UsernameMDM Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That's not to say you wouldn't be accepted, but your chances would be less than someone who had a neutral stance or a favored stance... I was thinking more of a numerical rating system. Each improved status would be +1. For instance, if I did 5 Hinckwell quests, I would have +5 with the Hinckwells. With that in mind, there could be restrictions because of that. For instance, there could a quest for Shadeaux with a requirement of less than +3 with Hinckwells. Conversely, there could be benefits too, such as extra gold or an extra character level for having a certain level of reputation. Just some thoughts. Quote

While the extra gold or benefits might be plausible, I think the real benefit is getting hired in the first place. With that said, I think leaving it up to the QM's to decide whether the character would realistically have a chance of being hired or not by a certain house is best, less numbers and more role-playing that way . As Sandy has stressed simple is generally better. Edited October 14, 2011 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I think it works best for the hosts to just put 'preferably' when specifying desired reputation. Gives you more options if not as many players as you anticipated signed up. Quote

But yes, I do agree that keeping it simple is best. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Thank you so much! I'll post Bricklink links, if that's ok? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb051 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973p4nc01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=970c55pb01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=62696 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4499 Also a black cape or something if possible. I'd like the hair in dark brown please :) Also, any old blue trousers will do if you don't have those (or if they look odd - I haven't actually tried that combo) Thank you again so much Man, I feel really lame now... I do have all those parts, but the torso is faded to doom and the head has a toothmark (Siblings suck) Can anyone else supply that combination? I can get new ones, but the timescale hinges on sellers then. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I suppose it was my own fault, having the same favourite torso part as my bothersome younger brother. He would pinch it and take the head off I liked to use.. Often with his teeth Quote

Not bad suggestions, but like others have said, I'd rather not add any more number crunching into this game. There are various stages of reputation, though (Alexis already has "great" reputation among the Hinckwells, having completed two quests for them). And I'm thinking of adding negative reputation to the mix in the future as well. Here you go, Princess Storm! I found more matching legs for your character, hope you don't mind. They're from the Kingdoms Advent Calendar wizard. Quote

Thanks again for your help guys - please don't put Bricklink orders in for special parts for my fig though! (unless you were planning to get them anyway ) Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I was thinking of creating a few figures if I have the parts in good condition. I will await my next BL order, (I have to gather up enough parts I want to need to make one)who knows? Quote
Tanma Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 De'kra is reminded by a voice in the sky that the failure of quest 6 was only a failure in the town watch's point of view. The failure was due to the fact that the heroes made a deal with Donny instead of arresting him. The voice in the sky is answered by a dark stranger that while quest six was "failed" on purpose, the reports are not going to list that. After all, if the Town Watch learned of the Questers' true actions, the three heroes would be in trouble. Thus the reports would leave the deal out. And since De'kra only read the reports, he can't know about the real plan of the Quest six group. You know what, I will just call the group from quest six the Foxes, as the fox is kin to the wolf and like in myths of foxes the trio tricked and outwitted their opponents. Quote

On another topic, I'm waiting for Masked Builder to release his roster of players before I reveal mine for Quest #10. I gave him the first pick, because he posted his quest pitch before I did mine. I think we must have posted simultaneously, I had to post and run as I had to get back to college for lectures, but that picture for sure wasn't there when I began writing my post! Thank you so much, the whole ensemble looks cool Now I can join in, yay! Quote

Masked Builder Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Once everyone confirms in the hall, I'll post the quest thread. Hey, what happened to mostly rangers and rogues? Yeah sorry bout that. That was left over from my brainstorming. The trespasser must be some sort of demon. Maybe he's made of gold and we're supposed to Mug him to death... Nope, and nope. But no more questions! Quote
Cwertle Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Hey I was just wondering if its too late too join the game, I didn't see a deadline but it seemed like no one else was joining. Quote
