No, the formatting system decided that by "indent" I meant "put ". And then preceded to unformat everything.

I've had that happen several times making large posts for SH month. Super annoying.

And Bal! Dammit, Zepher. You blew up my teddy bear.

I'm leaving for a few days. I'll be back the evening of the 24th.

I can understand why "Guards Round 2" was so difficult (I don't think we were even meant to complete that, considering you already had a major NPC antagonist there!) but, considering none of us are really buffed, the Sisterhood battle seems rather harsh: especially now that they are all (nearly) insta-kill machines.

This battle and the second guard battle were basically impossible. I did not say anything about it last battle because I figured you´d not want us to even be able to win that battle, which I think is a bad game mechanic, battles should at least have a decent chance to be won. Even if we would never roll damage or special damage that battle was basically impossible due to the hastened and lucky enemies. This, same story. It´s way harder than what groups of level 20 plus groups are fighting.

I don´t mean to criticize negatively, but these battles are not balanced. The first battle was very inventive and cool, with a real challenge and something different as well. These last two are just stupidly hard. Almost all the specials mean basically game over. If we don´t want to risk failing the quest, we will have to pull back again. :sceptic:

I admit, the Encouraged effect has put you in a bad position, but you haven't had a single KO yet this battle. Endgame didn't help himself by switching targets to one that was already being covered giving another free hit away.

That, I admit, was a mistake. I thought that Undead were weak to ice for some reason, so I decided to take a risk and try to finsih Dreina.

Are you using the basic editor? If so, I can't say I understand what you are talking about, but frequently in the Rich Text Editor I've had my formatting messed up. Sometimes when I press backspace it will take my cursor to the beginning of the line and I'll start typing, and ugh it is so frustrating. Maybe that is what you are experiencing with your indents?

 Amphiannoc has been talked about much, Rumble! I'm glad someone is noticing it now.

That is an issue I have, but is not the issue I am referring to now. I copy and pasted something into the post, and it broke the entire post by showing all these <> things that denoted the formatting. It was not a fun time.

That happens sometimes when you have huge amounts of images and coding and such in a single post.

Autoplaying twenty plus rounds in a single post, for example....

Ah, I had that for a time whenever I was updating my posts in the Hero Statistics page. It went away with time, though, so I don't really know.

When I switch back and forth between the RTE and plain text editor (usually because I wanted to quickly color a bit of text because I forgot the hex code), it'll sometimes for a moment give me the HTML for the post instead of the BBCode, and HTML uses those '< >' brackets for its tags. It usually converts back to BBCode by itself a moment later, though.

I find the auto save annoying, because it never saves the post when I need it to save it

With the old software, if I accidentally clicked away from a page or closed a tab, I could go back or press 'Command+Z' to reopen the tab in Safari, and the text would still be there. Doesn't work with the new software, which means I have to rely on the autosave. I just try to remember to select and copy the entire post every once in a while when I'm typing a long post.

That IS your quest. 20 Minotaurs.  Any scene where they do anything would be beyond impressive.

I might actually do some rough builds for this just to see how I like it...

Coming soon* to a quest board near you!

*Definition and/or usage of "soon" subject to change, dependent upon swils' ability to actually design a solid quest start-to-finish and not get sidetracked, not try to include too many gamechangers, not throw his hands up in desperation, nor any other situation in which he gives up on the quest design. Also subject to Sandman approval once/if he manages to actually plan it all out. In fact, "soon" is probably one of the worst word choices he could have made. You should all point and laugh.

Speaking of Quest #53:

Zepher, why is it that it takes so long to read your quests? It's better started and I already can't keep up with what's been said. Way to go!

Now to figure out a way to schedule a slot of my day which I can use to read it.

What the hell! WBD, did you really have to sell all of that for cheap. I'm sure some hero somewhere would've bought that stuff. Such a shame to see Leojagd go.

Well if someone decided to read the hall topic, they would have seen the sword and sandals for sale at least 3 weeks ago.

Indeed.

Hey, WBD, you may want to re-read my Q53 post, I ended up making a minor change you may appreciate...

Skrall's spelling needs just a little work, but Arthur's Froglish is just awful period. I smiled though, good addition.

Wait, WBD, is that Scroll only usable by basic Clerics and Mages? If so, that'll definitely affect how much I offer Boomers for it and the Scroll of Recklessness.

Also, the Humble Indie Bundle 7 is out, and it includes a game that I think all Heroica fans would enjoy: Dungeon Defenders! This version includes ALL DLC for the game, and best of all--you pay what you want!* There are also a bunch of other cool games included in the bundle (including The Binding of Isaac and its DLC), but Dungeon Defenders is the highlight for me.

*To get Dungeon Defenders and Legend of Grimrock, you have to pay the average paid price or more, which is currently at US$6.39. That's still a whole lot less than the cost of the games and their DLC, though!

Lycans flourishing under the pressure. One of the richest characters in game at the moment (I swear the other two are Johon and Galen) and then, the nostrums making me roll shield instead of special damage.
