Brickdoctor Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I wonder if the Scarecrow will ever realize Docken's the one who stole his hat like a year ago. Would make for interesting battle conversation. Using the exact same strategy to defeat him this time around should give him a hint. Quote
CMP Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Scuba, how long do you expect Quest 40 to run? I'm not impatient to be off of it, I'm just curious for future plans. Same question to Sandy to Quest 44. And just to be sure, same question to Zepher about 38. Quote

CMP Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Is it bad if I say you are not even at a quarter? No, now I'm just excited. Also, how does the Hexed effect work for free hits? Edited September 17, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Sandy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Same question to Sandy to Quest 44. I honestly can't say. I've planned for two or three more battles for the quest, but with this many players, it's not going to be fast. Also, how does the Hexed effect work for free hits? Well, the hexed enemy attacks one of his allies instead of a hero. The QM can randomly draw its target. Quote

The issue in Quest 40 is whether or not the hero the Hexed enemy would've targeted counts as being targeted by that enemy, even though the attack hit a random opponent. Zepher Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Is it bad if I say you are not even at a quarter? No, that's fantastic. I want more Scuba drops and story and actually challenging battles, AND more player interaction. Gotta love this party. And I'm not trying to cause a huge fuss over the Hexed effect. I've seen it always as redirected because it says "instead of", which meant to me the enemy would still technically "target" a party member, but then turn on an enemy instead. Much like if 3 players target it, and it rolls damage, even though the heroes targeted it, the enemy is hit. That's the way I've seen it done (and done it) in the past. I'm fine with it being different, I just wish you had told us the way you were doing it when you had seen my explanation of the reasoning of the battle order. I was clearly planning and paying attention, but was expecting something different than what happened RULES wise. I don't think it would have been unfair to warn me that I had a bad understanding of your interpretation of the rules. Quote

But heroes target enemies, not the other way around. A hexed enemy gets a Free Hit only if he was not targetted by a hero. Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I think Thormanil is becoming the greatest Heroica Barbarian/Shaman. Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Bal and Triad need to be in that order. Sorted! I think Thormanil is becoming the greatest Heroica Barbarian/Shaman. Other than Haldor, obviously. Quote
swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Other than Haldor, obviously. Soon, Haldor will have the spotlight all to himself. For a while, at least Quote
Flipz Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I think Thormanil is becoming the greatest Heroica Barbarian/Shaman. No, that title belongs to Haldor. And no, not just because I need that Plaything. Thormanil is a min-maxer to rival Atramor, Arthur, and Docken, though. Quote

swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Because it's oh so hard to come up with ways to take a character who just recently decided that he didn't want to go around mugging people, and make them say, "Y'know what I feel like doing today, tomorrow, and for the next few weeks? Mugging people!" Thankfully, Jeb has set Thorm up for that pretty well (and I didn't even have to ask!) Quote

Shamans are especially good, considering their Shield actually heals and they can fight quite well if they need to. Quote
swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 But.. think of all the money! I really do need to go raider for a little while to both test out my theory, and to pad Thorm's wallet a bit. I guess I'll have to make two trips to the Fields: One short trip for wealth, and then a longer one for progress, heh. Quote

Or Thormanil can go with Raider, get a ton of Gold, and buy Potions for the whole party. Quote

Just give us your theory, perhaps it's wrong, and you lose a lot of gold in the process? You will end up having to take a loan, and only two people in Heroica's world would be able to do that, neither of which you have to deal with. Bonus points if you give me the correct two people I mean. Quote
CMP Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Cronk's more suited to bash than heal, though. While a few are probably going to have healing abilities, there should be a dedicated healer, and again, Shields that heal are a big plus. Paladins are more like self-sustaining tanks. Quote
swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Just wait, sheeesh. If I lose a lot of gold, I lose a lot of gold and Thorm has to dance on the weekends to pay for his room and board. Thank heavens he picked up that Gender-swap mask. Actually, there's not a very large capital cost to this, provided he has the right party members with him. I promise, all will be revealed in due time. Now hurry up with that Unlimited quest, and find me a good batch of enemies to go after. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Selfish little giant... Hoarding all the gold for himself, not wanting to give Guts a chance to make some cash. Is anyone else thinking there should be SOME form of limitation on the petrified effect one way or the other? There is no way to cure it except remedy, and very few enemies can remedy, I think. Quote
