Rumble Strike Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 You are confusing Battle Order (the order in which the party attacks) with the row you attack from. I don't mean that Barbarians should always be the first to attack in the Battle Order. That is up to the Party Leaders. But you can control which Row you fight from. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Battle Order is not positioning, it is orders to attack, it made more sense for my much stronger Barbarian to make the first attack, I could wipe out the enemy with a Fury or Extra Critical hit, saving my weaker teammates from damage. Clerics are always last to act in the hopes of a Miracle healing all damage after what could be a very painful round. Quote
Etzel Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Stop pecking on Alf now. It was a difficult and dangerous battle, in fact it was a too difficult and dangerous battle for us so we fled. Barbarians might be fearless warriors but it's no fun if your role playing gets you killed right away. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 my point is, that he was not the first one to be attacked. Order of Actions has nothing to do with Front Row or Back Row. Quote

K-Nut Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) my point is, that he was not the first one to be attacked. It doesn't really matter. It's just the order for which the dice is rolled for each player. Example: Battle order: Player A Player C Player B The QM roles the die for Player A first, therefore when Player C comes up, The damage left from Player A's attack is still there. And he let Tesni and Hoke go first because they were much stronger then him. EDIT: Doc beat me to it again! What is this, the third time? Edited October 18, 2011 by K-nut Quote

He is telling me to be so "Brave!" when I had a very likely chance of getting wiped out in one blow! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 THEY ALL STARTED AT LEVEL ONE?!!?!! sorry I got a bit mad... any ways... Yes, I started at level 1 in the Harvest Time Quest. Although I did indeed progress to Level 2 after a not so hard battle with Pumpkins and some tree dwelling creatures, we then faced a fraught battle with increasing Direwolves at level 3. All in all, I was level 6 by my second quest but I still started my first battle at level 1. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) That's my point! He is telling me to be so "Brave!" when I had a very likely chance of getting wiped out in one blow! You have a one in six chance of being damaged, as it's one spot on a six sided die. And Tarn didn't attack the skellie because it would do no damage, as it's undead. EDIT: Make that two in six. Bricksandparts Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 All this 1.5 page talk is leading up to, is that we were in a very difficult battle, And I suspect that Sandy would agree with this. I think she expected us to go to the left or right first, Of course, I could be wrong. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 EDIT: Doc beat me to it again! What is this, the third time? I think I myself was beaten by just about every other player online at the time. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 That was a frustrating battle until I got the Darkness Sword, man how I wish we had turned the other way in the first place Quote
K-Nut Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) That was a frustrating battle until I got the Darkness Sword, man how I wish we had turned the other way in the first place I was easy for me! Except for that undead confusion. "I am very excited Alexis. I know that several of our Questmates from Quest#5 have signed up so it would be great if we were all together again!" I see that Tarn doesn't miss me at all. Doesn't even remember me! Probably thinks I'm Amorith. Edited October 18, 2011 by K-nut Quote
Sandy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Okay, people, loads of misunderstandings going on here! Rumble Strike, in my opinion Bricksandparts has the right to be just as barbaric (or unbarbaric) as he sees best - it's his character, and his job class isn't (and shouldn't be) his only defining trait. I totally understand his thoughts of fighting from the back row when faced with enemies that can wipe him out in a single hit - that's a smart strategy, not a cowardly one. Those gargoyles were tough on purpose. And I don't think Bricksandparts confused the meanings of the order of actions and the rows at any point, anyway. Please read what you are being told with thought before jumping to conclusions, guys! I don't want any quarrels between players in the game, and I hope everyone agrees to that. If you feel irritated or frustrated, take it out on the monsters instead of each others, okay? Quote
K-Nut Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I am so jealous of the people in quest 8. Nyx will have every gem by the time the quests over! Quote

Sandy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 I am so jealous of the people in quest 8. Nyx will have every gem by the time the quests over! Yeah... Capt.JohnPaul, maybe you should stop handing over gems like candy. They're supposed to be rare. I love the shot with the rock monsters, though. They're such cute little fellows! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Your compass is driving me crazy K-nut! It's making the quest so easy for you guys. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Yeah... Capt.JohnPaul, maybe you should stop handing over gems like candy. They're supposed to be rare. Halloween is coming up! OK! Quote
Sandy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Your compass is driving me crazy K-nut! It's making the quest so easy for you guys. But it's their loss that they will miss all the optional content just by sticking to the correct path. Quote

Until the Merchant comes to town. Your compass is driving me crazy K-nut! It's making the quest so easy for you guys. We should go the wrong way so we can get more battles. Or a better alternative! A tree falls and smashes Althior's compass, but also drops 50 gold. But now seeing Sandy's post, Please do that? Pwease? Edited October 18, 2011 by K-nut Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 But it's their loss that they will miss all the optional content just by sticking to the correct path. I didn't think of that you're right Sandy. We should go the wrong way so we can get more battles. Or a better alternative! A tree falls and smashes Althior's compass, but also drops 50 gold. You're hopeless. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 You're hopeless. How about a beast stealing it? Or maybe Finnegan? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Until the Merchant comes to town. My Quest actually presented the chance to buy Elemental Gems - for more Gold than anyone had, of course. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 How about a beast stealing it? Or maybe Finnegan? Oh ho! I can control Finnegan? I could have some fun with this. William sits down next to Elgar and watches a 21 year old barbarian talk (flirt?) to a 21 year old elf who will most definitely outlive him by a couple of hundred years. I'm definitely 18. Quote
