Waterbrick Down Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) I'll work on it!! I think Psykater said he wants a newbie quest, so I can make one, it will be part of the Croise story line, but just a little quest for the newer members, Awww I wanted the newbies, advanced classes are too much work. Brickdoctor Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I don't mind taking newbies, but if it wasn't an epic-length quest, it wouldn't be a Brickdoctor Quest. Quote
Etzel Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I think my next quest will have to wait until next year. To much stuff that needs to be done before x-mas. Quote

Endgame Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I'm sorry, B&P, but I had to railroad you onto the bridge there. You'll get a chance to strut your survivalist skills soon, promise! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) "Told'ja." Johon ties his arm around the rope, motioning the rest of the party to do the same. Then, rather than waiting for The progg to cut the rope, Johon cuts the rope preventing the party from most likely falling into the water. With the bridge cut in half, the party should only swing half the height. Is that legal? I'm confused. I thought the rope bridge was really long, and wouldn't we still be dangling beneath the Progg? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited November 29, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote

And no, that "pressurized air cannon" thing was not made just to deny Johon. It was a pretty cool idea, though! Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I haven't been in here for quite a long while and I took some moments to read the ongoing quests. Yes, I read it and even though I am unsure of the advanced game mechanics and I must admit it is really very intersting to read these interesting quests! Quote

Vash the Stampede Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Steak (WP:1, instantly kills vampires, suitable for all classes) I feel scared. Very scared. Does this work on PC's? Quote

Vash the Stampede Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Oh yes. Don't mess with the monk! Whether I do or not I can just see a certain someone coming up to me in the hall and hitting me with that. Although I technically would be fine if I avoid the arena. Quote
Flipz Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I feel scared. Very scared. Does this work on PC's? Nah, Heroes are made of tougher stuff. It's the same reason Darkness doesn't do double damage to Heroes. ...though I wouldn't test it out while on a Jebediahs quest, he tends to keep track of that sort of thing and add benefeits and penalties accordingly. Zepher Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Jebs is gone though. I think he was displeased that he didn't get to steal a scroll. As for the steak, vampires better not get extra protection. The item was made to kill vampires. There's only one of it. When it encounters a vampire, I want to see it work. It can't be upgradable though... can it? If it is, it's fantastic, because weapons that work for any class are game changers. You can change class willy-nilly with no consequence. Quote

Well, yeah, but I mean PCs should be immune to it for the same reason they don't gain the benefeits of the "undead" type, and for the same reason that Heroes don't take double damage from Darkness even though they're technically Humanoid. I am still an unknown Level 1. I will make time for it, if I can afford to commit. By then, I really hope there will be Quest Masters taking care of low level players like myself. Go for it! Just post some RP stuff in the Hall and wait for a Newbie Quest. (I hear there is something coming up ) After that you can decide if it is fun. (It will be) There are several players that only contribute 3 times a week. I think they have fun as well. Regarding the advanced game mechanism: You will learn it early enough I think. We low Lvl players do not have to think about it too strong. And it is not a shame to pause the game while you are not on a quest. Quote
Palathadric Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Was hoping to take a team of newbs out, so to speak, but I didn't realize how darn long it takes to build the MOCs I need for the quest! My collection of Lego bricks is not great and mainly 2 x 4 red bricks so I'm working with LDraw. I think my MOCs are too big, but it's fun making them. However, the length of time it takes to make the MOCs means that I have to do most of them in advance so I won't need to hold up the quest for ridiculous lengths of time. Quote
PsyKater Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) If newbie quest means that you take everything below Level 10 or even 15, then you all are free to host more newbie quests ;) When I look over the introductions posts in the "Hello"-forum, then I see a lot people stating that they are interested in joining Heroica. Maybe there are even enough "young" Heroes available to start two quests with small groups (3-4 each) in December. And some others in January (to develop those Heroes). If the Sarge was not attending your group, Palathadric, I am sure, he could not wait to see a new quest coming Edited November 29, 2012 by PsyKater Quote
Palathadric Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) If the ones mentioned, these are the only ones who have been active lately, some you can't really say that. Of these Nerwen, Rone, Galen, and Mizuki are all likely enough to be over Level 15 or, at the least, very close, possibly Nagure and myself as well, but I kind of doubt Rumble Strike's quest will have up to eight battles, and I have an odd feeling that Flare will end the quest with me at Level 14 1/2 Horizon Sevant (played by Un1ted2); 26 years old male human , Level 1 Stigveladi ("Amma") Kötturin (played by PsyKater); 247 years old female dwarven Mage, Level 1 Jon Mcency (played by Skyrimguy); 53 years old male human Rogue, Level 7 Zark (played by Pharos712); 21 years old male human Barbarian, Level 4 Thalion Dwinlas (played by -obelix-); 213 years old male elven Mage, Level 5 Alexander Vandangant (played by Wedge09); 99 years old male elven Ranger, Level 3 Raven Ashcroft (played by Raven Brickroft); 18 years old male human Rogue, Level 3 Siercon (played by Siercon and Coral); ? years old male ? Palathadric Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Rone is presently in the "Fields of Glory." Mizuki, Nagure, and Nerwen are all in Quest #52. Apart from that Horizon has only two posts thus far, but hopefully he will stick around. Zark, I don't believe, has been active since his quest was put on hold. L'Oreal Diablo has also not been around for a while. Many of the others are not particularly active in the hall, if at all, but would, hopefully, sign up if they see a new quest available. Quote
