PsyKater Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Rone is presently in the "Fields of Glory." Mizuki, Nagure, and Nerwen are all in Quest #52. Apart from that Horizon has only two posts thus far, but hopefully he will stick around. Zark, I don't believe, has been active since his quest was put on hold. L'Oreal Diablo has also not been around for a while. Many of the others are not particularly active in the hall, if at all, but would, hopefully, sign up if they see a new quest available. Thanks, I updated my previous post. Yes, Horizon is the newest active member, but I hope he will become active. A second post in the Hall without any conversation yet is a good sign, I think. Well, one can see how many active newbies are there, when the first quest is offered. If I remember correct, some of the last quests have also been long waiting for Heroes to sign up. With that final eloquent statement, The Wound takes his front two arms and slashes one end of the bridge. The bridge falls instantly, nearly touching the water. All of the heroes fall off the near vertical bridge, plunging into the rushing waters below. The sheer height they fell from nearly knocked them unconscious as soon as they hit the water. Those who remained concious plunged several feet below the surface, the rushing currents preventing them from swimming up or away. Only Johon remained on the bridge. He clings to the safety rails for dear life, slowly trying to climb them like a ladder. The Wound laughs at the feeble display and lets two more knives fly. They whizz through the air, eventually piercing through the rope on the other end of the bridge. The entire Riht's Bridge - and Johon with it - plunge into the water below, and get swept away by the rushing currents. You will be receiving PMs later today. Please do not post in the Quest thread, for the Quest will continue via PM for a short amount of time. Woooot? Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Well, this is interesting. I didn't exactly expect that to work, but I didn't see any other solution. At least I know he's not an ancient now. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

I have that thing they call "school" to attend, so you'll get your PMs this afternoon most likely. Quote
Flare Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I feel scared. Very scared. Does this work on PC's? Just pay your tithes and you won't have to worry ... and I have an odd feeling that Flare will end the quest with me at Level 14 1/2 Well if that happened wouldn't that be funny Quote
Rumble Strike Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Things I learnt today: That my ridiculously slow work internet is not conducive to calculating and writing up a round of battle. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Rumble, I think something went wrong with the battle, the enemies. Also, Gold Reaper does not do damage. Quote
Sandy Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Elphaba has left the Marketplace, to return in the spring. I will be leaving to the aforementioned wedding for the weekend tomorrow straight from work, so after today you won't get updates from me until Sunday. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Elphaba has left the Marketplace, to return in the spring. Looks like Hoke returned just in time! But I have a question. The scrolls I have: frailty & weakening. What exactly do they do again? How much are they worth if I sell them in the Marketplace (which I may not be able to do now with Elphaba gone)? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) I'm working with LDraw. LDraw My personal opinion is that it's not great. But you don't need many bricks to make good scenes! Looks like Hoke returned just in time! But I have a question. The scrolls I have: frailty & weakening. What exactly do they do again? How much are they worth if I sell them in the Marketplace (which I may not be able to do now with Elphaba gone)? Or.. Sell them to Sarge! (My character) Edited November 29, 2012 by Skyrimguy Quote

How much are they worth if I sell them in the Marketplace (which I may not be able to do now with Elphaba gone)? If you don't want that Weakening scroll I'm sure I could work out a deal for it, though I'll likely not have the funds until after the last Wren Quest. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they sell for the same price as any other Scroll, but considering how fantastically useful Frailty is, I'd at least hold on to that one. Also, sorry I've not been able to write up a response in Q51, Pie, I've been SUPER busy, and it'd take me a couple of hours EASY to write up a proper response. If De'kra or any of the others want to break the silence, they may. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Rumble, I think something went wrong with the battle, the enemies. Also, Gold Reaper does not do damage. Yeah, I had so little time to do all the calculations and format the text during my lunch hour. I managed to delete a couple of the opponents and when I tried to put them in again the images messed up so I took them out. I wanted to keep the quest moving but in the end I didn't have the time to do it justice. I did not realsie Gold Reaper didn't do damage. The wording for the skill seemed to indicate it, but I guess it would be a bit overpowered! I will reformat the round and make the changes, and add some more commentary in. Quote
CMP Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Yeah, trying to run battles in this deranged text editor is annoying. And when you do it in MS Word, you can't even copy and paste images back and forth... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I'm glad other people are finding it frustrating too. It's much worse than before the upgrade, I seem to be constantly fighting the forum each Round. Quote

And when you do it in MS Word, you can't even copy and paste images back and forth... Are you using the RTE or the plain text editor? I have no problems with the plain text editor; the BBCode required for a Round of battle isn't that hard to type in manually. Quote

Typing in the BBC code manually still qualifies under annoying, compared to the old editor. Quote
Sandy Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 But I have a question. The scrolls I have: frailty & weakening. What exactly do they do again? How much are they worth if I sell them in the Marketplace (which I may not be able to do now with Elphaba gone)? Scroll of Frailty has 1/2 chance to cause the fragile-effect (which makes the enemy receive double damage from attacks for 3 rounds), while the Scroll of Weakening has 1/2 chance to cause the weakened-effect (which halves the enemy's level for 3 rounds). Both cost 1 ether to use, if I recall correctly. You can always sell the scrolls for 25 gold each. Quote

I will just hold onto them as Hoke can use scrolls, or let the party's main magic user borrow them during a quest. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I don't actually use any BB code for battles, or in general, really. Other than the img thingy, of course. I usually quote the last post, and then make changes... It seems to be the easiest way to do stuff. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I've always quoted the last post when running a battle since before the upgrade. I meant that I adjust the post manually in the BBCode editor, not in the RTE, and I haven't had any trouble with that. (usually it's just changing the results, calculations and description, and possibly adding or removing color or emboldening tags for effects) I don't retype the entire post! Quote

Scubacarrot Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Well thanks i do really feel welcome. Though whats not to like about my name? Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm convinced there is a special place in hell for people that use numbers instead of letters. Quote
