Sandy Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 Man, that is one of the coolest enemies I've seen so far. Any chance of a high-res image, Sandy? Sure! I quite like how it turned it out myself as well. But the Aquaphant is not the only one of its kind, he's got cousins elsewhere on the Fields: the Igniphant and the Electriphant. ;) Quote
Endgame Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) Elephants everywhere! What peice is their "crowns"? Edited October 14, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Sandy Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 What peice is their "crowns"? The pieces are the "keystones" from the Atlantis-theme. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 You can kill the elephant or admit you just roleplayed. It's not roleplaying. In real life, I (Brickdoctor) do like elephants. If Bartholomew were to refuse to kill the Aquaphant, it would be allowing out-of-character knowledge to affect in-character decisions, not roleplaying. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Somebody's wishing right now that they had waiting for Monk Pretzel to return from his quest before posting the sign-ups for their own, eh? What does it mean when it says, in the "users reading topic" area "Facebook (5)"? Does that mean that five people are reading it somehow via facebook, or what? Quote
Endgame Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Somebody's wishing right now that they had waiting for Monk Pretzel to return from his quest before posting the sign-ups for their own, eh? That sentence is gramatically butchered. Facebook is always watching. Always. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That sentence is gramatically butchered. It's a package deal. Face it. Sandy, I'm not sure if you saw the bedroll discussion. Maybe I missed a post of yours there but I really don't think it's a good idea to allow heroes to exchange bedrolls. Everyone should be able to pay 5 gold for a bedroll. Quote
Sandy Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Sandy, I'm not sure if you saw the bedroll discussion. Maybe I missed a post of yours there but I really don't think it's a good idea to allow heroes to exchange bedrolls. Everyone should be able to pay 5 gold for a bedroll. It's a minor issue, really. In the case of the Unlimited Quest, the party just rested in the Sanctuary for the second time in a row. In normal quests, when there's a chance to rest, a QM might want to declare its one time only, so that there can be no "sharing bedrolls" - although that springs up new possibilities for roleplaying... ;P Bedroll is an item that can be given away just like any other item. I see no logical way to forbid it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Bedroll is an item that can be given away just like any other item. I see no logical way to forbid it. Magic Bedrolls. Quote
CMP Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Magic Bedrolls. So they have to recharge after each use? Wouldn't that be called a Cursed Bedroll, because it's less useful? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 They do kinda heal wounds and stuff, I'm just saying. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I'm just saying that this is an RPG with magic in it - if you want to make a small change like this to an item to better balance it, it doesn't have to make perfect sense in-game. Quote
Zepher Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Oh, good, I'm not the only one who can't keep straight which brother is wearing which color, and which brother is the rightful ruler. Quote
Zepher Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Well, Boomingham got it wrong. You can have your NPCs correct him. He's distracted and doesn't always pay attention anyway. Quote
Flipz Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Aw, darn, How to Train Your Dragon is locked to the shelf. I was hoping the Heroes could bring it back with them. Someone bring all the other books! Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Aw, darn, How to Train Your Dragon is locked to the shelf. I was hoping the Heroes could bring it back with them. Someone bring all the other books! Hey Thothwick called dibs on them, you can borrow them when he's finished. And if you ask nicely. Quote
Flipz Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 It's really great to see the original Veterans coming into play in the present--first the Doomsayer, and now Yuliana Tiamateus, the Golden Dragon. It makes me realize that Heroica really is larger than we've gotten to see so far, that there are main plots and people that we haven't even touched yet. Incidentally, will Yuliana's identity be included in the official Quest record, or will it be hidden, only knowable by speaking to one of the Heroes who is currently on the Quest? (Not that they'll be hard to find, but still. ) Also, what part was used for Yuliana's face? Also, Zepher, was Constance deliberately based on the Golden Dragon, or was that just a happy coincidence? The Lady Luck was mentioned as well back in Violetta the Cat Burglar's quest. Incidentally, will Yuliana's identity be included in the official Quest record, or will it be hidden, only knowable by speaking to one of the Heroes who is currently on the Quest? (Not that they'll be hard to find, but still. ) Also, what part was used for Yuliana's face? "Official quest record"? You mean what's written in Byblos's fictional library? I guess... XD I actually don't remembed where I got the head from, but it's double-sided with a smiling face on the other side. Quote
Flipz Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 @Sandy: Just checking; after all, the Library says their original identities are a "closely guarded secret". @Quest 42: Pretzel/Erdy shippers, go go go! I officially name this union "Erdzel". Quote
Etzel Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I actually don't remembed where I got the head from, but it's double-sided with a smiling face on the other side. Looks like this one: From Kingdoms Mill Village Raid Quote
Zepher Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 CMP. I think Boomingham and Atramor should hang out more often. Quote
