Zepher Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I'll wait until I find a suitable quest, thematically, and then see if it evolves in a way that Boomingham will die. Essentially, if a ending to his arc presents itself, I will kill him off. If not, I'd love for him to die near the end of Heroica, if there ever is some final epic quest that results in a Hero slaughter, I'd love to have him be part of that. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Tarn would fight until his last breath. He almost had that in the Dastan quest, luckily Zeph didn't actually kill him. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I know you'd never kill a PC off! Just mentioned it as that battle was a team wipe and Tarn was the last one to drop. Very intense. Quote

I still can't believe how badly we screwed up there. His physical wounds would heal, but not his woes about hope being lost with the Ji Pei. You've got the Bonaparte leader right in front you! Hit him or something! Quote

K-Nut Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I've got a perfect way to send off Althior's Character, but it will reveal to much about him and what I have planned for his future. Quote
CMP Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Do it, and De'kra will join you in a second. The similarities between De'kra and Hybros are scary. Short, shadowy, cloaked in mystery, Rogues-turned-Assassins-to-turn-Chi-Monks, adverse to human traditions, struggle to perfectly recall their past... Quote

It gets even better, Hydros was the first person De'kra spoke to in the hall. But yeah, odd how linked we are. I am pretty sure De'kra's origins are different though. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Honestly, I have no idea, probably something like The Lord of the Rings story though. Accessory. Both the Treasury and the Marketplace are great for double checking. Ah, I keep forgetting about the Treasury. You've just noticed? Yeah, should've seen it earlier! Quote
CMP Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Ah, I keep forgetting about the Treasury. I should probably update that. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I should probably update that. Well mostly it's because it's never updated. But I can't blame you for not doing that. And I knew you'd say something like that. Quote
CMP Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Well mostly it's because it's never updated. But I can't blame you for not doing that. Hey, I'm not that far behind...I just don't bump it because there's no point. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 You've got the Bonaparte leader right in front you! Hit him or something! Cannoneer seems pretty cool from Sandy's demonstration that last battle. I'm surprised more people aren't jumping at the chance to blow stuff up. I wish Cronk wasn't so set in his ways as a paladin. I'd love to see him as a Dragoon (A pet dragon!). He'd also be hilarious as a Minstrel. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I should probably update that. Yeah, you should. I check it all the time to look up artifacts or weapons which players reference when they're from quests that I didn't pay much attention to. Quote
CMP Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) All done. I started listing weapon types, too. Surprisingly, a lot of them don't fit into any categories, though few are actually in use. Fun fact of the day: There's a weapon called the Longsword that's classed as a greatsword, and vice versa. Waterbrick Down Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Sandy, can you explain how the demonic scissors work? Does the PC target 2 enemies or does their attack do damage to two enemies? Quote
Palathadric Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Random question of the random time period. Even though you may not plan on bring your current character to an end anytime soon, what way/scenario would you invision your character leaving Heroica? Is it by death in a climatic battle? Are they betrayed by their fellow party members? Do they decide there is more gold and glory to be gained else where? Are they banished for siding with one faction or another, or holding onto some ideology? Do they leave to care for a loved one or simply retire? What is your character's ideal exit? I had actually been thinking about this quite a bit recently, as I have been thinking of scraping Monk Pretzel, at least for now, since he is a bit tiresome to play for. I don't think it's allowed to scrap a PC for a while and then come back to them though, and I think it would be shame for Monk Pretzel to leave and never come back, but I always had the idea that once he became Level 15, he would train to become a paladin, since he was one many (many, many) years ago, but the Copper Fox would basically tell him "Forget it, you can't even lift a shield!" And Monk Pretzel would leave Heroica in a huff and later come back to "prove" himself or whatever. Probably ran out of money. Quote

Sandy Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Sandy, can you explain how the demonic scissors work? Does the PC target 2 enemies or does their attack do damage to two enemies? It's the same effect that the "Twin Sai" -weapon from my earlier quest has: "dual strike" allows the hit to strike the target and the enemy listed after it in the battle order. If there's only one enemy in the battle, the hit is normal. I should probably mention it in the FAQ or something... Quote
Sandy Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 All done. I started listing weapon types, too. Surprisingly, a lot of them don't fit into any categories, though few are actually in use. Thank you for your hard work! I hope QMs will mostly stick to the existing weapon types from now on. It would certainly make my life easier. Oh, don't forget the Fields of Glory prizes from the Treasury! Haaaallelujah! Quote
