Endgame Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 My lack of being in a quest disturbs me... Worry not, they always pop up from time to time. Quote
Tanma Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 My lack of being in a quest disturbs me... I sense...a disturbance. As if a billion monkeys cried all out at once, and then were silenced. ...I might have misquoted. But yeah waiting for a quest can be boring, especially since few heroes are left in the hall. I suggest visiting the library and market place, at least that will pass the time a little. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 My lack of being in a quest disturbs me... It takes a little patience. Most of the quest generally have a closing date for sign-ups and then start fairly quickly. You've just jumped in when most of the active players are currently on a quest. Believe me we've had time when the hall was bursting with PC's waiting to be picked and other times when it was a bit slow. However the slow times are when players actually show their commitment to the game and are more often picked in the long run. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I have an urge to type Jon staggers drunkenly across the street singing bawdy songs before finally falling into a puddle, unconscious and mumbling curses. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Believe me we've had time when the hall was bursting with PC's waiting to be picked When Heroica first started, for example. That was some wild roleplaying. Quote

Hey, you'd be surprised how many unruly and drunk PC's we've had in the past. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Hey, you'd be surprised how many unruly and drunk PC's we've had in the past. One word sums that up. Bacari. Quote
Endgame Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 One word sums that up. Bacari. I was thinking Drake. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Well I must say, this seems to be the best, most thought out, fun, badass and downright awesome community/rpg that i have had the luck to come across. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 When Heroica first started, for example. That was some wild roleplaying. Shuriken throwing crusaders. Those were the days. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) I was thinking Drake. Drake was not the master, more like the sorcerers apprentice. You have never seen chaos unless you have been in the hall with Bacari, Luc and the shuriken throwing crusader. EDIT:Beaten to it. Edited September 2, 2012 by TheBoyWonder Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Crazy Ranger Elgar tries to eat a whole cow; Crazy Ranger Bacari jumps off of a chandelier and fires a poisoned arrow into that cow; and Crazy Ranger Docken flips over a table providing 1d20 of protection! I forgot, which is the hero that tried to get everyone in Heroica Hall to attack a procession of orcs in a forest before Q1 began? Shuriken throwing crusaders. Those were the days. Who introduced that one? I can't remember if it was Jedi master Brick, JediAnakin, or Darth Nihilus. Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Who introduced that one? I can't remember if it was Jedi master Brick, JediAnakin, or Darth Nihilus. Jedianakin/TheBoyWonder's first character, Luc. He was short-lived. Quote

I know the orcs werent me. Ah, thanks. That's why I asked here; you're faster than Google and my ability to skim the Hall topic. Oh, found it; the orc thing was started by Trotter (Fives). Right after Bacari got bitten in the arm while killing and capturing birds. Quote
CMP Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It's always funny reading through the first few pages of the hall. Trying to figure out whether food actually cost anything or not... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Trying to figure out whether food actually cost anything or not... As proof of Heroica's being a true RPG, we started a drinking game before we even went on a quest. Quote
Flipz Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I wince every time I see my first posts in the Hall. The clumsiness bit was all right, but the rest of my stuff was just horrible. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 A Crusader comes into the Hall and starts screaming "Kill all the Orcs!!!" With that he threw a Shuriken at Cronk. Luc jumped up caught the shuriken then fired off 3 Arrows. They landed around the Crusader, "Take you anti-orc views out of here. An Orc saved me from one of you lot when I was 3 Years Old.You had burned my Kinsmens Treetop Village, then killed everyone in there. So unless you wish to feel my wrath, exit Heroica Hall now." And that was the post we were referring to. I'm suprised it's not in the theater under the heading, how not to do RP. Quote

Zepher Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It's actually interesting seeing all this play out in the quest 44 thread. Quest 28's version was all in PM which makes me wonder if they (the players) might have responded differently had they been in the public. I am curious as to how many of my previous questies figured out that they all were interacting with the same beggars behind the scene? I actually also assumed we all had different side-quests. I've never done it that way, with everyone doing the same thing, but it was interesting. Also, BD how the hell did you quote the post that came directly after your's? WITCH!! Flipz, thanks for pouring all this role playing in. The NPCs of this quest are quieter than normal Zepher PCs, so I'm really excited to see how the PCs interact with each other in reaction to what they find. I also totally didn't realize the potential with Alexis and Arthur in a party together. They don't really know each other too well, but Althior is the mentor of Arthur, and they've spoken about Alexis many times. It will be exciting to see how those three grow together, especially with Arthur's flirting. I smell actually interesting character conflict!!! Quote
