Welcome to Heroica, joeshmoe554! You have created a nice character, I imagine something in steampunk-style. Very unique, very nice! I don't know if steampunk would be the right term since there is no steam involved in his operation. I was thinking more along the lines of the automaton from the movie Hugo when I came up with the character. I have a couple ideas for the origin and behavior of the character that should make him fun to play and provide a few role playing opportunities. Quote

Because he, like Josh Whedon, seems to be confusing the terms "beloved secondary character who doesn't get enough screentime" with "redshirt". CM, go change his username. Dyric would gladly assist Haldor in the decapitation. On the subject of Triad, I also echo the lament that it's really a shame she - as well Bal and the others - din't stick around for very long. With the amount of NPCs, Dyric has barely gotten a chance to know any of that party, and they seem to be all the ones who are dying . Quote

Losing Atters would NOT have been a big deal numbers-wise; no offense to Pie, but aside from Deadly Poisoning (which Arthur can do with a Scroll) and Frailty (which Arthur can do with a Scroll), he's next to no use numerically, thanks to the Special Damages being so overwhelming that they'd screw us over even if he does Mirror them and thanks to Hex being so useless. (Seriously, Hex REALLY needs a buff.) A warm body is better than no body. Free hits, phoenix essences, damage, etc. Quote

But the Angelic Trumpet and the Party Maracas seem irreplaceable. Especially if songs take only one turn each round to sing. You could have a party Lucky and Hastened at once. Quote

Nope, hastened does not affect Battle Songs. As the rules state, the Minstrel can only sing one Battle Song at a time, and the effects last only as long as the song does. Just think about it: can you sing two different songs at the same time? Quote

It will be up to whoever ends up with the instruments to sell or trade them, because loot division isn't final. I do hope the ones with effects don't go to Anwyl, though. Quote

Well, I kinda mean both. A Minstrel can choose whether to attack or sing a Battle Song each round. If he chooses to sing, he will do it for the entire round at the defined ether cost. He isn't included in the battle order and can thus only be damaged by area-of-effect attacks. You see how hastened cannot apply to this? Unless the Minstrel did in fact sing two songs at the same time, which is possible for everyone who doesn't have multiple heads... (And no, don't create characters with multiple heads thinking you can take advantage of this. ) I think further clarification on this is in order once people start hitting Level 30... Quote

It's been a while since I've actively played/posted, but I did try to keep up with the current events and latest quests in Heroica, because I wouldn't want to have missed too much once I get back in. I really like the RP'ing and stories of these last few quests and I'm equally pleased to see that some interesting new characters have been introduced by new players.I also found I really cool of you to give Eric a present during Grogmas, even though I wasn't around at the time . Things are starting to somewhat calm down around here, so I hope I can once again allot some of my free time to Heroica in the near future! Hosting quests will probably still be a no-go for me (if I want to do it right this time), but I believe I will be able to participate in quests. After all, I wouldn't want to leave poor Haldor as the only ambassador of the North in the Guild . EDIT: Forgot to say I really like your quest Flare, very nice photography and great characters. But singing depletes their ether pool quickly, so they have to act sometimes, if only to gulp down a tonic. That's when the QM enemies gets a chance to finish them. Hi guys!
