Dannylonglegs Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Sorry, Sylph. Eidolon won't take any garbage from you guys. How was Sylph supposed to know the final boss was fighting them now as opposed to later. He thought it was an illusion. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Endgame Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 And I would never have a final battle take place in some clearing in a forest -that'd be lame! it has gotta be in a bell tower or something. Quote

Flipz Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 *Eidolon. I like my spelling better, it makes him sound like he's a dinosaur. Quote
Endgame Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 But he is far from extinct! Besides, Eidolon has an actual meaning behind it. Quote

Flipz Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 OK, it's official: "general policy" should be that if there is a Warden in the party and someone has Counterstrike Gloves, the Warden gets the Counterstrike Gloves. Seriously, Harkenshire has ninja'd, what, five or six perfect Counterstrike opportunities in this battle alone? Aura gives 'em the strength to take the Free Hits, they should wear the gloves instead of wasting the ability on another character. Quote
PsyKater Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) Alexander vs. Elite Croise A> Hit 2(7+5) =24 damage Dreyrugr vs. Elite Croise B- Critical Hit (5x2+10 = 20 damage) Janek > Potion on Thailon. 10 health restored! Thalion vs. Dark Croise D> Shield (5+11=16 damage to all enemies!) Nessa vs. Dark Croise A> Critical Hit (6x2+5=17 damage) Amma vs. Dark Croise C> Damage (6/2=3 damage) Dark Croise B- free hit on Alexander (6-2=4/2=2 damage) Alexander aims for the elite enemies commanding the group, he lands a hit, and Dreyrugr whacks the other one. Janek tosses Thailon a potion, and Thailon regenerates a magical blast and knocks back all the Croise's off their feet. A few of them are CURSED! Nessa aims at one of the stumbling Croise's, and shoot. Her arrow goes straight through the Croise's chest and she kills him. Amma gets overwhelmed and struggles with a rushing enemy. Another enemy rushes through the defenses and strikes Alexander with an axe. He barely hits Alexander though. Sorry, no offense and I don't want to be a know-it-all. But I want to understand everything and play fair. Why does Alexander's hit deal 24 damage? If it is a hit it should be equal to his power (7+5=12) if it is a critical hit, it should be double WP (2x7+5=19). Or am I missing something? His weapon is darkness-elemental. Okay, thanks Scuba! Thalion's shield should not have depleted ether, should it? He had 14 in the round before, now he has 13. A mage's shield does not deplete ether. Elite Croise B seems not to be attacked by Thalion's shield. His HP should be 52-20-16=16 It was the first time I checked this. Maybe it would be better if we all check, so that we run a fair game?! But maybe I am wrong with all that after all. On another note: I play a broomstick like a boomerang. Or how is it supposed to work as a ranged weapon? As it is not a throwing weapon she does not need to retrieve it. But it should still be thrown to cause damage, shouldn't it? Or is Amma supposed bash her enemies with a long arm... Scubacarrot Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Alexander does double damage because he has a darkness elemental weapon, and humanoids take double damage from darkness. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 LOL, Psykater, you are like, the 3rd person who told me about Alexander's attack. Do people not really see the "2(7+5)=24"? Also, I forgot the shield doesn't reduce ether. And let me check on the Elite Croise thing. Yep, you're right. For some reason I only accounted for Thailon's cured effect, not the damage. Quote
PsyKater Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Yes, I saw it but I overlooked the reason. Sorry. The broomsticks used as weapons are magical; they fly to the enemies. Okay, then my idea will work. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 But he is far from extinct! Besides, Eidolon has an actual meaning behind it. From now on I am searching up every NPC's name in Google to see if I can figure out more. Quote
Endgame Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Eidolon is a word in the English language, just dictionary.com it - second definition. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Wasn't there a discussion awhile back that was something like this: Enemy..blah blah blah, health: 10/10 Hero Rogue Level 2 with WP:3 dagger rolls a shield. (3x3+2 =11 damage.) The rogue gets 11 gold correct? Because that was equal to his strike. But I vaguely remeber someone saying it's equal to the damage done (which in this case, was at most 10) Does any one recall that? Quote
Endgame Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 It is always equal to how much health they take away from an enemy. if you mug an enemy that has 1 HP for 100 damage, you only get 1 gold. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Well, shoot, Zepher... Couldn't you at least let them drop Phoenix Essences or something? We have to take on 14 enemies, more than half of which are hastened the first round, and all we'll get is 12 gold and two bones? Where's the beef loot? And damn. I think we're all in trouble. Ladies and gentlemen, start bending the rules to get us the win. Dyric has a skeleton decoy. How does that work? Quote
Zepher Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I think you guys will be okay!! I have faith. Quote

Flare Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 ... but it's been a fun quest, when something's been happening. Shush! I'm enjoying this last battle. It's rather challenging I have to say. Glad you're having fun, I designed it to make it impossible for you guys to make it challenging Quote
