Rumble Strike Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Thanks Father Grogmas for Tarn's awesome-looking Darksteel armour. What piece is it made from, I don't quite recognise it. A great surprise anyway as it must've been something Father Grogmas came up with himself. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I made it up. It's the Armour from the Falcon Knight in the Kingdom's Joust set. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Sorry Scuba, I must've missed your post in the Grogmas thread. I see it is fine Strivvian metal! Sadly I won't be able to get that piece for pictures of Tarn. Quote
Sandy Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 What exactly does this mean? The items will only be useable on the quest we are presently on and once we're finished that quest they'll sit idly in our inventory? Or we're just not supposed to equip them in the Grogmas Gifts topic? Sorry for my not understanding. I apologize for the bad wording. I merely wanted to say that you shouldn't use the Grogmas Gifts topic to equip the items you got. Of course they are yours to keep for as long as you like! Quote
Palathadric Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) Thanks, Sandy. Some of the gifts just seemed so incredible that I didn't think it were possible that they would be with us to stay. I was thinking of giving Eric a "permanently encouraged" hood, so he would never need to drink mead again, but I thought it would never be accepted. Cut looking back, some of the gifts given seem a lot more powerful than that would have been though. Flare's new cannon and Costy's coat are terrifying. Something tells me Costy is soon to be Doc #2. Flipz Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) Not really. Costy's Knight-hybrid is... Oh.. Snap. All Costy would need is a nice weapon, and he'd be the new Tensi. It's all good, though, those two always seem to get the short end of the stick on loot drops. Edited January 2, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Palathadric Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) Sorry, but Flare got the Demonic Scissors that Sarge now uses when there were a lot of others that could have used it much more than he. (QM, please don't kill me!!! ) I feel bad for Arthur, the others are discussing his mental condition right in front of him. If anything drives him over the edge, I think that would. Well I specifically wrote that Skrall spoke with his voice lowered, but apparently mages have hearing skills comparable to elves. Quote
Flipz Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 You'd be surprised how much one's hearing improves when they're actively not speaking. ...or maybe I just missed that detail. Quote

HeinzWilhelm Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 If I used a wind spell against a mechanical or rocky enemy, would it do normal damage, half damage, or no damage? Also, If I had a saphire infused weapon, and attacked a mechanical or rocky enemy would it do normal damage, half damage or no damage? Quote

Also, If I had a saphire infused weapon, and attacked a mechanical or rocky enemy would it do normal damage, half damage or no damage? No damage from either. Wind attacks don't affect mechanical or rock monsters. Quote

By the way, The_Customizer, I'd recommend that Erdathcath wear only her Lucky Satchel and the Mage's Muffler at this point, and save the charm until later; Sealing is a really, really bad thing for a Druid. Flare Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Sorry, I don't really know what you mean.. He thinks that I always get the good weapons Its because I'm a useful player in the RPG, unlike you Palathadric Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Well if it was a physical attack he'd do normal damage. Quote
CMP Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Well if it was a physical attack he'd do normal damage. Right, but not if it was imbued with a Sapphire. Quote
HeinzWilhelm Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 What about a physical attack from an item imbued with both Saphire and topaz? How much damage then? Quote
CMP Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Effectiveness against elements stack, ineffectiveness and effectiveness balance eachother, and double ineffectiveness doesn't change anything. So quadruple damage to flying types, double to vermin and aquatic types, normal damage to mechanic, and no damage to rock and electric monsters. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 So to be honest, a good combo that allows you to do double damage to both Humanoids and undead.. Amethyst and Diamond. I must get me one of those. Quote
Pandora Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 And thank you so much Pandora for thinking of Galen and coming up with such a great idea! Glad you got it, and more importantly - glad you like it! Anyway, Nyx has always had a soft spot for Galen. Plus, thanks to CM and CMP for the shoes suggestions for Nyx! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I'd forgotten just how much fun I have playing Hlin. He's awesome! Quote
Sandy Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 CallMePie will take the reigns for Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory for the next party, so look forward braving the fields under his dominance, Flare & co. Quote
CMP Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I'd forgotten just how much fun I have playing Hlin. He's awesome! I agree. He's come so far from being that annoying, snobbish, corrupt guard captain. Now he's an annoying, snobbish, failed adventurer.... I like his character, either way. CallMePie will take the reigns for Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory for the next party, so look forward braving the fields under his dominance, Flare & co. I can't wait, I'm really glad to be hosting for such an awesome party. "I have my incredible good looks and skill with a blade to get by in this horrible place. You and Vres, you have... you have your... what you have. It's clearly not enough." Exactly what I'm talking about. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Glad you like him CMP, and good luck with hosting the Fields! Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Ah Hlin, how I missed him. Good to see him again. By the way, Sandy, when can we expect to see this other expert class you mentioned earlier? Quote
