Wedge09 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I can't wait to see and read this bestiary Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Well, people of different skin tones are still humans, so a species is allowed diversity. Besides, all Proggs have 4 defining factors: >Face grid >Tail >Shell >Fleshy interior Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Oh BTW I love the embassy! I read through the whole thing But I noticed two mistakes...: 1. There is no description for hobgoblins? 2. Typo under werefolk - *mentally strongest, not metally strongest And what about genies (or other spirit people) 1. Because Sandy didn't write one, and we'll have to see if he/she/it decides to in the future. 2. Thanks for pointing that out. Good idea, I'll see what I can do about them. Endgame, wenn will appear the Proggs in the Embassy??? When Endgame can be arsed to write a description! Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 When Endgame can be arsed to write a description! Hey, gimme a break! A description for proggs would probably be incomplete if it wasn't a spoiler, unless you want me to write a basic description of it then add the bestiary later when al of the Proggs are revealed. Pyrovisionary Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Well, people of different skin tones are still humans, so a species is allowed diversity. You're basically implying that neanderthals are the same as us Homo-sapiens? Edited January 1, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 You're basically implying that neanderthals are the same as us Homo-sapiens? No, I'm implying that people of different skin tones, whether white, yellow, or black are all still humans. Different species have more radical degrees of diversity: or, in a Progg's case, an exorbitant amount of diversity. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) I'm just saying don't do an entire bestiary on the proggs, slightly overkill. Maybe half a bestiary. More: Proggs range from the size of a housecat to the size of a small house than Big ones are soldiers and small ones are alchemists. Edited January 1, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Flare Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I'll write something up for semi-mad demi-gods if you need me to, Scorpiox Quote
Sandy Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 1. Because Sandy didn't write one, and we'll have to see if he/she/it decides to in the future. The goblin entry already says that hobgoblins are the offspring of a goblin and an orc. I don't really have anything more to say about them, so you can either move the sentence under the hobgoblin picture, or the picture over the goblin text. If you, Scorpiox, or someone else wants to write more elaborate texts for the races, by all means send them my way. Quote
Flare Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 How exactly will three quest-masters work in the Unlimited Quest? Quote

In that case, I might just add in an 'appearance' section undermeath the picture, but obviously no 'history'. I'm also going to add my own race (Lurgh-án, using Uruk-hai and PoTC Zombies) to the Embassy once I get get a good picture. Quote
Sandy Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 I don't think Shield rolls count, because the player is not healing/using magic by choice, and it doesn't use ether. I could be wrong, though. The sealed-effect prevents all magic spells and healing. If a SHIELD-skill contains both spells and physical attacks, the effect only blocks the spells, not the other attacks. Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Lo and behold: Hobgoblins have now been described! Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 -Is it still targetting if Sylph is trying to heal a non-undead? -If Aquos takes damage and Sylph heals him, should Aquos be legitimately healed? Quote

They'd have to Blind and Sealed to stop them decimating opponents. Quote
Flare Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Lo and behold: Hobgoblins have now been described! Hallelujer! Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks for the present Palathadric! It's a good Idea. And also, is it possible to have every single gem infused into a weapon? Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Was there any ruling on thetwo questions I posted above? Quote
Flipz Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 -Is it still targetting if Sylph is trying to heal a non-undead? -If Aquos takes damage and Sylph heals him, should Aquos be legitimately healed? I believe the case in the past has been "yes" on both counts. Also, shouldn't Aquos' Blindness be lifted if Sylph successfully heals him? You know, thanks to the "removes negative effects" dealio? Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) No, because his blindness is from defective eyes, not witchcraft. His eyes were born broken. Also, if Sylph rolls a miracle, does it heal Aquos and his tentacle or the party...? I'm assuming party. Also, an opinion: it shouldn't count as preventing a free hit if the targetter has no chance of being hurt. that is how it works with bombs and scrolls, so I don't see why it shouldn't apply to healing. Edited January 1, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 His SHIELD will always heal the party. Curses! I still don't think if it should count as targeting, though - considering they have no chance of getting hurt. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Curses! I still don't think if it should count as targeting, though - considering they have no chance of getting hurt. But I'm wasting an ether. My poor little ether. I only wanted to heal my friend, the tentacle monster. He'd be so sad if my heal didn't count as a target. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited January 1, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Palathadric Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) I am never EVER AGAIN hosting anyone as pathetic in fighting as Monk Pretzel... Cookie for whoever reads ALL of my most recent post in Quest #42 and is able to provide a related joke It helps that you got the damage calculations completely screwed up again. Although the waste of time was on your side, not mine. Glad this mistake wasn't made in a more severe fight...although perhaps I should look back... Happy New Year, all!
