Oh, and I absolutely want to Quest under Sandy again (my first quest was by him, and I haven't gotten to go back yet :cry_sad: ) and BD (Boomingham has got to go to war) AND Etzel (great quests, great sets, and if it's Paladins... I'd be more than happy to have Boomingham meet some of them. I think he needs to in order to further his relationship with Barty). And of course there are even more QMs I want to get to play with... so much to do, so little time.

I'd be interested to see a stats on which player has been on the most quests with which QM.

A rich dude would give out mythril! It's a fact  . It's a really nice drop that isn't mind boggling to host, and I do like to have a nice reward at the end of quests!! Call it what you like... but see you there!

I'll go on another one if your quests if only for the shields you keep rolling me

Thanks for letting me be a part of Quest#53 even if it was just by way of an interlude. Can anyone spot the blatent inspiration for Alara?

And Skyrimguy, your MOC looks great. Heroica got me into building again, since I came out of my Dark Ages I had only built actual sets, but I was inspired to create my own stuff by the RPG.

Yeah, that's a great room! Most heroes live in inns and not in the Hall, because it turns out to be the way things work according to Sandy, but the room looks incredible, has great character, and smart building technique!! Publish it in it's own topic elsewhere on the site and see what people say!

And yeah, RS, most of my building time has to go into sets currently. And I did say it could be about anything, BD. RS did both.

Well Rystael is important to Tarn and he has popped up a few times before in various Heroica threads so I thought he'd be appropriate to use without actually featuring my player character, who, as CMP said, is off fightin' ninjas or somethin'.

(Zoot's playthings for Wren, Mytril Shards for Guffington, don't know what yet for Russel).

Sylvania's Cowls? They're simple items, not OP at all, but they're really great, I'd love to have one myself. Not to mention they're logical and appropriate rewards for the Quest givers.

I have a dream team of players thought up for a Quest I want to host sometime in the future, but it turns out most of them are a pain to balance for ( ).

Speaking as a player who puts min-maxing before character development (Whaddya mean "strives to be the strongest hero alive" isn't a proper background?!), there are several QM's whose quests I'd *love* to go on (or at least, to have gone on, depending on changes after the fact). Not to say that I haven't enjoyed every quest that I've been on, because I have, thoroughly, but the xp/inventory rewards from other quests have been *really* appealing. I have a horrible tendency to lose myself to nostalgia and I always find myself loathing the "entitled, handheld new generation" in any game. Games evolve, and if you've been playing for longer than someone new, chances are that, for any given task/goal, if you used Method A, then by the time that Player 2 attempts it, Method B will have been implemented by the powers-that-be, and Method B is way easier/stronger than Method A. Similarly, while a WP:12 sword and Darkness-immune artifact used to be unique and strong items, they are now both commonplace and (relatively) easily attainable. Unique effects are now a dime a dozen.

That said, and to bring it back to the original point, there are several QM's who, from what I've seen, are very generous in their rewards of either Experience gains, gold, powerful items, or some combination of the aforementioned. And while I might have very little interest in the story arcs, as a whole, that they are sharing with us, the rewards themselves, or even the anticipation of those rewards, are enough to make me want to brush up on my "story arc backstory" so that I can harvest rewards while still participating in/interacting with the QM's quest enough to not be a total let down of a player from an RP perspective.

Very nice build, Skyrimguy!

I'd personally love to host Pretzel (again), Boomingham, Nyx, Arthur, Skrall, or Ellaria, and pretty much all of 55.

He's mine!! :sing: I'm holding onto him as long as I can!!

Well, go on, tell us which QMs are the nicest so that we can lynch them!:devil:

Not a chance! In fact, I shall assemble a team of like-minded (read: min-maxing) champions and dare any QM to tackle the task of balancing both challenge AND reward!

Heavens save the poor soul.

E: Besides, if I gave any specifics, some folks might be apt to reconsider their policies if public opinion reflects my own! Can't be having that, no sir.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Looks great! It's just that Heroica Hall is not a hotel, the heroes don't actually live there.

But you couldn't have known that, really, so it's totally alright.

Wow, tighter battle than I thought--I forgot to look at my own HP for a minute there, when I suddenly realized that half the party is on the verge of death.

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't know that...

Where do the hero's stay? Not all hero's are swimming in gold so some wouldn't be able to afford to stay anywhere. Even then I'd guess most would rather pay for a weapon upgrade before paying for a place to sleep.

Haldor trying to heal the Emperor of Dastan? Look out Ella, your succession is almost here!

I bet Tarn would be pleased if Haldor were to accidently murder the Emperor, and with Haldor's recent luck, there is a very real chance of that happening.

Umm, at their own homes? The heroes are citizens of Eubric, after all (or immigrants who have moved there at some point), they should have houses of their own. It's up to everyone to figure out where their character lives, anyway. As an example, my character Ellaria helps out an old pharmacist in exchange for a room above the apotechary.
