That would be interesting, but I shudder at the thought of 9 elemental spirits of Finnegan running around.

I figured out how to solve that: the wand is worth around 900 Gold, and Althior has nine gems. Each gem is worth 100 Gold. We'll just charge him eight gems (other than the Aquamarine) for the wand, and split the gems among posades, Legonater and myself. We get gems; Althior gets the wand and can use its powers as an Evoker; Pie doesn't have to worry about all the Finnegans. Win-win-win!

Okay yeah, that wand is awesome. K-Nut, you really should get it, and then sell it to me.

Nah, you broke up with me, remember?

I'm not! :distressed:

Actually, K-Nut has a point. We shouldn't take eight gems.

We should take nine so we can split them up evenly.

This wand is tearing the group apart! Just give it to me so that you can all be friends...

Arthur would be a complete monster with that wand. Fortunately for you all, his Lens lets him do basically the same thing (though imagine if he used the wand and the Lens...

In any event, I've got other plans in mind for Arthur, so you can rest assured that I will not get involved in the inevitable bidding war over this particular item...:tongue:

Alright, Docken has his invincible shield, Rone has his lucky dice, Xander has his Precision bow, and what do I have? Some daggers I can't take advantage of and a few very common gems! :hmpf_bad::tongue:

what do I have?

You have Finnegan.

All joking aside, though, he really is an invaluable asset, I hope you realize that.

We still have the Aquamarines from the Aquaphant.

Also, we should probably actually win the battle before we decide what to charge for the loot.

Hey, Sandy, are you individually buiding each encounter in the Fields ("building" in a "determining what enemies will be in each battle" sense, you're obviously building everything in LEGO  ), or are you using some sort of random encounter table?

MegaBlokin' Aura!

See, that's the sort of thing that the profile status thing is for.

I think the enemies have been pre-made, and the number of them is dependent on the size/skill of the party, but I'm just guessing based on the Butterfly Fields. I hope I'm right, because it would help a ton planning trips into the Fields.

Well, yeah, but I mean, does Sandy decide "OK, this time I'll throw in a Death's Rose just for fun," or does he roll a die or something to see which enemies appear and then adjust the number of them to match the difficulty of the battle?

Posted

Yes, I do design each enemy party according to the situation, but each location has a selection of enemies I choose from. There's no die rolling involved, since I aim to a certain balance based on the difficulty level of the location.

Ouch, Sylph - I didn't think it'd end like that!

Sorry I've only been running one round a day, I've been dealing with life, school, weather stuff.

Ironic how it starts to snow the day after the Rhodus battle started, huh?

You know, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense: I definitely need better pictures of and/or instructions for Mephisto; I simply must build a replica to guard my room.

Ouch! I guess I can't direct my team's strategy because I'm all KOed and such, but, while Paladins heal, the don't remove bad effects from those they heal, and their Shield doesn't heal either, so you may go through remedies faster now that I'm gone. Strategically, healing me now would let me heal myself and attack, since I'm hastened, or healing me once he regenerates his sword would let you guys all focus on him while he's weak.

Actually, no; you lost your Hastened effect when you were Knocked out.
