Brickdoctor Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 *hopes the rerolls aren't even worse* Of course. I get the best possible roll... and that Knocks me Out. Quote
Zepher Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 And now, Flipz, it is you not responding to Johnny. Quote
Flipz Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Also, WBD, mind if I just post Arthur's half of the convo in the Hall, and use quotes to keep the flow of the conversation making sense? I don't want to clog up the Arena topic without permission. Quote
Scorpiox Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Of course. I get the best possible roll... and that Knocks me Out. I really hope you weren't one of the ones laughing at Haldor when he team-killed Alexis and Cronk. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Oh no! I may miss the final Charis/Croise quest! No don't worry. This is a filler for the newer players, you can still be in the finale maybe. Quote
Etzel Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I really hope you weren't one of the ones laughing at Haldor when he team-killed Alexis and Cronk. Come on, everyone laughed at that! Quote
Endgame Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Sorry for the lateness on, well, everything, folks! School/Christmas stuff takes priority, sorry. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 No don't worry. This is a filler for the newer players, you can still be in the finale maybe. Wait for me! I loved 47, and I want to beat the crap out of them again! Quote

PsyKater Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) QM Note: My mistake, I forgot to edit your locations. The Dry Land Alligator should be in the pond room as well, shouldn't he? Dry Land Alligator (92nd Star) – Location: Stone Garden "Put that fire out." Guts instructed to the npc's owners of the establishment. "The rest of you, prepare for battle." Guts got up to the door, and said: "What do you want, we are closed." I could just see this situation right in front of me. Edited December 5, 2012 by PsyKater Quote
Wedge09 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I have two question: 1. For my actual level, a smelling salt, a mead or a nostrum are usefull to me??? 2. The Ranger’s Quiver is also usefull on my character??? Thanks beforehand :classic: Quote
Scorpiox Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 In the vein of the random question of an unspecified time period, what is your character's theme song? Not this again! But following the cult of the RQOUTP, I'll do my best to answer it. Obviously. I chose this because it is bloody awesome I think it's sort of appropriate to Haldor's thoughts at the moment, i.e. confused and torn between various decisions and roles that he can play, but still retaining a clear sense of right and wrong, and what he believes is the truth. And for Heroica the organisation: Yes, I just really wanted to post this. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 In the vain of the random question of an unspecified time period, what is your character's theme song? Not quite sure about Thothwick or Hoptet, but a song I think of whenever Lady Wren pops up in a Quest. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 For Wren I think of Riot by Three Days Grace, for Lycan Animal I have become, also by Three Days Grace. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) I have two questions: 1. For my actual level, would a smelling salt, a mead or a nostrum be useful to me? 2. Is the Ranger’s Quiver useful for my character? Yes to both. I'm far to early on in roleplaying to give my character any song. I dunno. I mean, I don't even know what sarge is!! Can anyone tell me what? Edited December 5, 2012 by Skyrimguy Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) Just have a little think. What does he like? What doesn't he like? What are his goals? Why did he come to Heroica? What does he care most about? The problem with that is that you can pretty much fill all of that with gold. Sarge should have been born a dwarf. To be honest, there are a lot of polite, courteous characters out there. Sarge is the opposite of that. He is incredibly impulsive, so quest leaders hate him. He hungers for a battle, and has no judgment apart from. Who will pay the most. He is an alcoholic, rude, abomination. He has to be the least lawful of all of the characters in heroica. A total racist, prejudice to all. He does, of course, have respect for some soldiers. Monk pretzel being the only one. And.. I may make him a zombie. Thoughts? Being the opposite is fine, most rogues tend towards that mischevious, back-stabbing, turn-coat. The trick is finding something that makes him lovable though. If all your character talks about is hating people and being upset or angry, most people will eventually start skipping over his statements in thread because there is nothing that appeals to them or keeps them interested. I would seriously suggest reading some of Boomingham's statements whether in the hall topic or in his respective quests. Boomingham can be just as unsettling/rude as Sarge sometimes, but if you read closer, Zepher has included glimpses into the Paladin's personality that personally make me smile/laugh/and always willing to read his entire post. As far as making Sarge a zombie, don't rush things and try to steer away from cliche if you can help it. If we know how it's going to end or how he's going to respond then what's the point in reading it? Quote

The Ranger’s Quiver is also usefull on my character??? Thanks beforehand :classic: Yes, smelling salts, meads, and nostrums are useful to just about everyone (besides Docken and Haldor ) however, they are costly and unless you're a rogue who can make quick and easy money they must be used sparingly and only when deemed very necessary. For a lower level hero, such as yourself, I wouldn't really recommend the smelling salts for a while because smelling salts are more or less a way to eat up free hits for your class at least, and you probably want to avoid attracting too many hits to yourself since you don't have too much health...just my two cents. Ranger's Quiver is useful for your character, but for levels 1-9 you can only equip one artifact, so you just have to see whether you want to take up that slot with an artifact that grants you +1 to power or perhaps one that offers SP, etc. The choice is up to you. All are useful. Hope this helps somewhat. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) Absolutely usefull, thanks  Maybe this is a stupid question but SP what does in the realty?? It decrease the power of the attack?? It's your defense stat. SP (Shielding Power), it basically decreases the power of an incoming attack. i.e. if you were to take damage it would be = Your Health-(Enemy Level -SP) Edit: "It's time to finish this... GURNAM STYLE!" Oh dear. "Hey fishy ladies..." Now to get to work on the next hit single "The Fields of Glory" by Lady Baba. Edited December 5, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote
