Masked Builder Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 That sounds good to me Sandy. Quote
Flare Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 The artefacts rule sounds great, especially because it will allow me to use an extra artefact Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I agree with the raising of the artifacts number based onlevel, it seems a fair mechanic. The longer you play, the more you get out of it. I think we'll see some real SP monsters though! Quote
Flare Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 "You just had to go and dig, didn't you?" Eric said, annoyed. "Are you sure you're at the right place in Heroica, perhaps you'd better join some mining guild" :roflmao: Well said! Quote
K-Nut Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 The rule sounds good to me! How can more artifacts be a bad thing? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 For all those who said "French Revolution" back in 37. Quote
CMP Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Awesome to see Tarn's transformation into a Berserker, Rumble Strike, and his new look is cool too. Though the Sand Worm Hide is a bodywear, like the Heavy Armor. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Is it? I thought it was a cape! Quote
CMP Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Is it? I thought it was a cape! No, unfortunately some creatures have a tendency to inexplicably turn into random pieces of clothing when you kill them. This one turned into a robe. Quote
Endgame Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Awesome to see Tarn's transformation into a Berserker, Rumble Strike, and his new look is cool too. Though the Sand Worm Hide is a bodywear, like the Heavy Armor. Just like some Wolfgang members drop their heads or how some Proggs have their claws detach upon death. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Off to the marketplace it goes then! Quote
CMP Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I want to know how Galen is wearing this as a hat. Quote
Endgame Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I want to know how Galen is wearing this as a hat. Nobody ever said it fit... Maybe he is just using the teeth as a headcage of sorts? Quote
JimBee Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'm actually contemplating on allowing players to have "full equipment" (ie. allowing them to equip one artefact from each six subcategories), but I don't know how that will affect the balance of this game. Any opinions? Thanks for the ideas. If you don't mind, Zepher, I'd like to process your idea into this: Level 1: one artefact Level 10: two artefacts Level 20: three artefacts Level 30: four artefacts Level 40: five artefacts Level 50: six artefacts Sounds simpler, eh? Naturally the "one from each subcategory" -rule would still be in effect. Looks good to me, too. But let me play the devil's advocate for a moment (a job that I'm used to ). I think that things will be extremely hard to balance with so many artifacts. What happens when we have Expert Class heroes that are permanently lucky, immune to slowed, weakened, and fragile effects, and counterstrike? Etc. etc... And what about new QMs who have to learn the rules inside and out? Adding all of these variables will make things hard to understand and balance. I guess you could say that the new QMs should host for low level players, but that severely limits the number of people that QM can host for. Right now, for example, a new QM would host for a few level 1s. Once that QM understood the rules a little better, then the people that they first hosted for would be at the level appropriate for the quest master. The same people (QMs and players) would be together for a long time. Does this make sense or am I just rambling here? Quote
Palathadric Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'm not sure, but I think it's still in the game. It died with Daxus. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) It died with Daxus. I think that could possibly be a message. Also, I support Sandy's decision. Edited September 16, 2012 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote
Endgame Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) I think that could possibly be a message. Also, I support Sandy's decision. What died with who what now? Oh yeah, that. It may show up again, but not be attainable. A certain someone has it... (If we're talking about Combrys) Edited September 16, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Palathadric Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) For those of you too afraid to go on another Endgame quest, don't worry, I have gone over enemy stats with Sandy and gotten the seal of approval. They'll also be a montain of plot this time, so hooray! The Proggs are having a very big comeback, so those who liked 36 will love this one. I thought you'd wait with the progg quest until #42 was ended. I guess I need to pick up that lucky, lucky, lucky artifact : before I should consider fighting the proggs. Seriously, I hope you will wait for me. By the end of #42 I'll hopefully be an advanced class. Endgame, we were talking about the belt he had that allowed equipping three artifacts. But Combrys died too, it would seem. Edited September 16, 2012 by Palathadric Quote

Needed to time it with the conclusion of 38 and 35 , but don't worry: all you have to do is tick off less insane people! I'll wait for you a bit if the end of 42 is foreseeable. Also, I'll accept anyone moderately close to 15. 12-13+ would be okay too. Also waitwoahwhat. I don't remember that in his stats at all. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) First thing Guts will say when he sees Tarn again: "Valco. You need to shave." Edited September 16, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote
CMP Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 First thing Guts will say when he sees Tarn again: "Valco. You need to shave." Did he manage to swipe a jar of Beard-Be-Gone from the alchemists too? Because I'm pretty sure with all the magic daggers floating around, trying to shave in Heroica is probably lethal. It explains all the ragged stubble heroes have. Quote
Flipz Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Also, note, the Emperor Brunt Side-quest is being published currently. A month after Dastan is over... sorry. It will bother me and no doubt those players that I already bother to have 30 bumped to the top of the page, but in all honesty, it would bother me more if I failed to ever publish it, so it's going up now. A great read. Seriously, I want to see Atramor and Tarn go off on another adventure together; GREAT interactions. Unfortunately, something in the BBCode is messed up; none of it is working at all for some strange reason. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I just love the Conquistador CMF and thought the face did look like a slightly older Tarn. So when I finally chose an Advanced Class for him it made sense to change it then, along with the outfit And yes, reading through the Brunt side quest again was fun. Atramor and Tarn tend to play off each other well. Quote

Unfortunately, something in the BBCode is messed up; none of it is working at all for some strange reason. Fixed. The damn site merges posts sometimes, which I split so the BBC code will work. And yes, reading through the Brunt side quest again was fun. Atramor and Tarn tend to play off each other well. Oh, no doubt. That's the main reason I wanted to post it. I think Tarn and Atramor grew together in a lot of ways throughout that battle, and I didn't want the public to not see it! It also had a few important plot points for Ella and Mallelio. Quote
Palathadric Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 It's always great to see those side quests. Excellent stuff Zepher, Rumble Strike, and CallMePie! Endgame: What do the heroes from those quests have anything to do with this. We are talking about Erik, Mizuki, and I. Any others have no revenge to take. Quote
