CMP Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Quest#52: Haroka looks surprised that they would let him leave a second time. "Oh well, the jigs up. Come on girls!" Those things The Inquisitors are all female? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Yes, they are all female. Even the one in the top hat, which I think looks particularly sharp. Quote
CMP Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Yes, they are all female. Even the one in the top hat, which I think looks particularly sharp. Who knew a species of mutant fungus could look so dapper? Quote
Zepher Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 But Pretzel and Erdy are nice.. Mostly. Yeah, Sarge is there to make sure everyone else is angry. He distrusts those who are magical or close to magic in any way.. And just about everyone else. Still, he has some chance of being on sarge's 'Nice' list I think that the fact that you think Pretzel is nice speaks to your character. The Hall is a vicious place. Everyone thinks mean and bad megablocks are the same thing. Cronk is a perfect example of how thats not true. Also, the Inquisitors look AWESOME. I wish we had seen more of them before now! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I suppose Wither could be a mutant fungus. All I know is I was looking for something to finish off the look and once that top hat went on it never came off again! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 You are misinterpretating. We allow the inquisitors to leave. Haroka gets no such comfort. The only deal was offered to him, was that of a quicker death. Which considering Guts is a sadistic jerk, could still be pretty slow. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I know, right! Now I think they should take the deal, with Guts being very intimidating and all. What about Hoke?! Sorry dude, mages can't be badass. It's a ground rule. Gandalf the grey (not white) being one of the very few exceptions. Quote
Flipz Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Vaarsivus would like to disagree. Speaking of which, Zeph, an offer of a Familicide spell would likely make for a potent temptation for several Q53 characters. Also, where did people get the impression Arthur isn't friendly to new Heroes?!? Arthur treats new heroes exactly how Althior treated him. ..oh god, he has Althior as a role model. Quote

Ah, must have misread that. Thought Zeph was saying everyone in the Hall was a jerk wad except for Cronk. Besides, I am mystic knight (knight). Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 ...everyone in the Hall was a jerk wad except for Cronk. Funny 'cause it's true. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 With all the heroes of the hall... the chances of making a friend off the bat are slim. Romulus, Sarge, Eric, Atramor, Arthur- everyone is either angry, sworn to bother people, violent, cocky or stubborn. All part rogues. Coincidence I think not. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Look. Here's something that could happen: Cronk: "Cronk just bashed more evil than Cronk can count!" Docken in raspy voice: "I just killed hundreds of foes. They could not get past my defenses. Then I killed them, armed with nothing but my bow, shield and a complete lack of roleplaying." Atramor: "I just murdered an army of metasimians WITH MY BARE HANDS, badass style." Whiplash of hair, stare in camera, whispers: "I'm a voodoo pirate." Enter random mage: Mage: "Hey dudes, I just defeated some enemies with a firebolt out of my hands!" Cold stares. It's the truth. Quote
Endgame Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 The Wither is as freaky as all heck! ...But also amazing! Exposed heart in the neck is a great idea, and this is from someone who has a phobia of them (don't ask...) Quote

Doesn't that mean Arthur will get an apprentice and that apprentice will steal his girlfriend? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks guys, I am glad you all like the Inquisitors. They had to be suitably strange looking mainly to offend Guts at the suggestion he could have been one Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 No offense or anything, but did you test roll this battle, Rumble? Quote
CMP Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 No offense or anything, but did you test roll this battle, Rumble? You test roll your battles? Dang. I just eyeball it... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Nope, I wing it every time. I know Haroka's health is high, but he is the big boss bad guy, it's to be expected. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 You test roll your battles? Dang. I just eyeball it... Not completely, but I try to make sure the party does not completely die on the first round no matter what they do. On second glance, the battle is a bit less scary than I initially feared, but the Cursed on hit and a 1/6 chance for Hexed are still very very hard to deal with, as well as high damage and insta-kill chances all around, and a lot of health to chip away. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Like I said, it is the big boss fight. It's even got less people in it that I had planned. To be honest, I'm not sure how the Hexed thing will go, but I wanted to have something that took the Darkstar into account. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I feared we had to deal with Hexed. How I expect the hexed thing will work? Guts rolling Ravage against his own party. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 OK, maybe I will amend it to not every party member, just one, who then gets a 1/6 chance. I'd hate for this to end just because some of you guys took a Nostrum! Quote
