Brickdoctor Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Yeah, we'll have to sell it to a cleric when we get back ah well. So do these count as magical creatures Masked Builder, or just demented nuisances? *Pun intended* Unless you face enough enemies for one of you to hit Level 15. Quote
Zepher Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I like riddles too! And Lady Wren loves to play with the heroes! Also, my show finally closed (this week was tech week, and so I had rehearsal for hours after school everyday) and my college application looks pretty good at this point (only a week to go!) so I should be able to finish up the quest pretty quickly! Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Sandy, Zepher's Sentinel action says it will protect the party from physical damage. But will my Water Monster's special effect do anything?: Target loses 8 health and is transferred to ally or itself. Would the damage still be transferred? Or would the heroes not take damage- but the monster gains health? Quote
Sandy Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Sandy, Zepher's Sentinel action says it will protect the party from physical damage. But will my Water Monster's special effect do anything?: Target loses 8 health and is transferred to ally or itself. Would the damage still be transferred? Or would the heroes not take damage- but the monster gains health? The Sentinel protects the party from all loss of health, so the monsters special will fail, and it will not gain back its health. The Sentinel does not protect from negative statuses. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 "Dementor? What's this? Harry Potter!" "They have done other thing sir, and what's Harry Potter?" "Sorry, I broke down the fourth wall again." Your character(s) are poised to challenge Cronk as my favorite character in the game. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Your character(s) are poised to challenge Cronk as my favorite character in the game. I will say Finnegan is kinda like an old guy. Talking sense into you or screaming at you to get off of his lawn. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 That one seems familiar... Sorry but I wanted him to drop a cloak and the ones you made are perfect. Yeah, we'll have to sell it to a cleric when we get back ah well. *Cough cough* So do these count as magical creatures Masked Builder, or just demented nuisances? *Pun intended* They count as creatures to me. Jedi master Brick Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 (edited) Torture people? Exactly Is it the mixing a riddle ? Edited October 23, 2011 by Jedi master Brick Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Exactly Is it the mixing a riddle ? It is of sorts. There is a method to the madness and rewards if you're going in the right direction, but consequences if you aren't. Someone just put the combination in Bold when you want to try something. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Hey Waterbrick. You forgot to put in an order of actions in Quest #9. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Taken care of. Give the ogre a break he's pushin' 80 you know Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 So Waterbrick, Am I on the right track? Quote
Chromeknight Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 (edited) Why?! Why, waterbrick down, must you get us to make an essence of obsidian?! There is a method to the madness and rewards if you're going in the right direction, but consequences if you aren't. So Waterbrick, Am I on the right track? A bit of maths on the back of a napkin shows there are only 20 combinations (I've assumed that order is unimportant and repetitions are not allowed) Sounds like a puzzle that's challenging without being overwhelming. In response to soccerkid As for the significance of first letters making words, that would mean that order was important, which blows the possibilities out to 120! The fact that there's only one vowel (Ennonian Rose Petals) also weighs against the theory, since every potion would need rose petals to make a valid English word. On the plus side, to make up all 20 combinations you only need to restock at most 3 times (30 gold). And at least one of the products of experimentation is obsidian potion, which is 350 gold, you're going to come out ahead. Good luck guys! Edited October 23, 2011 by Chromeknight Quote
Etzel Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'm looking forward to my next battle round, so far I've had 5 and not managed to hit an enemy a single time! If this doesn't change soon I must consider the possibilities of being cursed or have chosen the wrong deity. Quote

Makes sense, however the word GEM might hold some possibilities... I guess we will see, and like you said we are definitely better off than to have bought it at full price. And it is possible that we will make something else that is useful. We get to keep whatever we make. Quote

Give the ogre a break he's pushin' 80 you know Remaining ingredients: Ennonian Rose Petals - 2 left Powdered Super Scarab Shell - 2 left Mopagian Pale Root - 2 left Waldruk Pine Nettles - 2 left Crushed Chimera Hoof - 2 left Ground Golem's Kidney - 2 left What combination will the Party try next? I don't want to be a butinski, but I think the count is wrong, there should be 3 Golem kidneys left, and only 1 Chimera Hoof... Perhaps the shopkeeper is as old as Skrall? Quote

JimBee Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hm, I'm liking all of these opportunities to have armor for classes other than Knights. Perhaps if there were an extra helmet or cloak a certain imp might be interested in buying one. Quote
