Dannylonglegs Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Sylph has no aspirations of conquering Eubric or even the world for that matter. He has different goals in mind that don't have anything to do with ruling anything. Sorry Q48ers, I spent all day driving back to college. Order up! Sandy Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 Speaking of which....will there be a final decision on the Witch's shield soon? Ah, yes! Out of all the suggestions for the new Shield-skills, I choose... mine. Here's the revised rule page: Fun fact - In Quest 53, it is still the day after Grogmas! If we take it like that, it's still November in Quest#50. I guess the party just got their Grogmas gifts early. Quote
Flipz Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I just went under the impression that days pass at roughly normal speed, but weeks, months, etc. pass far quicker than in our world--but at the same time, the aging processes of mortals also runs much more quickly, so it all evens out to roughly "normal" passage of time as far as aging goes. Then again, I've probably overthought this a bit. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Suddenly, Witch looks like a very tempting class. Quote
Flare Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Is anyone else already preparing a quest for the new heroes or I should just go ahead with it? Quote

The way I see it is that the time in-between quests is close to real time, but during quests it depends on what happens. So heroes on quests are in a sort of "time pocket". But yeah, you shouldn't think about this too hard, or you'll get a headache. Is anyone else already preparing a quest for the new heroes or I should just go ahead with it? No, nobody else has pitched me any quest ideas lately. Quote
Flipz Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Pie, be glad that Arthur's not in a state to read between the lines at the moment. Very glad. Expect him to pop up and kill you if/when anyone, you know, actually states the obvious. Quote
Flare Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 No, nobody else has pitched me any quest ideas lately. OK. Well I guess I better finish writing it up for you then Quote
Flipz Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Q53ers: No, that's not a virus. If you don't want to mess about trying to read it, basically Arthur (or is it...? ) is saying the result will be the same whether he stays with Gray and the others back at base, or if he goes to the Court with the others. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 No, nobody else has pitched me any quest ideas lately. About that.. I have a quest in the works. But the story isn't yet as amazing as it should be. I'll send you the latest draft if you like! Quote

I'm not even going to try translating that; ciphers are one thing, but lots of weird symbols making no sense are another. So it is a choice between going to the Court to meet Mephisto, or hunting Pogs in the sewers? Damn, that's a hard choice. Edited January 28, 2013 by Scorpiox Quote

I gave up on Arthur's gibberish a long time ago. Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 In other news, I really hope that Eric sticks around in the hall for a while, there is so much that Haldor wants to say! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I gave up on Arthur's gibberish a long time ago. When doesn't he speak gibberish? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 When doesn't he speak gibberish? Exactly. Quote
Flipz Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ha ha ha. For your information, *begins speaking gibberish*. In other news, I really hope that Eric sticks around in the hall for a while, there is so much that Haldor wants to say! Forget sticking around the Hall, he needs to come help us! Quote
Endgame Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Psst, I heard highlighting the text helps get those wacky symbols out of the way. I don't even see how making those things are even possible on a keyboard, though - what alien computer have you been using while yours is in the shop, Flipz?! Quote
Zepher Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 For those wondering, Flipz has taken Arthur out of commission, not me. He will recover whenever Arthur decides he recovers. We're getting closer and closer to the end! Hopefully you're starting to feel a bit more haggard and a little more afraid/epic. I'm super excited for the Court. Quote
Khorne Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 In other news, I really hope that Eric sticks around in the hall for a while, there is so much that Haldor wants to say! He's probably going to stick around for a while. There's free beer and no quests, where else could he go? After all, he had his time "alone" after leaving #42. Now that you mention Haldor having questions for Eric, have they actually met before in detail? I vaguely recall some short conversation, but I can't remember if Eric even got to know Haldor's name (and vice versa). I should keep more track of such things. Quote

Zepher Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Oh, and Atters, thanks for the Boomingham shout out! I appreciate that you know both my NPCs and PC are likely to murder you! Quote

UsernameMDM Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 And I seem to remember someone getting upset about Atramor being useless for an entire battle. Being useless for the entire quest? A good way to guarantee no Perma-KO! Just kidding. I am sure there will be some sort of catalyst, and Arthur will come to full consciousness of his true inner demi-god and destroy all life around him as he loses it in an Avatar-state like experience.
