Flipz Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Please remind me why the heck that, given the Orc Spirit's Special, there are still two players wearing Elf masks and why Arasmyth took his off?!? You guys ARE aware that Petrified is effectively an instant KO that's slightly easier to cure? Quote
Kadabra Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Ummm... I think this is the first gangster portrayal of an elf we've seen thus far. Arasmyth is a trendsetter. We'll have elves smoking marajuana by the time I'm done with them. Quote

You guys ARE aware that Petrified is effectively an instant KO that's slightly easier to cure? I think Kadabra's doing it to roleplay, sacrificing the advantage in game mechanics to develop his character. It's your fault; you're the one who started an entire topic to encourage players to do things like that. Quote

So either way Echo does more damage to me, because Gender Swap doesn't change race. I had Knifk remove the dwarf mask because my brother is away from the Internet for his job, which he didn't foresee, so I posted his action for him. The mask did him more harm than good be ause now hat he's an Orc he avoids damage from the Orc Spirits. Quote

That still doesn't explain why none of the others have removed their elf masks, though. EDIT: Besides, I have a perfectly logical (for a fantasy world) explanation to it. But saying it out loud would spoil Ellaria's story arch, so I won't say anything more. Elpis has a rare but tragically uncurable case of SORAS? Sorry, had to be done. Also, it has come to my attention that Finnegan is, philosophically speaking, the main character of Heroica RPG. (c.f. George Berkeley; also Jostein Gaarder, Sophie's World). That is all. Siercon and Coral Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Scroll of Sleep (In the lottery) vs. Description at the beginning of this thread: "The target is forced to miss it's turn until woken up by a target or a roll of 1, 2, 3, 4 or is remedied or the battle is over" I've been trying to figure this out, and am having difficulty seeing how these don't disagree. Can someone help me? Also I was just told that my lullaby wand needed to be used as a physical attack as opposed to passively attributing a sleep spell when I cast a spell through it. Just to double check, is this true? Thanks so much! Quote

Just to double check, is this true? Thanks so much! It's slightly different in there is no dice rolled to wake up a monster as in the case of a hero. Only waiting three rounds or successfully attacking it will wake it up. Also, yes, in order for you to put someone to sleep using the lullaby wand, you need to physically attack with it. Brickdoctor Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 That makes two Sandy quests, now, in which the heroes have decided to sit out the rest of a battle and do nothing. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 And this is only battle 1, 46ers! That's it, you'll be trampled by armored knights on armored horses with armored ether cores with armored elite croise's with SP:5 and level 20. Quote

Endgame Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Yes. Wait what? Y'know, elite ether cores. The ones who graduated from Ether Core academy? The ones who passed Ether Core sparring camp? Quote
Palathadric Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Also, I'd really like suggestions from folks as to whether to split my Staff of the Cultist Battlemage into an artifact and a staff or not, and, if I split it, what KIND of artifact it should be. Split it and make the artifact pants/legware. Arthur of the Speedy Pants. Quote
Flipz Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Taking my computer to the shop--may be without one for several days. Will advise later if possible. --Flipz Quote
Pandora Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I'm sorry guys but I have a major issue, nothing serious, but most of my pictures I have taken for this quest are gone, so I am having to rebuild everything and retake pictures, add to the fact I can only build on afternoon's after work, things might get slow. I will do my very best to make sure there is enough updates and content, but please bear with me. (Posted here to avoid too much OoC in the Quest thread.) That sounds like an awful thing to have happened, and of course we understand. As a side note, Ru and I will be away for about 24 hours (or maybe just over) from tomorrow morning. We should be able to check in and post at least once, though. Quote
Sandy Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 The expert and master job classes have now been posted to the Training Room -topic (with the exception of the expert classes created by others, but I will get them up in a few days). Go check them out, and feel free to sink into dreams of playing your hero as one of them! With this, I want to thank everyone for participating in the first anniversary celebrations! August is over, and so are the festivities. But there are still loads of more to come in this game. Now let's all head towards that second anniversary. We can do it! Oh, and Scuba, I feel for you! I would've gotten a nervous breakdown in your place. Quote

If you give me 20 objectsssssssssss in your posssessssion, that will be worth the Barbarian'ssssss life." Someone needs to keep a tally on how many items Zeph has taken away from his heroes or prevented his heroes from having access to. Quote

Palathadric Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Siercon vs. Werewolf Runt - Critical Hit (WP:8 x 2 + level 4) = 20 Damage done + Sleep) >Zark vs. Werewolf Runt - Hit (WP: 5 + level 2) = 7 Damage done/2 = 4) Maybe I understood the sleep effect wrong, but shouldn't Zark's attack wake the werewolf up? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Maybe I understood the sleep effect wrong, but shouldn't Zark's attack wake the werewolf up? Not quite, As Siercon changed the battle order to the other way around after I suggested it. Quote
CMP Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 For the Necromancer class, how exactly does Undead Sacrifice work? Do you just state 'I sacrifice Undead Rat to heal (hero)' instead of attacking or reviving, or does it not take a turn? Quote
