a 48 hour "confirmation period" at the start of the quest. Anyone who doesn't show up during that time will be out. Quote

That party sounds great BD, we should go and fight a monster and get us some titles in game. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) Thank you Khorne for this RP, which if I'm right about the job, it would involve me failing another quest while the others succeed. My QMs have always been so nice to me for RP. Edited August 27, 2012 by TheBoyWonder Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Endgame, when is the battle being run? Sorry if you're just busy. Quote
Endgame Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Endgame, when is the battle being run? Sorry if you're just busy. No, I was ust being an idiot. I didn't see your action. Quote
Tanma Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Just to let you know, collage has started back up for me, so I will not be quite as active. It shouldn't affect much, as my obsessiveness should keep me posting regardless, but I felt like it should be mentioned, in case events go out of my control. They shouldn't though. On regards to Quest 44, the fact that we have a 48 hour sign up period only makes me more frightened. Of course the award should have tip me off from the start that this would be unusual. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Vikings Minotaurs and Vampires. My three most hated things, all in one quest. Whadidya say? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Whadidya say? I forgot you Vikings are vampire huggers. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I forgot you Vikings are vampire huggers. I suppose Khorne and I have made that clear by now, and thus it all fits together... Quote
