Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Garlin, how you make me laugh. Too much serious role-playing going on, not enough comic breaking down the door and get things moving stuff. Quote
Zepher Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hey, now, I've been bolding the "party moves on" actions for a while. I think Scuba has been building sets. A QMs lament, right? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hey, now, I've been bolding the "party moves on" actions for a while. I think Scuba has been building sets. A QMs lament, right? Rule #1 of QMing always build as many sets as possible before hand. But seriously, I think he mentioned that he had to rebuild everything due to camera issues so the pause is understandable. Quote
Zepher Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Oh yes. It took me four quests (two of which my camera crapped out on me during) before I realized you need a majority of the sets built beforehand. I'm not complaining, but I am trying to fill the space. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Update tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my last exam, so things should move a little smoother. Quote
Zepher Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 That's alright. Speaking of which... NPC index will be updating throughout the week. It's been a long time, but I should be able to get it done in about 7 days. Work will start tonight. ALSO: Zoot zoot zoot! Just caught up in 44. Wren doesn't seem quite as powerful now, does she? Bit dwarfed by this army. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I feel this quest has given Guts so much more credibility for his beliefs, you know: The poor can't decide for themselves, dragons are bastards, elves are arrogant, mages are dangerous. It's good. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 In addition to not counting as a target, does blind scroll only last 2 rounds now? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Endgame Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) No, the round you use it counts as a round subtracted from the 3: so if you cast it at the end of a battle order, you're really wasting a round of blindness Edited October 24, 2012 by Endgame Quote
CMP Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 No, the round you use it counts as a round subtracted from the 3: so if you cast it at the end of a battle order, you're really wasting a round of blindness I don't think that's how it's worked in the past. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 It's not. It works three rounds plus the rest of the round. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I was actually confused about it too in the past, but this is just the simplest way to do it, I think. Quote
Endgame Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Well, the Great and Mighty Dictator Sandy (from the writeboard. ) Is on, so perphaps he could clarify this a bit? Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I think that Guts is my new favourite character. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Anyone feel like doing a compilation of boss battle heroic monologues? Quote
Endgame Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I'll do it when 48's boss gets his, sure! Quote
Zepher Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 A quick poll - I think it would be easier to organize, search, and (for me) edit the index if, instead of going alphabetically, it went in order of appearance. Each of the quests would have an entry - characters would be sorted by "Quest first appeared in". At the top would be a directory. Does this sound easier or harder to navigate? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I'll do it when 48's boss gets his, sure! No, I meant hero monologues, we all know the main boss gets their own monologue. Quote
Sandy Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Well, the Great and Mighty Dictator Sandy (from the writeboard. ) Is on, so perphaps he could clarify this a bit? Scubadoo got it right: It's not. It works three rounds plus the rest of the round. This applies to all effects that work for a specific amount of rounds (except the Shield-skills Sentinel and Guardian Angel that only work on the following round). Quote

Sounds perfectly fine to me. Do whichever feels best for you, we who are just taking advantage of your hard work can survive a little searching. I can give you bios for my new NPCs after the quest is done Quote

I'm not sure, but to me it sounds harder. But if you put the alphabetic listing I suggested on top of the index, and then the "order of appearance" for the entries, it might work. Quote
Zepher Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 As it grows, I think this would be beneficial. I will save a copy of the old one, just in case, and will be able to restore it if the new version is not appealing. Quote
