The battle rages. Arthur, perhaps hoping to prove his worth as potential leader, smashes the Chaos Beast with a palpable hit, which Cronk follows up. Tesni takes a heavy smack from the back of the Beast's axe, which plows into her stomach and knocks her onto her behind. Sasha hacks at the Beast created by her former friend, and with one swift motion decapitates it.

See, Flipz, I was right all along!

I don't think that weapons are required to pwn. It'd be awesome if you could do some Assasin's creed trailer Fighting (One man pwning an entire army unarmed. Then he activates his wrist blades.) Jon is the same age as Ezio so.... Pwnage!

The Expert Class Chi Monk may be for you.

The Chi Monk Expert Class fights without weapons.

I'd think that an actual assassin would be more adept at dodging all-out brawls rather than engaging in them. The AC idea of an assassin would, in my mind, be the exception rather than the rule.

They are MONKS though. Assasins class should get assasin's creed style fighting.

It would be cool, but an Assassin I would benefit more from a crossbow or daggers. I do think we should introduce Claws (Katars) for Rogues though.

EDIT: I meant introduce them to the marketplace.

I'm reading through quest 37, Lycan, You are awesome in that.

Thank you. Makes a change for my RP to be considered awesome. Some people need practice some have it already. IMO my first RP was horrific, as we discussed a few pages back.

"I'm not good for much else, might as well heal her. Tesni, make sure you're making your choice because it's the smartest thing to do, not because you want to get a turn at stabbing the Chaos Beast. Make smart choices. When you're in a party, you've got others depending on you. That's one of the hardest things for green heroes to learn, and many fail to ever learn it."

I like that he indirectly called Tesni green, while she is the most experienced hero in the hall, and just shy of the gray wizard's level at a fraction of his age.

I will address that later, just afte a battle in a dangerous vally is not the best place to be having an argument on experience and ability... When we camp out however... well I have some words for that wizard.

I didn't mean to say that the classes' stats and abilities were designed unfairly. I do think that loot compensation is a separate beast from class stat&ability balance, though. It very much becomes a playstyle, rather than a black&white "This is your class" thing. Clerics and Rogues can both choose whether or not to share the benefit of their unique class abilities with their team. A Cleric would be perfectly within his/her/its rights to heal only themselves throughout a quest, saving ether and potion cost. As long as they weren't doing something foolish (ie, letting their team die in a fight they could have otherwise won), they have no responsibility to keep their team at peak fighting condition. Other classes could buy potions and keep themselves topped up, but that often falls to the cleric instead. And, in turn, the cost of refreshing the ether also falls to the cleric. A Cleric's class perk has become a class burden. A rogue is perfectly within his/her/its rights to keep any gold they get from mugging or similar to themselves, even beyond the amount they spent on consumables for the fight. The difference lies in the community perception and general assumptions: Clerics are supposed to support their team through healing; Rogues are allowed to hoard their gold.

Wow! This has shed a new light on my role. Thankfully Eric has Erdy to heal him, because he can't expect any heals from me.

Monk Pretzel has just reached new levels of selfishness.

Also, if I ever "Party Leader" a quest again, don't expect any fair loot distribution. The only items my underlings will get are the items that Monk Pretzel cannot use.

Now I need to become a party leader again.

But, more seriously speaking, your argument does make a lot of sense swils.

I look around the quickly-emptying Hall. My plate is clean, my stomach full, my thirst quenched, many of my fellow heroes on a quest, and I have little to do but wait.

"I'm not doing anything while I wait. Anyone up for a trip to the Fields of Glory?"

Isn't Docken the only active hero in the hall besides the three going on Quest #47?

He should go to the fields of glory on his own. Finally, we'll see him face some balanced enemies, suited specifically for him.

Be sure to bring up the fact that he wants to be called the "Gray Wizard" when he's actually a cleric.

When a Shaman rolls SHIELD while healing a comrade, which enemy is used: Previously targeted enemy (if any), first in enemy battle order, separate roll used to determine?

Swils, You used the exact same body and head for Wereamanil as I was planning for Lycan.

They just work so well together  Luckily, mine's just a mask so Lycan can still claim to be the real deal, heh.

Sorry Quest 39ers, classes all morning, and because you're about to pick a flower, I think you know I have to edit the pictures for a flashback. I'll get it up this afternoon!

TWIST!! All of Heroica is a dream, and you're about to find out that nothing you've done so far matters. MWAHAHAHA.

I'm probably just so used to apologizing to you guys for delays, that's all I know how to say anymore.

In most cases it doesn't matter, but just to make a ruling, I'd say the first enemy in the list.

Sort of like The Matrix? So Haldor is gonna wake up in a pod, plugged into a bunch of tubes, about to be converted to a AA battery?

No problem for delays, gives us time for some roleplay! C'mon Flipz, log on...
