Kadabra Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I was reading Taming the Lions, and I was thinking: Maybe for an option, a new player can choose to be a Warrior like Seanian, where you don't have any special skills or abilities (No Shield Skill in battle, no job trait outside of battle), but then when you reach Level 15, you can be any of the Advanced Classes and switch both classes when you're between Quests. (You said that characters could switch secondary job classes, right?) Then you could choose to have a harder time than most other players in order to reap a greater reward in the future. Quote

Thanks for the suggestion, it's an interesting idea. But no. Let's just stick to the basic classes we've got, okay? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 The "love triangle" thing is part of the roleplaying. Tarn really isn't a "playa", you know, or he'd be with Ellaria already Also Tesni will be putting paid to all this soon enough, have you read her advice on romance to Jess? A rite of combat is a Hightribe tradition I think Tarn will need a cleric after that. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) Hate to mini-mod and be a picky butt, but there is a lot of OOC remarks in the Heroica Hall thread. If I am in the wrong, then I apologize. Edited October 13, 2011 by UsernameMDM Quote
Kadabra Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Um.. Sorry to be a nitpicker, but I'm pretty sure you need to add more to your signature, Darthnihilius. You need to show how much Gold you have (right now it should be 10), how much HP you currently have and your maximum HP (Should be 7/7 right now), and your Power (Your equipped weapon power + your level.) In addition, when starting the game all players have a Potion, which you didn't list in your inventory, and your weapon should only have a WP of 3, not 4. (Your total Power should be 4 - WP3 + Level 1.) Quote

I know I am doing a lot of it because I have a new character and explanations and all that. I'm sure everyone else has an explanation too. Quote
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 The Quest 7 heroes are on a roll, though I worry about the ditched Hybros. He was the first person to talk to De'kra here after all. I wonder if Hybros is a bargining chip in case the group escapes. Quote
Zepher Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Christopher Daggerfall and Thothwick are also in people's clutches somewhere! And yes, they're on a roll, but that's not the trouble of my quest. The trouble of my quest is no sleep and no Cleric... so while one battle may be easy . Quote

True, I must say I am lucky my obsession with losing gear prevented De'kra from joining your quest, he would be dead in the first fight. And as the Quest 4 people are learning, death isn't kind to De'kra's brain. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I was sort of hoping we'd run into the others in a cell eventually. I feel bad for Hybros, too. He never got the chance to fight at all this quest. Quote

Jebediahs Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 What's the estimated time of completion for Quest #8 Sacred Sands? It's part 1 so does that mean it's ending with a "to be continued..." soon? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 What's the estimated time of completion for Quest #8 Sacred Sands? It's part 1 so does that mean it's ending with a "to be continued..." soon? Just a way to show that if possible, another Sacred Sands quest may or may not be hosted. It leaves a Quest Master with a story that he can use without coming up with a whole new idea. So if I get hooked on hosting, it could possibly leave a sequel, and make a whole entire story. Estimated time- I don't know, maybe a 2 weeks more. Quote
JimBee Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I'm really sorry, Jimbee. Don't sweat it, I'm just joking around. Any "anger" from Hybros will be for character development purposes. Quote
Zepher Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I really want to see a hopping mad Hybros! By the way, I think I'll be putting in all the pretty pictures we were missing within the next 24 hours, so be on the look out to find out what all these guards you've been fighting look like! (Not really exciting, but it will make me feel better about the lack so far!) Quote

If I am in the wrong, then I apologize. I've noticed that too. People, if you want to say something out-of-character, please use this topic! Especially if you don't have anything to say in-character (I'm looking at you, Bricksandparts). OOC: I have not read all the posts yet, so I'm not caught up. I need to say I'll be gone until saturday or sunday. I truly hope I will be chosen for one of the quests, I have signed up for all but the first three and nine. It's okay if you don't choose me for the quest, but I would dearly appreciate being chosen because I have been want to quest and become a quest master. until further notice, I'll see you all saturday or sunday. Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Brickdoctor, How long is the quest got left now? As far as the things the heroes can do, it's just under half complete, but the things you're probably going to end up doing will probably take a longer time, so I'd say at least two more weeks. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Sorry for slowing down the plot. You're not slowing down the plot. I said that the things you do will take longer because you still have a lot of ground to cover if you want to know enough to complete the quest. Quote

Okay, by the way; De'kra's memories of Uland haven't returned yet. The reason he seems calm is that he knows that he has no chance against Cinna, or at least what he thinks Cinna is. So he might as well act calm until he finds out what they want. He still has no clue as to what you are saying though. Quote
