Masked Builder Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 The 'no fighting once KO'd' rule hasn't been applied in Quest 53 yet, right, Zepher? Well they revived my and I kept fighting... I was hoping he forgot. Quote
Flipz Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I believe the rule was "if still KO'd at end of fight" in the first place. In any event, Gnash is Still Alive despite being KO'd for BOTH fights he's been in, so I think the rest of us are good. Besides, Zeph DID say that that rule wouldn't be put into place until about halfway through the Quest, and if we're halfway through already, then I'm a potato. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I'm torn about reviving you, CMP. We could really use you the rest of this fight but I was hoping to save my essences for when someone would be perma-KO'd. Quote

If it's not a perma-KO, you can save your essence, unless you think Atramor's crucial to winning. But I've already crippled the Warriors, so it shouldn't be that hard. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I feel a little bad, though. Having another healer that sometimes caused the enemy to hit each other and dealt badly poisoned and fragile effects really helped us this battle. So it sucks that you won't get the XP from it. Quote

If it makes you feel any better, put a note next to one of your Phoenix Essences that says 'Reserved for Atramor Gibbin'. We'll need them more in the perma-KO battles anyway. Quote

Flipz Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 The only reason I asked Dyric to use his on Alexis was 1.) It was in-character, 2.) Alexis was one battle away from her next full level (which meant her summons would increase in power, which in turn means 4 extra points of guaranteed damage per turn after she rolls her first SHIELD--assuming, of course, the summoned summon would be dealing elementally advantageous damage, but why wouldn't they be?). Tanma Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Just curious, what are the exact powers of the Kanohi Mask? Is it if I cast a light spell with Kapura, it will also deal fire damage? And electric with Chiara? Or is it something else entirely? Quote

And electric with Chiara? Or is it something else entirely? With the Kanohi mask equipped, the spells take just the effects of the weapon, not other elements imbued into them. If the weapon has dual strike-effect, for example, you'll be able to cast spells on two enemies in one turn. If the weapon has blinded-effect, the spells will become blinding, etc. Quote
The Legonater Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Face it Regulus, you've killed us all! Knowing Arthur, that may have been the point. Quote

Strategically speaking it might not have been the best decision and Skrall wasn't very much in favor of it, but only time will tell. Quote

But I've already crippled the Warriors, so it shouldn't be that hard. That's actually a really nice thing to say. You did so much for this battle that I wish you could be revived, but knowing that there's a risk of Perma-KO coming, it really does make sense to save the Phoenix Essences. There can only be more battles to gain XP if you're alive to fight them. If it's any consolation, Nyx is pretty pissed off that Atramor's KO; it's like someone's decked her kid brother. Quote

JimBee Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Flare, out of curiosity what expert class are you planning for Benji? I think he'd make a cool Cannoneer with those weapons, but with his reputation you could go a lot of different ways. How did he get a great reputation with the Wolfgang, anyway? Quote
Flipz Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 He failed the Violetta Quest, and he pulled...something on Quest 44. He hasn't said what, but I'm pretty sure Benji's in-character explanation was lies. In other news, Arthur's on the verge of realizing he sucks at following the philosophy he's picked out for himself. For one thing, if he were truly a Master of Chaos, then he'd be able to take anything in stride--that's sort of the point. Add to that that a Chaos Master is supposed to be supportive and accepting of others, and soon you see just how far off-base he really is. Quote

Flipz Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) In a lot of ways, I think I see Arthur as similar to Miles Edgeworth. Now, Dyric's no Phoenix Wright by any means, but they've got that weird "on opposite sides but not really" thing going on. (Yes, I just finished the first game today, how could you tell? ) Edited January 4, 2013 by Flipz Quote

(Yes, I just finished the first game today, how could you tell? ) No. You are nowhere near Edgeworth. You don't follow the rules. You have no strict sense of honour and you don't wear a TRIPLE cravat. (And yes. The Ace Attorney series is awesome.) Quote
