Flipz Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I swear, this Quest is going to be a TOTAL fustercluck at the end when we try to get everyone's inventory sorted out. Quote
Zepher Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) I'm not helping you guys with that. You're on your own. I hate having to switch up inventories, it takes hours and results in... next to nothing. Just be friggin happy with what you own. Don't any of you have any feeling of possession? Just be friggin happy with what you own. Don't any of you have any feeling of possession? Maybe if the battles were a little less difficult, we'd be a little less compelled to change inventories every other battle? Quote
Zepher Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Maybe if you stop frustrating me, I'll stop making the battles harder and harder. Just kidding, all the battles were made a few months ago, and beyond nerfing the archers and taking two apprentices out of that one battle, they haven't changed since! Quote
Flipz Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) Just kidding, all the battles were made a few months ago, and beyond nerfing the archers and taking two apprentices out of that one battle, they haven't changed since! So in other words, you expected us all to powerlevel to Level 50 in between the end of Quest 38 and the start of 53, instead of sitting around in the Hall doing nothing. Don't any of you have any feeling of possession? I think Haldor does, none of the rest of us seem to have eaten any souls lately. Edited January 20, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Sandy Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 On a completely different note, could their be werewolves in Dastan? I don't think werewolves are large in numbers in any nation (except maybe Terra Chima, but they're all werefolk down there). Since the trait of a werewolf can be passed on, I don't see why there couldn't be some werewolves in Dastan, as well. On another note, I see you get bored of your characters easily, TheBoyWonder. Isn't this like the fourth time you've made a big change to your character? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) I'm not changing it, its going to be the same character. It's just I've only ever said the High Kingdoms, not any particular nation. Edited January 20, 2013 by TheBoyWonder Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Oh come on, couldn't you have waited after the Quest to do that?! All he has to do is slap on 'Immune to Instant Kill' on a few more opponents and you're just a Ranger... I didn't even know you were able to change classes mid-quest. It's more about the shield, gold reaper, than the insta-kill. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Thanks for the buff, Sandy. I still don't like the class personally as I really miss the AoE special, which is why I will change when we get back. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 It's more about the shield, gold reaper, than the insta-kill. I have to agree with CMP. It'd be harder for Zepher to make an enemy immune to a hastened summon. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Reading Quest#53 now, Atramor's got some pluck. Tarn always saw that in him. Great roleplaying CMP! Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Endgame, I love this quest! The maze is very creative! Quote
Endgame Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Thank you! I had worried 46 had scared you off (dear god that was a huge blunder) but 48 is proving to be better... exponentially. Quote

I'm not changing it, its going to be the same character. It's just I've only ever said the High Kingdoms, not any particular nation. Dastan is not in the High Kingdoms. EDIT: This post removed so Zepher doesn't absolutely massacre us with one tiny change. There are rarely any tiny changes... I keep telling you I've only changed battles to make them easier for you, not harder! EDIT: We'll be continuing tomorrow. Going back to college and stuff today! TheBoyWonder Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Romulus lied about name, so origin wouldn't be too hard. Quote
Sandy Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 Romulus lied about name, so origin wouldn't be too hard. But that's exactly what I was talking about. You made up a character with a specific name and origin, then you apparently got bored of them and decided he was just "lying" about them so you get an excuse to change them. How would it sound if I said that Ellaria was actually Bonnie, a transvestite elf from Brobric, and had just been lying about her origins to everyone (and kidnapping someone's baby to fake a pregnancy)? Wouldn't that just undermine everything I had built for her character up until now? I'm not saying you cannot change your character to your liking, but I am saying it isn't good roleplaying. You have to give your character time and space to grow and evolve, not just make sudden changes out of the blue. Hope you understand where I'm coming from with this. I mean no malice, just want to give you advice. Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 If you get bored, then maybe don't roleplay?! It may work, though RP is half the fun for some people. It's possible, I mean, look at Sarge? No roleplaying required. What does he Love: Gold What does he hate: A lack of gold Where does he come from: Somewhere with less gold What does he fear: An empty purse What does he value in a person: Generosity... And gold What does he want most: Revenge for his dead parents? No, gold. When I first joined, I found myself forcing RP. And forced RP is bad RP you got to be patient.... Then there is WoT syndrome... Most people run through the wall of text (Don't read it) so you've got to shorten it. My personal opinion on life, the universe and everything Quote
Wedge09 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Yeah, Sarge is a very simple person, he has only one thing important: gold. Quote
Flipz Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Poor KO'd Quest 50 Heroes, having to miss out on experience because Xut is going to kill the Hawk. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I understand. I'll just go with somewhere in high kingdoms. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 If you get bored, then maybe don't roleplay?! Brickdoctor's Guide to Never Getting Criticized for Bad Roleplaying: Don't roleplay. (by the way, you can still summon a Wall of Text in the event of a particularly complicated battle involving precise coordination of actions) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Docken still says things in character, so he is still roleplaying. His roleplaying premise is just that he just focusses on battles and problems at hand, and little else. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Yeah, I'm going to start following Dockens route. No roleplaying. Quote
