swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Selfish little giant... Hoarding all the gold for himself, not wanting to give Guts a chance to make some cash. Psshh, Guts is the one who ruined it for the rest of the Raiders, up-and-coming or otherwise, by mugging the megablocks out of that one battle. Now we have to get creative to really strike it big Quote

Leave the blobs and their ungodly hoard of gold alone? Hell no. By the way, I think the heroes of Quest 43 should use the lid from the coffin to slide down the hill. It would be awesome, just saying. swils Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Which is why I am going raider in 14 levels. An old soldier relieved of duty with a short fuse? I can definitely see Raider working for him, heh. If you're out to strike it big, then be warned--it'll be situational at best. Quote

As much as it would be awesome, it would be deeply disrespectful, what has Heroica come to? Using memorials to those passed away as a quick way to get down off a cliff, despicable behaviour. Quote

The Legonater Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Does the same thing. Oh yes, I have to be there. Bonus points if the Amulet makes a reappearance, as it'll let me do something insane with Arthur, granted the logic of everything. Ditto. Quote

And besides, Nur promised to replace the lid once they were down the hill, who says the heroes can't have a little fun amidst the bloodshed? Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Ditto. Consider Haldor pre-signed as well! Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Random question of the random time period. Even though you may not plan on bring your current character to an end anytime soon, what way/scenario would you invision your character leaving Heroica? Is it by death in a climatic battle? Are they betrayed by their fellow party members? Do they decide there is more gold and glory to be gained else where? Are they banished for siding with one faction or another, or holding onto some ideology? Do they leave to care for a loved one or simply retire? What is your character's ideal exit? Quote

Ideally, Atramor would probably get betrayed by his party members. I can already picture the party that would do that. Althior, Thothwick, De'kra... But if there ever actually does comes a time when I get sick of him, assuming I create the second character I'm currently thinking of, that character would probably kill him. Brickdoctor Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What is your character's ideal exit? When Docken's SP and HP are so ridiculously high that no one wants to QM him and there's no way for me to further improve his defenses. I haven't figured out the exact in-universe story yet. It'll have something to do with the storyline of the Historica Docken*.*Even though it has been stated that there is no connection between Heroica and Historica, I'm using the same character for both of them. Historica Docken is Heroica Docken's fate, and Heroica Docken is Historica Docken's backstory. Quote

If all stays well, I would expect Haldor would try to remain in Heroica for the forseeable future, as there isn't much left for him to return to back home, not after he left. But in the circumstances that he would retire, I imagine him leaving peacefully after realising that he could no longer continue. Once he left, I would envision him going to live a quiet life with Jess, and probably getting married and raising a family of Human-elf hybrids. Quote

Flipz Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Before I figured out the extended storyline for Arthur, I had planned to have him killed at the end of the final Wren Quest, by getting in the way of Wren's plans (i.e. he interferes in the summoning ritual, killimg him and causing the ritual to go wrong). Before I realized I wanted to write Chaos into Arthur's backstory, I envisioned Arthur going on a Quest similar to Q43, with Arthur sacrificing himself to save the two boys instead of the party being forced to choose one or the other. Either way, now that I've figured out Arthur's connections, he'll be staying around for quite some time now. Quote

Either Guts would die a heroic dead against an old enemy he could just defeat, but succumb to wounds shortly after, Guts would grow so disillusioned with everyone around him and just decide to take matters into his own hands, and either die or disappear that way, Guts could die in his sleep from Scheherezade poisoning his wine, or, what I would like to see, that Guts becomes an NPC within Heroica's structure, think that would be interesting. Ideally, Dyric Rone exposes and kills the King of Duplovia, and returns home in a relative peace. A tad boring, I guess, but it's the one that makes the most sense to me. Quote
