Sandy Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Those are some mean butterflies. Funny how enemies in Heroica scale. Lowly city rats will one day be able to kill Chimeras. That's actually something I wish QMs take into consideration. When creating a quest for high-level heroes, a QM shouldn't be making them fight rats or scorpions anymore, but real monsters that fit the given level. It's the same thing with the Fields of Glory: the easier difficulty stages contain many common animals, but the further a party travels, the more bizarre and monstrous the enemies will get. Quote

The flipside also applies: It's interesting to note who we have already toppled. I mean, we've slain a god. Can't go too much higher, and we're not even in Expert classes. Quote

Sandy Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Oh crap. A "Rat King of Pandemia" is still plausible even at high levels, for example. Quote

I really can't think of anything a Paragon would fight that we haven't already, except maybe Ulric. Quote

When creating a quest for high-level heroes, a QM shouldn't be making them fight rats or scorpions anymore, but real monsters that fit the given level. I'm really good at doing that. My heroes haven't fought Vermin in ages. Unfortunately, that means that everyone knows that if you want to succeed on a Brickdoctor quest, all you have to do is bring an Amethyst. Quote
CMP Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Well, at least when players are fighting Vermin at higher levels, it's usually huge mobs of low-levelled creatures. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Look, in Strivvi, the vermin is tougher, something in the water, probably. Edited September 29, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote

Endgame Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 That needs to be quest. It also needs to have 32x more health then normal. Quote
CMP Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Let me be the first to say the new Tesni looks badass. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 New look posted For those interested: CMF Bride's Hair Anne Lee's Head (Monster Fighters) Ktuncha's Armour (Ninjago) A Reversed Alamut Guard Torso (Prince of Persia) with the arms swapped for yellow with reddish brown hands. Brown Vambraces from Brickforge Eomer's legs (Lord of the Rings) CMF Evil Knight's Shield CMF Highlander's Sword with a 1x1 round tile glued to the pommel. Acceptable variations can use a different torso an unmodified sword and no vambraces. Quote

Looks great, though both Eomer and the torso will be tough to get. Oh, well, more parts for the "to buy" list! Also, seriously, no one wants to talk to my NPC characters? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Also, seriously, no one wants to talk to my NPC characters? That's right. I have the feeling anyone associated with Arthur dies... Quote
CMP Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Also, seriously, no one wants to talk to my NPC characters? They revolve around Arthur. Not much point to them besides his storyline. As it relates more and more on the Wren Quests and NPCs, there's increasingly less interaction from other players. *Altar Girl class snip* Is it weird that this class sounds cool? I would have Punii say "hi", but that is borderline posting in the Hall when you're on a quest. EDIT: Sandy, did you modify Bluto's page to get Skuld's? Look at the Damage section... I'm pretty sure that we just fought a tiny section of one that was imprisoned in a mortal body. Yeah, just a tiny Godling bit. And the Chimera.... which was also sort of a God now that I think about it, but he also was only being brought minorly into the mortal plane, and he wasn't the same sort of God. I dig the new Tesni! Also, called the twist Sandy, but am extremely happy it was there to call! Wonderful choice. Notes on my quest in another hour, sorry all! Finally, Sandy, I'm loving the Norn! I wish I had that face. They should hang out with Triad's race (which is a pain to spell out) some time. All-female races unite! Edited September 29, 2012 by Zepher Quote

Is it weird that this class sounds cool? >_< There go my plans for the Utilitarian Ethicist EC. And Zeph, there really is no excuse, you MUST Bricklink an original Barriss Offee now. I've been pestering you to use the torso for Wren for months now, and now that you want the Norns and the Acerpusculum together, you have no excuse anymore not to do it. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I love the twist Sandy! They're so cute together! I knew that's the angle you were going with, but I didn't know you'd take it all the way! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Palathadric Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) I dig the new Tesni! I don't know what's with me and the new looks of characters, but I despise this new look. Honestly! I don't know why. skeptic: Maybe I'm not adaptable to change. In general, I like character's first look the best. Oh, for the days when Thormanil was his old self! ...no offense intended. Certainly none taken on my end! Which iteration of Thorm were you thinking of? or The left one (courtesy of Masked) was how I originally envisioned him, though I didn't have any of my parts/figs with me at the time. The second version came after I picked up a few little sets across a couple of themes, and was able to piece together a slightly more aggressive Thormy, as well as display his shiny new axes. If anything, the current Thorm and revised outfit for when he goes Raider are truer to Thorm's old self (I really feel like that print captures a calm confidence, with a dash of smugness). It's probably just because of the Bright Armor (well, almost matched the piece) and the hood that he looks so different. Edit: I rather like Tesni's new look. The only thing about the picture that sort of bothers me is how much light reflection there is, it makes her look like she's been laminated The fig itself though looks great! The use of the tan Barriss and Luminara faces now has me wondering if the Shaman King uses the old Bib Fortuna face. Quote
