Flare Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I'm not confined to a single ending, but the fate of Heroica is malleable, allowing you guys to affect it almost as much as I do. I'm loving this game sooo much! Yuss! Does that mean that I can mess things up if I try hard enough? Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Again, I hate it when people don't read battle plans. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I want the ending where Guts becomes King of Eubric. Quote
Endgame Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 And then proceeds to get ripped apart by every single member of the Six Houses and the Wolfgang. At once. Quote
CMP Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 QM Note: Thanks Psykater. Also, I forgot that Alexander's SP blocked all the damage, and that the At Least 1 Damage ruling applied to multiple free hits. (Where they all stack up.) he is back at 10 health. I don't think that rule was implemented. At least, I hope not. On a related note: Ugly Prince (40th Star) – Location: Prison Room Type: Humanoid Level: 31 Defense: 8 Health: 773/773 Special: Ugly Truth – De-equips all SP-giving equipment from the target. Drops: Robust Shield (SP:8), Star Coin It's the Antidocken. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I don't think that rule was implemented. At least, I hope not. It wasn't. The "Take At Least 1 Damage" rule was removed by Sandy and replaced by the "Free Hits Stack" rule during the first Guffington quest. On a related note: It's the Antidocken. Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 On a related note: It's the Antidocken. Shouldn't the Scroll in his hat make him immune to the special, though? Since it prevents SP reduction? Quote
CMP Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 It's not reducing it, it's just unequipping the stuff. If he is immune to it, then Docken would be unable to take off any artifact that gives him SP, period. Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Good point... EDIT: Well, actually he could, he'd just have to take off the Dread Hat first. Quote
Sandy Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Is it SP before row or the other way round? I've always calculated it like this: (health+SP-(dmg/row)=current health) Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 It's not reducing it, it's just unequipping the stuff. If he is immune to it, then Docken would be unable to take off any artifact that gives him SP, period. Or the QM could put 2 simple words: Ignores SP. Quote
Sandy Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 It's the Antidocken. Feel free to use that special on other enemies as well, QMs. Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Feel free to use that special on other enemies as well, QMs. Quick, add "ghost of the ugly prince" to the Fields enemy roster! On that subject, DO you add new Fields monsters from time to time? Or are you limiting yourself (and now Pie and JimB) to monsters that are already made, and they will never change? Quote
Endgame Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Or, if you are feeling (extra!) devious: Overheat: Heats the hero's SP granting items, causing them to take damage equal to their SP (disregarding row and SP) and disables it for x amount of rounds. Quote
CMP Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Or the QM could put 2 simple words: Ignores SP. Where's the fun in that? I made an item at one point that uses SP as an attack multiplier...looking at it, it'd make for an awesome Special Skill. Or just make a Passive Special that does the same effect...but would directly affect the enemy's level, making his defense both obsolete and quite possibly lethal to his own party. Quote
Zepher Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) I want the ending where Guts becomes King of Eubric. Wine for all! He has Boomingham's vote (that is how you pick a King, right?) And someone in the dark distance of the Mist Lands, there's an army of them gathering, having heard word of a Barty Docken... their mythical foe- the enemy they've trained thousands of years just to beat... and they are beginning to march... Quest ## - The Rise and Fall of Bartholomew Docken EDIT: Sham just has the worst luck. Edited January 27, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 And then proceeds to get ripped apart by every single member of the Six Houses and the Wolfgang. At once. Well, I will have to convince the Houses (and a bunch of Heroes) that it's a good idea, and the Wolfgang can go do whatever. Wine for all! He has Boomingham's vote (that is how you pick a King, right?) By royal decree, yes it is! I will make Boomingham Guts' first vassal. I'm serious by the way. Quote
Zepher Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) Between the two of us (and I bet you we could get Nyx and Atramor on board if it came down to it) we could probably make a pretty impressive dent in the Houses that defied our rule. EDIT: That would actually be an outrageously fun party to quest with too, both balance wise and role playing wise... Edited January 27, 2013 by Zepher Quote
The Legonater Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 EDIT: Sham just has the worst luck. Dyric Rone begs to differ. Quote

Or are you limiting yourself (and now Pie and JimB) to monsters that are already made, and they will never change? Well, there are about 125 different enemies created for the Fields currently, so I think that's variation enough. But if need rises, of course I can always make more. Why do you ask? Do you wanna "catch'em all", like in Pokémon? Quote

As long as Heroica remains a staple of Eubric, Atramor is in. And only as long the drinks remain free of charge, of course. First order of business: let's get the apes out of our city! Quote
Endgame Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 When is generation II of Fieldemon coming out? On that note, somebody should totally make a pokeball-esque item that hexes enemies or something or boosts a summon's power. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Actually, while not really traditional, a quest made for a certain party or hero in general sounds awesome. And I really, really want this to be a thing. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 First order of business: let's get the apes out of our city! Bah! We S.O.Ws will be the most dedicated of servants to King Guts, as soon as the Witches are cast out. Choose us, not them! Quote

Eh, how about like in Super Smash Bros Brawl: a consumable item that, if thrown at an enemy with low enough health (say, 10% of maximum) has a chance to turn the enemy into some kind of token or trophy that can be sold in the Marketplace for a fair amount of money, the value of which is likely based on Level and Health or something to that effect. If the health is too high, or the capture chance fails, the item does a fixed amount of damage and is destroyed. Quote
