Endgame Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 It's always great to see those side quests. Excellent stuff Zepher, Rumble Strike, and CallMePie! Endgame: What do the heroes from those quests have anything to do with this. We are talking about Erik, Mizuki, and I. Any others have no revenge to take. They all are advanced clases. I'm planning on scooping them up after their respective quests end, duh. Quote
CMP Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Yeah, the roleplaying with Atramor/Tarn is fun, they're near-opposites yet they're still good friends. On another note, I can't imagine having to go through that battle without having a Witch, or at least some Deadly Venom. Quote

Well, actually, we were playing with a broken rules set for that battle, as Sandy later clarified that using a scroll doesn't count as targeting an enemy. NOW try to imagine that battle. Quote

NOW try to imagine that battle. Could've been worse. You could've had Phil come along. "But I must regain my honor, my blood the ultimate repayment for Constance's death! For Dastan!!" ...And by Round 5 between the 3 of us we have twenty Brunts running around. Quote
Zepher Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Hey, Phil is a badass guy. I think you're the only one who was told how he ended up in the Arena, but that's one of my favorite back-stories for ANY of my NPCs. AND Phil didn't kill Constance. He arrived afterwards. I can only recall a certain Witch telling a certain Barbarian to throw a certain Bomb... Though Phil does attack most things that move. He's just like that. Lyons was going down no matter what, according to Phil. Quote
Fugazi Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I want to know how Galen is wearing this as a hat. Nobody ever said it fit... Maybe he is just using the teeth as a headcage of sorts? Um, that's the whole beast, not its hat! I went for a turban/keffiyeh to represent the Chimera's headdress but white really didn't look good so... I suppose I had it died? If you have a better suggestion I'm listening! Quote

Lyons was going down no matter what, according to Phil. I know, he's an interesting character. Elegant in his simplicity. It's still amusing to me as tow how he cut Lyons' dying words short. Atramor just doesn't find any fault in running when it's needed and using whatever's around him to win. Even if it's a portable nuke. Um, that's the whole beast, not its hat! I went for a turban/keffiyeh to represent the Chimera's headdress but white really didn't look good so... I suppose I had it died? If you have a better suggestion I'm listening! I try to make Atramor's outfit match his artifacts too, but I don't have any blue gloves and the crown looks silly on top of his hair. Zepher's done a good job with Boomingham, and Galen looks a lot better with his new look, in my mind, I wouldn't change it much. I desperately hope that in the Lone Ranger sets, Tonto's hair will be black. I can think of no greater way to scream to the world 'I'm a voodoo-esque Necromancer and I'm friggin' proud of it' then a dead crow on your head... Quote

Which reminds me, now that I know which crown piece Brunt used, I need to make a Quest 38-only avatar for Arthur. Interestingly, I know exactly which style of hair I'll be using for Arthur, but I doubt anyone will get to see the actual color, since...well, suffice to say there is a reason that Arthur refuses to take of his hat. Flipz Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Let me guess...he's got a BALD PATCH?! Where I was ACTUALLY going with that... Also, anyone else find it hilarious how much effort and preparation the Heroes are going to just to pick a flower? Quote

In a Zepher quest, anything you do is going to end up tied into something else through one stroke of QM awesomeness or another, so it's not a bad idea to be careful... Quote

Well, yeah, it makes sense to us, but I'm thinking of how it will look in the Library chronicle. "And lo, the heroes spotted a pink flower, and at once all scrambled to prepare; corks came out of alchemical brews, the Clerics and Mages dug wildly through their packs in search of Tonics, and all the Heroes readied their weapons for a fight of epic proportions. And finally, when the team was prepared, only after their wounds were bound and covered, their blades sharpened, and their senses strained to their peak, the Sorcerer Arthur stepped forward...and picked the flower." Using out of character knowledge to your advantage always takes precedence over the in-universe story. Quote

The Lost Party is a little less complex than some of my other quests, but I promise, the final Wren quest will be 100% making tough decisions based. I will say this: of your friendly NPCs, there will be MANY deaths. Quote

Endgame Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Since the end of the Proggs is coming soon (assuming I don't continue my killstreak ) I might as well show you the beginning: Yes, they originally looked that horrible. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Signs up to final Wren quest well in advance I will be on that team! Quote
