Pyrovisionary Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I love Nur all the time. He's such a funny and intriguing character. He makes little comments about leaving the girls to waste, but also lets Sylph think he's bending the tree himself. How fun is that? Very. Also, sorry again to the 38ers. The computer I have my pictures on randomly can't connect to the internet right now. Why? Who knows! My Mac can do it fine! College internet has 0 rules of consistency, apparently. Email yourself the said pictures, log onto a working computer and done? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) I very much want Sarge to be able to use Ranged weapons, but I also want to stick to my Rp. Then again. Assassin pretty much does both of these. So I feel that that is a good way to go The problem with me and rp is that both me and my pc are extremely hostile/defensive. But on the other hand sorcerer sounds very good. Although I wouldn't think Sarge would be into any of this "Magic Shennanigans" Raider fits in with the pirate/army deserter thing and there are so many possibilities! I shallwait till Lvl 15 I think. Thank you. You're welcome, don't think you are limited by what Sarge's personality is currently. Like I've said you've got a whole 15 levels to shape it. My opinion is that one can role-play almost any PC into almost any class if one really works at it. For example, I would never have pictured En Sabah Nur as a Battle Mage, but he accomplished the transition beautifully, same with Atramor in becoming a Witch. Both are great examples of players incorporating the scenarios encountered by their PC's into their actual class decisions. Edited September 5, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote

You're a Rogue; you'll be able to use ranged throwing weapons no matter what class you pick. Also, sorry again to the 38ers. Do you have an iphone or itouch or something? Maybe you could move them onto the iphone, or whatever, then move it to the Mac. Quote
swils Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Oh, hey there Deadly Poison. I forgot all about you, sittin' there in Thormanil's pack, all lonely and stuff. Don't worry, you're gonna get to have some fun here real soon! Quote
Sandy Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 Also out of curiousity Sandy, if a Hunter with the Hunter's Quiver marks two types, humanoid and aquatic for instance, are they effective against both when they face a humanoid/aquatic monster thus doing x6 damage, or is it the normal x3? The hunter does x6 damage to an enemy that has two types it favors. I'm interested in the way you play Ellaria, Sandy, but (perhaps I am seeing this all wrong) I get the idea that Ellaria's story ties in with Heroica's main story arc? And because of that it is quite slow. I would like to see MORE from Ellaria, if I'm honest. Ellaria is not connected to the main storyline. That wouldn't be fair to other players, in my opinion. She does have her own little storyline going on, but I admit that I haven't been able to play her much since most of my time spent on this game goes to managing it and hosting my quests. So Ellaria has to take the back seat quite often, sad to say. Quote

Scorpiox Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 OoC:Also, I still need an action/battle order, even if you're blind and doing nothing this round, Scorpiox. Sorry, just got home, I'll post now, Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 All 'Sarge' is turning out to be in 47 is, Hostile, angry and mean. Could I be given a few examples of how to show a good aspect of someone's personality? Quote

Zepher Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Sorry that I am so bad! I don't mean to be! Without being rude - stop apologizing and just fix the issues. Search through the topics. There is a great index that will tell you where to go for different things pinned to the top of this sub-forum. Read all the topics there that you want to know about, and commit the information to memory. Also, read old Quests. Quest 6 is a good example, and a short read. Quest 41 is also short and fun and more recent, so it includes some of the newer mechanics (though I'm bias). Finally, if you have more time, read 32, it's got a lot of new mechanics, but is also straight forward and concerns the classes you'll be dealing with for the time being. One of my personal favorite sayings is this: "If you keep apologizing for the same thing, it can't mean you're that sorry." No one minds new people in the game. We love it, actually. Seriously. But when the new people don't put forward an effort, that bothers us, because we've put a lot of work into the game, and also because we've done a lot of work to make it accessible. So read up, and look at the topics before asking things here. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 All 'Sarge' is turning out to be in 47 is, Hostile, angry and mean. If that's how you want him to be thought of as, there's nothing wrong with that. It'd allow you to develop your character further through conflict with other heroes, that's for sure. Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Just got to raise a point. Why would there be a rogue who's a sargeant? Quote
Flipz Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Nice one, Flare! You've combined two of Doc's mechanics to excellent effect there--I'd like to see more Quests like that. Edited September 6, 2012 by Flipz Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Just got to raise a point. Why would there be a rogue who's a sergeant? Because he isn't in the army anymore, rogue is just the class that he chose. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Just got to raise a point. Why would there be a rogue who's a sargeant? Why not? Ex-army man, very corrupt army maybe? Steal and pillage and rape? You know, that kinda sergeant. Because he isn't in the army anymore, rogue is just the class that he chose. This. Quote

Indeed; the hex map is the perfect way to clarify the Nights mechanic of the fully-explorable map. Something I've wished I would have done way back during Q4. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 So an angel thinks it can bribe Cronk with essentially three Somas? Doesn't know Cronk very well, does it? Quote
Flipz Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 So an angel thinks it can bribe Cronk with essentially three Somas? Doesn't know Cronk very well, does it? Cronk blesses us all with his presence. Actually, he needs a unique artifact for that: Mantle of Cronk (suitable for Cronk only): SP: 2, Grants Blessed-effect to user and up to two allies. Quote
