Flipz Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Atramor's much less of a jackass than I had initially made him out to be. I told you it could be worse. He only picked up his accent during Quest 18-23, then I realized I pretty much ripping off Skrall's and toned it down. McCafferey's not-quite-chickeness was made up just so she could spite Finnegan. Some of the changes I've made I'm happy about, some less so, but he's defined a lot more than I ever intended. His past, though, hasn't changed much, I've thought about some particulars but overall I haven't messed with or delved into it much. Particulars like Historica? I can relate to the accent thing, I went through it with Knyghton. At first, I wanted to give him a thick Scottish accent, but then I realized he'd sound like a dwarf and he obiously wasn't. So I toned it down, but then he came off similar to Skrall. Ultimately, I just picked a couple of key "substitutions" and stuck with them, and it ended up creating a pretty cohesive "accent". Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Docken's pretty much stayed the same. Probably due to the fact that I almost never roleplay at all. Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Actually, while we're on the subject, what things have you changed about your character's past or personality since you first joined? A lot, just read the progression of Haldor's story throughout my time here. The spirit in the gem never existed until Quest #12, nor did much of his past. Thoric was pretty much invented for Haldor, but now he is a fully accepted member of the Norse pantheon, albeit with some little changes. The stuff with Jess, I just sort of made it up as I went along. The more astute of you will notice a progression in the way that Haldor speaks, over the years, his personality is also vastly different; but I attributed that to his advancement and realisation that he was favoured by a God. Tanma Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Actually, while we're on the subject, what things have you changed about your character's past or personality since you first joined? . Well originally I had hoped to have my character be a bat, but that didn't fly as you know. (Boooo) However since I conceived De'kra, he has been practically unchanged. I had his back story planned from day one, and the details I have changed were mostly aesthetics, like the entity like De'kra having eight eyes. I had not necessarily planned for De'kra to hear the voices, but they were involved from the start. So pretty much everything was planned, except for character development like the ending of Quest 4, or his refusal to use bombs since Dastan. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 A few little tweaks here and there to Tesni's story. The sort of natural progression from unsure to sure about yourself sort of things. Quote
Endgame Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Sorry 46ers, give me an hour or two. I'm using my 3DS to write this - the computer is currently taken. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 She may not look like much, but she is faster than she looks Sounds like she's got it where it counts. Probably still has a few surprises left in her. If the Q40 heroes are having trouble, it might help if they got out and pushed. Quote

Palathadric Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) Scum or dumb. >>> Capt.JohnPaul, you should know. It's scum and dumb! Sandy may have just signed his own death warrant. All the heroes besides Erik have affirmed their participation in Quest #44. Just imagining every battle, if you will indeed have battles, being like the crowning creation of Dastan. Yikes! Also, I'd like to see the balance of enemies, unless all the heroes will split up into teams, as there are Level 20+ heroes and also Level 1 heroes. It should be epic. I love this MOC! Yeah, I am starting to worry that this might be the "disk one" finale for Heroica, in part because of the timing. This is the anniversary of Heroica, and we are going on a Quest with an 100 percent acceptance rate. It just seems like this is going to be an important plot point for the Central Quests. Maybe I am misinterprating this though. By the way, great set indeed. Quote
Flipz Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Holy hell, Sandy, where'd you get all of those 1x2 brick-bricks?!?! Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Looks like I am not the only one wondering how Sandy is going to balance quest 44 Sounds like she's got it where it counts. Scorpiox Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Capt.JohnPaul, you should know. It's scum and dumb! Nah, it was originally 'Scum or dumb, scum or dumb...' as coined by def in Gotham City, I should know, my team was on the recieving end. Your roleplay session was pretty cool, Flipz! Quote
Flipz Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Your roleplay session was pretty cool, Flipz! Thanks! I have another one photographed now, I just have to wait for a good opportunity to put it in. Though with Wren (possibly) here, it'll be doubly awesome since now I get to use my faorite Pirates of the Caribbean quote! Quote
Endgame Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Perhaps I'm daft, but is this current Choas Beast battle for Arthur's narrative? Or did Zepher's quest agenda just coincide well with your own? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Perhaps I'm daft, but is this current Choas Beast battle for Arthur's narrative? Or did Zepher's quest agenda just coincide well with your own? I was thinking the same thing. Quote
Zepher Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 All pictures for my quest were taken before I left for college. So Flipz just got lucky. It's unfortunate, because I do love to do little side-quests/adventures for my heroes, but I can't without being home. I also remembered I still have yet to post the side-quest where they fought Brunt. I will do that at some point. Promise. Quote
Tanma Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Your roleplay session was pretty cool, Flipz! Agreed, you are quite skilled at moments like this. I'm glad De'kra got to share one earlier. Interesting that Arthur wanted to learn knowledge to forget, while the thirst for knowledge De'kra has was to remember. Quote
Zepher Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Fred Fred, its funny to see you respect the Guards. You haven't been around to grow to dislike them, which really fits for your character. He doesn't know, yet, that for the most part the guards deserve no respect. I'm curious, have you read the quests that you ended up missing? Quote

As Zeph said, the latter, though I purposely sent it through him so that he could tweak it to fit with the Quest. I just got lucky that a Chaos Beast was the next planned battle. Agreed, you are quite skilled at moments like this. I'm glad De'kra got to share one earlier. Interesting that Arthur wanted to learn knowledge to forget, while the thirst for knowledge De'kra has was to remember. It was tons of fun getting to include De'kra! My photography is getting better oer time, too; these last photos turned out a bit too dark (though it works for this sequence), but my next set looks a LOT better. Quote
CMP Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Docken and Daggerfall should go on a Town Watch quest together. Might help restore Heroica's reputation with the Watch. Quests 6, 23, 33, and probably 40 all say otherwise. Agreed with...just about everyone, that was some pretty cool backstory, Flipz. Quote

Zepher Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I'm suddenly of the opinion that we should be allowed to wear more than two artifacts. Quote
