JimBee Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 EDIT: Whoa! You managed to build ALL of the Heroes, Sandy! Quest 50 is going to be VERY interesting visually. Agreed, really awesome that you did that, Sandy. And great MOCs, too! Also, love that slave market MOC, Scuba. I'll echo Zepher by saying those techniques used for the wall are just great! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Yeah, I love the fact all the heroes are present in the pics, makes it even more immersive. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Agreed. It was great when DD did it, and it looks great here. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 The latest quests to start look brilliant . I really like it when quest masters put the heroes in the photos Quote
Flipz Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Agreed. It was great when DD did it, and it looks great here. Hmm...interestingly enough, Namyrra, and Tensi were both on that Quest as well...and so was Cinna, sort of. ( ) Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Wow Sandy, that does look good. I'm looking forward to what you do with the built heroes. It'd be cool if you start doing this with every quest. Quote
Sandy Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 EDIT: Whoa! You managed to build ALL of the Heroes, Sandy! Quest 50 is going to be VERY interesting visually. Not only that, I built friggin' 108 enemies for them to face over the course of this weekend. Here's a small sneak peek: Quote
Zepher Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Awesome! Super excited for this quest. It's an homage to a genre I gotta love. Quote
Scorpiox Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 You know, between undead and poison, Shaman just seems to be less and less appealing as a class. It doesn't have to be given a specific situation in order to be at a disadvantage--two of the most common elements in the game make it not just ineffective, but an actual liability to the party. *Begins running calculations to try and find if the Shaman has any positives that outweigh the negatives.* So, do you suggest that I change Haldor's advanced class? Oh Flipz, great writer of Walls of Text, could you provide guidence for me now? Quote
Zepher Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) Hope no one minds an NPC stopping by the Hall. He's just here to hype up Wren a little, and fill in a bit of information that people will need before the quest starts, and because I enjoy writing for him. It's happened before, right? I'm not breaking all the rules? Edited November 18, 2012 by Zepher Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 TOWER BATTLE TOWER BATTLE TOWER BATTLE!!!!11!!! So looking forward to it! Quote
Sandy Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Hope no one minds an NPC stopping by the Hall. He's just here to hype up Wren a little, and fill in a bit of information that people will need before the quest starts, and because I enjoy writing for him. It's happened before, right? I'm not breaking all the rules? It's allowed to write as an NPC - in modesty. And with a good reason, like you have. This is not a permission for everyone to start making up their own characters and pushing them into the Heroica Hall, mind you. Quote

I'm not breaking all the rules? I'm sure most won't mind; I've had Hoptet in there for months! Quote
Etzel Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I have a question that is totally unrelated to the ongoing battle in my quest. Uhm, does the Paladin's Guardian Angel in any way "protect" against the Shaman's Blood Ritual? Quote
Palathadric Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 27 years old male human Knight Christopher is a Paladin now. Quote
CMP Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) It's times like these that make me want to form a Witch's Union. No respect at all. "My word! Hoptet, you were correct! Another Witch, here, in Eubric. Something must be done..." And with that, the two Metasimians scurried off back to the Hall, Elphaba totally unaware they were there. Now I really need to form that union. Edited November 18, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Zepher Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Interesting question for EVERYONE (but particularly Sandy and WBD). What is the architecture of Eubric? How do you build buildings? What were you favorite builds in Eubric? Link to them for me, I've begun building the city for Quest #Final Wren Quest, and I want to make the architecture look consistent and like what people have liked in the past. EVERYONE, kindly think back to some of your favorite Eubric buildings, and tell me what they looked like/link to them. Quote
CMP Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Depends on where you're building for. Hovels, obviously, are going to look very different than the street next to Hinckwell Villa. Quote
Zepher Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Mixture! Just tell me some of your favorite buildings! Quote
Endgame Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) C'mon, take a sip of some Trial Brew, 48ers. You know you want to. Edited November 18, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) C'mon, take a sip of some Trial Brew, 48ers. You know you want to. QM Note: Willing to take a sip of the stuff, huh? I'll update the party when everyone gets a chance to go on a shopping spree. I know Sylph has had a 'no drinking stuff' policy in the past, but he knows what this does, and it fits his battle tactics well. As the healer and the scroll-reader, He doesn't anticipate needing to rely on his not-too-few HP, and has a grand tonic if things get hairy. Also, I missed out on XP last time. "that was good! Another!" ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited November 19, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Flipz Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Sorry about vanishing suddenly, I had to make an unexpected drive to a city two and a half hours away. Also, Etzel, I think that, since the Blood Ritual is a form of healing, the undead monster should have been harmed, just as it would have if Haldor had performed a "heal" or a "heal more". Interesting question for EVERYONE (but particularly Sandy and WBD). What is the architecture of Eubric? How do you build buildings? What were you favorite builds in Eubric? EVERYONE, kindly think back to some of your favorite Eubric buildings, and tell me what they looked like/link to them. I picture the Hall as one of the biggest indicators of Eubrician architecture, so you'll likely want to start there. (Unless, you know, you've already built it so that it can be destroyed in the "Final Battle". ) Obviously, WBD's two Quests are great places to look for architecture, and I daresay you'll want to include Triad Park, as well as at least one of the homes of the main Houses--and even if you don't, in my personal headcanon the other buildings around the main House homes tend to take on characteristics of the huge House mansions nearby anyway. Here's a list of links to my favorite buildings, in no particular order: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60417entry1079757 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=61359&st=25#entry1101068 (yes, it's an interior shot, but... ) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=61359&st=100#entry1102709 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60417&st=25#entry1079964 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59123 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59123entry1054365 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68458&st=25#entry1256879 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68458&st=350#entry1277539 (If I had to pick a favorite, this would be it) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69734entry1285650 (interior shot, but this one and the one below it give a good idea of Hinckwell architecture) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69734&st=25#entry1289335 (ditto, but I really like those columns) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68458entry1254244 (yes, another interior, but this really fits with my mental image of the general look of Eubric...) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66897&st=250#entry1234978 (...as does this...) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73006 (just look through all of the start, there seems to be a backdrop of Eubric in one of the photos...) Triad Park: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69736entry1287416 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69736entry1287416 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69736&st=25#entry1287945 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69736&st=50#entry1288894 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69736&st=100#entry1296538 you know what, you get the idea. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59104 (Shadeaux architecture) So, do you suggest that I change Haldor's advanced class? Oh Flipz, great writer of Walls of Text, could you provide guidence for me now? Give me a bit. Quote
Zepher Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Thank you, those were a lot of the buildings I was currently using for inspiration! I will send you a few images later tonight to see if you approve of the general look I've been developing! Quote
Etzel Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Also, Etzel, I think that, since the Blood Ritual is a form of healing, the undead monster should have been harmed, just as it would have if Haldor had performed a "heal" or a "heal more". No, it says: SHIELD: Blood Ritual - The shaman performs a rite that transfers health from an enemy to the ally with the lowest current health equal to the enemy's level added to the receiver's level. (e.g. Level 20 monster + Level 15 ally = 35 health transferred) If the enemy is undead the effect will be reversed. If the enemy is poisoned the receiver will be poisoned as well. This does not deplete ether. Question is weather or not a Paladin's Guardian Angel protects against an ally trying to perform a Blood ritual which will actually harm a party member. Quote
CMP Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Question is weather or not a Paladin's Guardian Angel protects against an ally trying to perform a Blood ritual which will actually harm a party member. If it's a form of damage, then Guardian Angel should protect from it, I think. Quote
