Pandora Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Between the two of us (and I bet you we could get Nyx and Atramor on board if it came down to it) we could probably make a pretty impressive dent in the Houses that defied our rule. With the promise of wine, hitting people, and a vague hint of power? Uh huh, I certainly think so. EDIT: That would actually be an outrageously fun party to quest with too, both balance wise and role playing wise... That too! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Bah! We S.O.Ws will be the most dedicated of servants to King Guts, as soon as the Witches are cast out. Choose us, not them! Maybe you could fight to the death to see who is more worthy of vassalage? Quote
Zepher Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Sandy did say at the dawn of the game that he wasn't opposed to hosting personal player quests when the levels got high enough. I don't know if that plan has changed (you don't host enough quests already, right Sandy) but it would indeed be interesting. Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 They're both in 53, I think that can be arranged. Quote
CMP Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Maybe you could fight to the death to see who is more worthy of vassalage? We're I'm not your personal flying monkey. But I'm not opposed to the fight to the death. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Well, I will have to convince the Houses (and a bunch of Heroes) that it's a good idea, and the Wolfgang can go do whatever. You have Sarge on your side! As long as you also have gold. Viva la revolution! Or something like that. Quote
Endgame Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Who died and made Guts king? ...No, really, who? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 What would be truly awesome would be if the six houses elected a patrician, rather like Havelock Vetinari in Discworld Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 But I'm not opposed to the fight to the death. What perfect timing, seeing as Atramor and Thothwick are now both beyond Heroica's resurrecting powers! Might be hard to justify a sudden fight to the death in-character, but roleplaying be damned, I want my place in the court of King Guts! Quote
The Legonater Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Y'know, if King Guts needs a royal bodyguard or trainer or anything... Quote

Haldor and Arthur, on the other hand... So wait, we killed Triad, who was in great physical shape and ready to help us, while we lost use of Felton to save Mallelio, who is, has been, and will continue to be absolutely useless?! God, I hate this Spire crap. I just want to win a fight and actually get something useful out of it, is that too much to ask?! (Don't mind me too much, Zeph, I'm just bored and complaining and in a bad mood because of my computer. ) Edited January 27, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 How would you know? Guts himself hasn't even expressed his plan yet. Simple. All we need to do is take a detour to Fabula Sibylla's temple, and receive a prophecy of King Guts' supreme rule over Eubric. Quote

That actually makes a lot of sense! (here's hoping the prophecy would not be: Eubric, burning, a bald man!) Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Zepher, I want to start seeing some loot in these battles or else I shall cry. Three gold per enemy or 'None' can get wearing after a while. Some consumables would be nice, and some simple weapons maybe, it doesn't have to be just the two options 'Insane artifacts' and 'Bugger all'. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 For some reason I can see Atramor Guts and Hybros ruling Eubric in a triumvirate. Quote
Zepher Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) God, I hate this Spire crap. I just want to win a fight and actually get something useful out of it, is that too much to ask?! You get something super useful out of each spire you stop from opening, and lose something big for each one you lose. You just haven't encountered it yet. And I guess if you don't want to fight spires... I could send you guys somewhere else soon... EDIT: I know, I do apologize for that, Scorpiox. I think you guys have gotten a decent enough amount of loot (not gold, that will come along sooner or later) but with such a large party, it doesn't seem like as much. There is more loot in the upcoming battles than in the previous few. Edited January 27, 2013 by Zepher Quote

Endgame Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 We all seem to be forgetting which insane, guilt-driven undead currently has 2,000 gold and counting. Quote
Flipz Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) I don't know. Hybros stands a good chance at doing it too. Eh, Guts can just bribe a mage ( ) into casting a spell that turns Hybros into a secondary character in a Zepher quest. ...or the other way around, Arthur isn't above working for the highest bidder... These Spires are getting old, in-character especially. I hope so--that's a big part of the "getting nothing out of it" perception. Edited January 27, 2013 by Flipz Quote
