Aha, I would, but my shopping list is mostly based around Elphaba's wares. Alas!

Worst case scenario you sell your Fighter's Boots to Fabian and buy it back when you have the gold.

Endgame, Johon should have 26 health. Druids heal the party only after they've revived all allies in Roots of Life.

I'm very excited to see Tarn roleplay again! Gotta say that I missed the guy!

Speaking of which, I'm afraid we're getting to the point of the game where players may lose interest and their characters may disappear without explanation or a trace. Where is Jess, or Hoke? I miss them both. Jebs is MIA currently too. I do hope we don't lose characters too much, and those who do lose interest at least write a decent conclusion, even if it's just their character leaving the hall for some reason (that way they could return if they ever [hopefully] decided to).

 No, I'm probably going to delay the deadline until at least Quest 44 finishes.

On the one hand, I'm really happy for that, since now Arthur has a chance to (possibly) Quest with De'kra and Hybros; on the other, I'm sad, because Arthur's plan to help Thormanil run an extortion scheme is ruined.

EDIT: And Nerwen, and Thothwick, I REALLY want a chance to talk more with those two. Nerwen in particular might help Arthur grow softer in some ways, particularly if De'kra is involved.

...I just realized I've basically named half of the people from Dastan that Arthur hasn't yet had major interactions with. Those Quests really were a magnet for people with great stories to tell, like most of Zepher and Doc and JimB's Quests, actually.

Wait for 47 to end too! I REALLY want to go on quest 52.

Extortion? Sarge would want a part of that. Edited by Skyrimguy

Can this statistic be posted on the wall of the Hall or in the Hero Statistics? I missed it sometimes already. (Or is it somewhere already?)

You asked earlier where to post your character information. You need to post your statistics (power, health, inventory etc.) to the Hero Statistics topic and introduce your character (meaning you need to make a post as the character) in the Heroica Hall topic.

Well, I think you misunderstood me. I was not talking about my Hero Statistic but about the statistics, WBD had posted before:

My collection is also at your disposal should you need it. Additionally, if you would like to take it into consideration, here's the numbers as they currently stand according to the player statistics thread (note that while a majority of active players are represented here, not all have posted in this topic).

By Sex:

41 Males

9 Females

2 Unknowns

By Race:

27 Humans

10 Elves

2 Unknowns

1 Fenarian, Half-elf, Hermit, Giant, Imp, Metasimian, Naga, Ogre, Orc, Undead, Vampire, Werewolf, Yeti

By Basic Class:

14 Rogues

12 Mages

9 Barbarians

7 Clerics

7 Rangers

4 Knights

(snip)

The most represented Character type are: 6 Male Human Barbarians tied with 6 Male Human Rogue

I think, it would be very interesting to have an overview over all existing heros like that anywhere. While I do not know how you guys organize Heroica and if you are running a database filled with information (I suppose you do), I created my own table with statistic. It is just a beginning and it cannot replace the infos given in the Hall and the Hero Statistics (yet) but I think it adds some information. If you are interested, I could work on it a bit more to have a database with heros, which could eventually be updated by the players self and contain the complete Hero Statistics with a graphic output (php generated png) or something like that. (Never did that before, but it would be interesting to learn, I think)

Enough talking, for the friends of numbers - here are some:

87 Heros have signed up in the Hall so far, from which 52 have posted their statistic in the Hero Statistic thread. We have 69 male, 16 female and 2 unknown gender which makes a very male dominated community of 79.3% male population. The only females are human (11), elven (4) or fanarian (1). Within the elven race the female quota is 40%, within the human race it is exactly 25%.

Most popular races (does not differ too much from the statistics above):

  1. humans (44 / 50.6%)
  2. elfs (10 / 11.5%)
  3. orcs (4 / 4.6%)
  4. dwarfs (3 / 3.4%)

Basic Classes

  1. Rogue (20 / 23%)
  2. Knight (17 / 19.5%)
  3. Mage (16 / 18.4%)
  4. Barbarian (15 / 17.2%)
  5. Ranger (10 / 11.5%)
  6. Cleric (9 / 10.3%)

As we see this differs much more from the players who have "reported" in the Hero Statistics thread (and can be considered as more active or at least more actual):

  1. Rogue (14 / 26.9% of all who reported / 70% of all Rogues have reported)
  2. Mage (11 / 21.2% / 69%)
  3. Barbarian (9 / 17.3% / 60%)
  4. Cleric (8 / 15.4% / 89%)
  5. Ranger (6 / 11.5% / 60%)
  6. Knight (4 / 7.7% / 23.5%)

As we see, the Knights seem to loose interest in playing the game very soon. Only half of the Knights that signed up have actually completed a quest (52.9%). And just 6 Knights have completed more than one quest so far (35.3%).

This can lead to one out of two conclusions:

  1. Newbies tend to choose the Knight class, without willing to participate seriously.
  2. Something in the Knight class is out of balance, so it is not so much fun, playing a Knight.

I think it is rather the former as most Knights did not even start to play, while those who started to participate (those 6) are in high levels now (Level 11 up to Level 24, four of them being in an advanced Job Class).

This so far, more to come up, if anyone is interested.

Thanks, PsyKater! Great to see such involvement from a lurker. I actually do keep an Excel-file with some statistics in it, but I don't remember when I last updated it...

As for planning future quests, do not be afraid to involve the main factions into them - I will tell you if there's something that's unsuitable to my plans, after all. And Zepher, I will reply to your PM as soon as possible. I glanced over it, and it looks just wonderful.

And about the quest lengths... Well, Quest#44 was planned as a very short quest, but with that many players I need time to both wait for the results and tally them. But I predict it will be over by the end of this week, regardless.

As you've probably noticed, 48ers, I usually update a battle once in the morning and once or twice in the noon/night. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get these morning updates off the ground for the past two days: been a busy week! I'll run at least 2 rounds of the Rhodus battle today, I promise.

Well, I think, I needed some numbers to help me decide how my character should be.

Speaking of my character, may I draw everyone's attention (esp. of those who offered to create my minifigure) to this MCW-Thread of mine: Wanted: Heroica Character

I hope I do not annoy anyone that way. I will really appreciate your contribution! Thank you in advance! (and out)

Thanks Zeph, I appreciate the kind words about Tarn's roleplay, such as it is

I'm waiting for Quest#44 to finish too. I know Guts and hopefully some others will want to go on Quest#52 :classic:

Don't worry, I've been quite busy too, and this is a more complicated battle than the arena... (because he can actually touch us. :poke: )

Elphaba doesn't carry Diamonds every day, and Diamonds are a spellcaster's second-best friend, after all."

Guts: "I'm pretty sure the saying said women. Oh well, I've always said mages are a bunch of girls."

Well I must say PSYKater, A capt Carrot type of character would be brilliant! If anyone has read the City watch Terry Pratchett books, you will know carrot. He is a 7 ft bulk of a man. Though aged at about 18-23, he was raised as a dwarf (Who go into puberty around 53) and is completely innocent. He takes everything literally, as dwarves don't understand figures of speech! I shall leave the making of the character up to you. But this is , I feel, an awesome character personality.

Endgame, I thought Alex's Holy Guardian protected us from his attacks (damage and negative effects).

From last round: ">Alex VS Rhodus B (front): Shield: Guardian Angel!"

Oh, and they're all "Rhodus A"

..Deeeeerrrrrrrrp.

I thought Guardian Angel worked like Sentinel did (Physcial damage protected only) except the user wasn't stunned. I didn't realize it was all damage.

Welp, looks like Rhodus just made his weapon kamikaze.

I will start to include more of the major factions. I also look forward to your specific feedback on the quest. It's always super helpful! I'll need to send you items/samples of enemy stats once we get closer for approval! :grin_wub:

Lol, that's alright! I'm totally fine with his weapon gone  . I guess the post you made earlier wasn't in-character then?

Oh, and I should probably warn you: I'm making another colour-coded battle order. :devil_laugh:

...What post? :look:

Also, am I the only one who thinks it is a tad OP for all heroes to be revived then healed? i think it'd be more balanced to make it 1 HP only when revived - and not because I want to make Sylph suffer!

Oh no, that is just something for Alex to RP with Rhodus about.

Proggs are usually strictly atheist. Considering they no exactly where they come from, they have no need for a religion.

Also, no! My worst enemy: CC Battle Orders!
