Palathadric Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Also if Isabella really has the heavy armour equipped, then her SP should be a lot higher than it is. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be in her "Equipment" or her "Inventory" though. Quote
Endgame Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Also if Isabella really has the heavy armour equipped, then her SP should be a lot higher than it is. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be in her "Equipment" or her "Inventory" though. Dharkan never posted in the Heroica Statistics topic, so I have no idea what is equipped and what isn't. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it (or, in other words, reach our first battle. ) Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 She can't equip the Heavy Armour. Actually I believe she has Encumbering Armor (it was originally named Heavy Armor/Golden Armor but was renamed to avoid confusion) and if it is so, then she can equip it. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I am trying my hardest, slipping an Avengers quote in. Quote
Endgame Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) Well, it didn't take much time for the action to get underfoot. You'll be seeing a lot of the Gladius Unit. Edited October 21, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Out of curiosity, Capt, how is the NPC battles decided? Dice roll, or have you rigged a specific opponent you'd like me to face? I have a feeling I'll be toe to toe with Metaltooth in the semifinals... Some were deliberately chosen, some were just random, for example, I randomly chose you fighting Carlos, instead of the other guy. He was Daniel, the Princess's fiance. But we all know who you're facing next. Quote

Etzel Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I'm doing some shameless self-promotion here. I've posted my Sanctuary MOC that features in my quest over at the Historic theme forum, here. It turned out quite much bigger than I had planned from the beginning... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 When a MOC is that good, it's not shameless! Quote
Flipz Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Hey, can I suggest that a Hero's "current status" be added to the Hero Statistics? I.E., "Arthur Justus Regulus VII (played by Flipz, currently [in the Hall/On Quest #])" Quote
Endgame Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Okay (not ok-ey)-dokey, 48ers, first battle is a-go. Hopefully this is more balanced then 46. Quote
Zepher Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Already seeing some nice effects and abilities in 48. I may have to steal some for my future quests. Etzel, got to continue to compliment you for building the Paladin Order into such a complex order. It's interesting that it's the only advanced class with so much background. It gives those people so much to RP off of. Perhaps so day someone else will do some other sort of order investigation. Quote
Zepher Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Separate comment for a separate thought - Endgame, you are too kind as a QM in some regards. Negative effects should not be removable at any cost of ether. Remedies are in the game. Heroes should stock up on them. It is an underused item, and people should begin to invest in them. It is their fault if they do not have them, not your fault. Quote
Endgame Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I know, but I want to run those pesky ether users dry. Quote

It's purely selfish reasons, with Maurice being a paladin. I had planned for my character to join the Paladin Order since I read Sandy's small note about them in the description on Ennoc in the Library. Naturally I wanted to build up a backstory for him and then all of the Order kind of came with that. I guess I should write down more about my ideas of it so others could use them as well, but I'm not objecting to people using their own ideas for the Paladin Order either, it's not like I hold monopoly on them. I would like to explore other sides of Eubric too. Has anyone done anything with the Catheadral of Commerce? It's supposed to be the biggest and most important place of worship in Eubric but I haven't heard much about it. Would be fun to build something that would be more or less the opposite of the Temple of Ennoc. Quote

Skrall shuffles past the pair taking the lead towards the Archaeologist's, it hadn't been so long ago that he had had to endure many a similar argument and he didn't wish to be reminded of them. Is that referring to Arthur in Dastan? Edited October 23, 2012 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I'm starting to fear that Boomingham may kill everyone. He was so merry for a while. I think being a hero is wearing on him. And I'm only half joking. Seriously, Boomingham is getting unintentionally nasty, and I also seriously can't figure out why. It scares me a little to have a character who I can talk that way about. I usually call BS when I hear about people who have "characters who write themselves" but Boomingham got to that point a while ago... and I love it. Quote
JimBee Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Really nice roleplaying there, Zeph. I realized that I "hear" Boomingham's voice as Daniel Day Lewis' character in "There Will Be Blood". Very gruff-sounding, I guess. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Is that referring to Arthur in Dastan? Don't feel bad, it's from before Skrall joined Heroica. Quote

See, that's what I was feeling with Arthur in Dastan. I wish I still had that drive for Arthur, but I lost it sometime during the forum shutdown. You have no idea how much I'm counting on Wren to bring him back up to form and send him on to the next part of his journey. Quote
CMP Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Yeah, that was some awesome roleplaying. Most of the time it's a character's reaction to a surprising situation just seems to write itself, when you can't possibly account for 'what would your character do'. And don't change Boomingham, I'm liking him as a rather aggressively repressed war veteran paladin. Especially because this how I've always pictured Atramor, getting somewhat justified hate from all angles. Quote
