Scorpiox Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I wish heroes ate plot devices more often. Haldor, would you like to eat Wren at the beginning of Quest 53? Arthur can give you tips on eating NPCs! Nah, in this situation it would be more likely that Haldor would just eat a random chicken leg that he finds on the floor, which later turns out to be the only mortal object capable of defeating the witch. And then he team-kills the whole party by accident. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I so want to have Sorona take back Lifestealer now that Guts has mentioned it. I'm just too nice a QM. Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I so want to have Sorona take back Lifestealer now that Guts has mentioned it. I'm just too nice a QM. It's a delicious way to so doubt and mistrust among the party... And I see what you're doing there, if its Guts who is frozen out of the battle it both closes the level gap slightly and makes it easier to balance enemies. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 You also caught the Lego Games motif as well, Chromeknight. Nice one. I wanted a game-like puzzle and those times you build a frieze of a character's likeness in tiles stood out as a possibility. It worked pretty well for Sorona as she has quite a distinctive look. Too distinctive,as it turned out! I would totally have Sorona take Lifestealer back from Guts as it makes sense at this time in plot/story terms, but I expect Scuba and others may see that as going too far to keep a story going, when a QM takes back loot given in an earlier quest. Not really on! Quote

Not really on! You could remove its Lifestealing ability. My QMs constantly forget Ratsbane even has it. Which is okay, because so do I... I liked the puzzle as well. Like you and CK said, it's very reminiscent of the LEGO games. Edited December 16, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Palathadric Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I so want to perform a jump-jump-attack on the middle of that mosaic and watch smug Sonora's face as her likeness explodes in a shower of silver, gold and blue studs. Show her who's really impetuous... I'd love to see Nerwen do that! I'd be really interested to hear which ones still intrigue people who didn't play through them! Tell me some stand outs!! NPCs, villains, BATTLES in particular that still interested you! For one thing, the incredible shortness of most battles. It wasn't at all unusual for battles to last just one round. It's been a few months' project, so some of the newer one e.g. 15-25 are not exactly too fresh in my memory. I'll get back to you though...hopefully soon. Quote
Endgame Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Flipz, after the PM you sent me, I offically fear the day you become QM. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Sucks to be Jorke. "Losing" the pill only makes him look more guilty. Um, Scorpiox, you gonna come back? The mean little girl is gone now. Quote
Zepher Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Um, Scorpiox, you gonna come back? The mean little girl is gone now. This is not Haldor's quest. I miss -Haldor. I'm excited to get him back under my control so I can push his buttons a little more. Quote

Not really on! To be fair, I had just spent the weekend playing Lego StarWars with my nephew. At least your puzzle wasn't on the wall with a pile of jittering pieces beneath. As for giving lifestealer up, I think the only way you'd get it is if Sonora flees with it embedded in her sternum. Quote
CMP Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Perhaps I'm missing something, but why was Boomingham healing himself in the front row? Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Perhaps I'm missing something, but why was Boomingham healing himself in the front row? Boomingham counterstrikes. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Guts paid for 19 weapon upgrades. I'm just saying. Don't take it back. Perhaps I'm missing something, but why was Boomingham healing himself in the front row? Healing yourself on the front row is basically all a Paladin is good at. Quote
Palathadric Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Boomingham really has screwed his party over though with that antic. Quote
Zepher Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Ah, have some fun! AND there's a reason for it anyway! And we have a smoke bomb, and two phoenix essences. We'll be okay. Quote
herrJJ Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I just was wondering if the RPG is placed in a persistent world or if it is more like the Simpsons. So do player's character get older or is it left to each one to decide? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Guts paid for 19 weapon upgrades. I'm just saying. Don't take it back. Yeah I know. It's a weapon you've invested a great deal into. I'm not going to take it back, as that would be wrong, but I might add a little mischief into the battle. Quote

herrJJ Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 #q55: I for myself would say to let the letter be closed. Of course Nessa has another opinion about that ;-) Quote
