Brickdoctor Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Really? Powdered super scarab shell? I'm glad that my scarab is becoming famous throughout the Heroica world! Hey, and there's Mopagian Root! Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Hey, and there's Mopagian Root! That doesn't mean a thing! And the Scarab came first. Edited October 24, 2011 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote
CMP Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 There should also be 2 Powdered Scarab Shell and only 1 Mopagian Root. I'd apologize for sounding overly annoying for pointing this out, but I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out these ingredients. And it probably doesn't even matter. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Sorry, problem fixed I should be keeping better track of this. For pointing that out, I'll let you know that you're overthinking the riddle. This is a RPG quest not a chemistry course, though that gives me ideas for later quests Keep trying Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Atramor gazes into the vial of Essence of Obsidian, the liquid inside is of average viscosity, average volatility, average weight, average density, average refractive index, average flammability, average polarizability, average solubility, and is colored an average black. That is the funniest substance I have ever heard of! Average flammability? What, is it moderatly flammable? And don't even get me started on 'average polarizability'. East Pole, anyone? Hey, that gives me an idea for a Quest........ The quest for the Mysterious East Pole! Quote

Milne I think Christopher Robin beat you there. Pooh is a Knight. (again see books) but I wonder what Piglet is. A mage? Kanga is the cleric, she's the one that bandages everyone up. And Tigger is the Rogue... Quote

And Tigger would be a Rogue, most definitely. Piglet, probably a Mage or a Ranger. Quote

Piglet, probably a Mage or a Ranger. (wiki-fu....) Apologies, yes. It is the North Pole they go searching for. But since we're talking poles, as well as linear polarization there's circular polarization which is either left or right handed. Anyways, Perhaps Owl is the Mage. He can spell Tuesday after all. Fred Daniel Yam Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Is my theory about the colours correct??? Quote
Etzel Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I believe a mistake have slipped in the riddle for Quest #7 the Arena: Hurrah! There is someone is holding Cell D One of the Above Statements is a lie There is someone in holding Cell D The Fox and Hen are married One of the Above Statements is a lie The Fox and Hen are married The Goat makes cheese One of the Above Statements is a lie The Fox and Hen are married There is someone in holding Cell E Cronk is my favorite One of the Above Statements is a lie Docken's Eyepatch is fake Jess and Haldor will not end up together No two heroes are held across from each other One of the Above Statements is a Lie Docken's Eyepatch is fake The goat makes cheese Jess and Haldor will end up together One of the Above Statments is a lie There is someone in holding Cell B There is someone in holding Cell C The Fox and Hen are married One of the Above Statments is a Lie There is someone in Holding Cell C Cronk is my Favorite The Fox and Hen are married One of the Above Statements is a lie D-E C-F B-G A-H Lies struck out, truths in italics, cells with confirmed heroes in them in bold and underlined, cells without heroes in them struck out. I forgot to do this last time, but since we know that 'The goat makes cheese' is a lie, 'Docken's eyepatch is fake' and 'Jess and Haldor will not end up together' must be truths, therefore, 'No two heroes are held across from each other' is a lie, so I open Holding Cell F. If the statement "Jess and Haldor will end up together" is true, shouldn't the statement "Jess and Haldor will not end up together" be false? And therefore making the statement "No two heroes are held across from each other" be true? But since there happened to be a hero in cell F I guess that means the "not" wasn't supposed to be there? Rumble Strike Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I am already loving Jebediah's Quest. The Gnome looks very much like Rick Moranis with a big bushy beard, good job! And yes, I am finding the fact that the Quests are having some riddles in very good. Combat is OK but it's nice to come up against puzzles too. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I am really digging the interplay between Maurice and Nur, great work guys. Creating plot points out of random game events (the battle die) to further the story progression of your characters is superb. Quote

Unfortunately I'm not too good at solving (or creating) them. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Man, I really though the rock monsters would be dealt with. 3 rounds with just one monster? Though nothing can beat the Super Scarab.... right? Riiiiiiighhhhtt? Someone should make a quest involving a Super, Super Scarab. Edited October 24, 2011 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Someone should make a quest involving a Super, Super Scarab. I spy the plot for 'Sacred Sands: Part 2"! Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) To those interested, here's the spreadsheet that determined what happened with the chemistry mixtures in Quest #11. The only thing that's different is the Nostrum and the smelling salts are switched for color consistency reasons. to Pie for finally breaking the code, though if Soccerkid6 had posted first, you would have had to start all over again Edited October 24, 2011 by Waterbrick Down Quote
CMP Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 It was William's Mead and Salts combination that gave me the answer. It's a cool riddle that should've been easy. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Good thing, I went after Atramor. I guess alls well that ends well. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 It was William's Mead and Salts combination that gave me the answer. It's a cool riddle that should've been easy. I am the alchemist supreme! Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Just be glad Pie found the answer when he did, taking advantage of the QM's system via overstocking on Meads and Smelling Salts could have had dangerous consequences On a second note, if the Party in Quest 11 wishes to revisit a shop at anytime, they can do so. The hope was that you would have money to spend by the time you made it to the Apothecary, but thus is the fate of a railroadless (to a degree ) RPG. Quote
Zepher Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Let's try to not make Quest & the Cronk Docken Hybros show! I know it's been long but you're almost done, make sure to have fun with the time you've got! Corny, Doctor, JimButcher, thanks for keeping it flowing! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Let's try to not make Quest & the Cronk Docken Hybros show! It's okay! Quest 8 is the Cronk - Docken - Hybros (and Phil) show. Quest & doesn't have to be taken over by Cronk and Co. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Cronk just wants to get out of there so he can get his own sword and shield back. And maybe get in one of these new quests that are handing out cool new items such as helmets like they're candy. Seriously, though, it's been a good quest. And Cronk's still trying to figure out the Clerics ramblings. If we don't get it by the end, you have to tell us what it means. Quote
Zepher Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I will! But you want to figure it out! You'll get helmet candy as well! Quote
