Endgame Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Moments like that will be coming, don't worry. Quote
CMP Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Right now this Quest could use more Proggsbane-like components, and if you can convince the players to roleplay more/roleplay more consciously, all the better! Yeah. Make really cool new items, use them as an in-game reward for roleplaying with NPCs, then hint at it until the heroes take the bait and start conversations with all of them. Loot, NPC background, and blackmailing your Quest's party to roleplay all at once. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I think we should come up with mechanics for snark battles. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Endgame Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 There, that incentive enough for you? You exposed my miniboss early through pure snark. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 (edited) Well, actually that kind of sucks for us right now. I still have to heal Lycan and Elgar. Next round would have been better for me... whoops. I feel like telling him he lost the snark battle. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited October 31, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Endgame Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Uh, capn, can you elaborate on the Handcannon special? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Is the Fantome's health more convenient for you Endgame? Endgame, the Handcannon special: A dice is rolled. 1,2, or 3, means you lose 10 health, 4, 5, or 6 means you are KO'd instantly. Quote
Endgame Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Yes, it is! I wonder what caused him to get so much more... fleshy. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Is the Fantome's health more convenient for you Endgame? What the devil happened to him that he got so weak between 37 and 47. He can't have aged that much. He has only half the power now. Etzel, I am fascinated by the turn your quest has taken. Really excited in seeing how it plays out Quote
Flipz Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Quest 44 is basically failed already, I think. The Heroes have a choice between making all Heroes who could POSSIBLY deal area-damage sit the Round out (and thus taking a bunch of Free Hits that will KO most of the party), or else killing Shaun. Wait...the Pheles rod was Mechanic. Shouldn't that make it completely immune to a Wind spell, thus meaning it's still there? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Why so Negative? A Crit from Namyrra will take sycamore right out, a hit will leave her at 5 health. If we do solid tactics, we only take a few free hits. I think we'll be fine. Don't worry too much, we've got this. Wait...the Pheles rod was Mechanic. Shouldn't that make it completely immune to a Wind spell, thus meaning it's still there? Quote
Sandy Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 Happy Halloween, everyone! To properly celebrate that, the magic merchant Elphaba has returned to the Marketplace, bringing with her a few new merchandise. Wait...the Pheles rod was Mechanic. Shouldn't that make it completely immune to a Wind spell, thus meaning it's still there? Oh my, you're right! You can blame me for only checking the elemental strengths of the wind-attack and not what it is ineffective against. And yes, I still have to check those almost every time... Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Elphaba is selling 50 Shades of Bley. Gotta get 1000 gold by the end of november. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Wait...the Pheles rod was Mechanic. Shouldn't that make it completely immune to a Wind spell, thus meaning it's still there? Next time, Sshhhh! Elphaba is selling 50 Shades of Bley. Gotta get 1000 gold by the end of november. Maybe the bank of Guts will give you a loan? Quote
CMP Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Maybe the bank of Guts will give you a loan? I don't think Guts is the type to do that. He'll probably buy three copies and sell them at 2000 gold apiece once Elphaba is gone. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Now that seems like a good idea. Profit on a parody of one of the most atrocious pieces of literature (it's right after the last Harry Potter), that seems like a plan I could have thought up. Guts might be willing to give out loans, but it's probably not a good idea, for you, I mean. Guts would charge 25% interest, and the borrower would have to agree with the fact that any and all gold would go directly to Guts, all equipment and items that are not strictly neccasary would either have to be sold for gold, or given to Guts depending if Guts wants it. Yeah, you would have a hard time. Quote
CMP Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I'm kind of surprised, Health Cores aren't as nearly as expensive as I thought. Quote
Zepher Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Scuba, any chance we'll return by the end of November? I have yet to be in town the same time as Elphaba. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 No. But Guts can buy what you need, if really neccasary. Quote
Zepher Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Aw, that's alright. Was just wondering, but I should probably upgrade my weapons and not keep buying gems for them anyway. You're probably doing me a favor. Quote
CMP Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 (edited) Was just wondering, but I should probably upgrade my weapons and not keep buying gems for them anyway. Pfft. Weapon power is irrelevant if you have a giant elemental multiplier. I wanna roll Special Mirror soooooo badly this battle. Edited October 31, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Dang. I have to get 1000 gold to become Harlot!? I hope the other classes cost that much to become. Quote
